Can I edit a PDF file that I've not created?

Is it possible to edit pdf documents created by others?

Of course, unless they are protected and assuming you have Acrobat, of course.

  • editing a pdf file that I not create

This program will allow me to easily change/revise a pdf file that I've not created? Specifically, my employer request frequently copies of my credit card statement so that I can be reimbursed for the expenses and I do not wish to reveal all other purchases I made. Can I remove those with this program?  Currently, I have to print it, cover them Sharpie, scan him in and then send it. Yuck.

  • How can I convert a PDF file that is larger than 100 MB?

Hello! How can I convert a PDF file that is larger than 100 MB?

    Hi larissat90944947,

As you have discovered, there is a 100 MB file size limit for files to download for ExportPDF online service. Acrobat has such a limitation, however. If you want, you can start a free 30 day trial of Acrobat. You can download the trial of http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  • How can I edit a pdf file in adobe reader dc?

No way with just the free reader. You have need of Acrobat, or one of its associated services.

    Hi Musicmanat59,

You need Acrobat to edit a PDF file; and it is only available on Mac OS and Windows. There is a free Adobe Reader app for iOS, which allows you to comment on a PDF document, but you wouldn't be able to make any real changes.

  • How can I edit a PDF file? Once it is saved I can edit is no longer the doc...

I saved a PDF of an online site and now that I have to edit some info, I don't know how to do... Help, please!

You posted your question at the forum of "Adobe Reader".

Adobe Reader cannot create a PDF file, can not handle the content of a page ("edit") PDF and can not export the contents of a PDF page.

For a desktop application, you would need of Acrobat and not Adobe Reader.

    Be well...

  • I have Acrobat 9 Standard at work.  How can I edit a PDF file using this?

Part of my job is to create a PDF from web pages and then by removing non-essential materials.  But, I have Acrobat 9 Standard.  How can I do this with what I have?

You can use the text editing tool to remove things. Alternatively, you can redact elements. Do not reflow to work, Acrobat isn't a real editor, but it's simple editing tools to fix simple rises. I would say download HTML source and installation which - appears as a much simpler process. If someone (like a boss) insists that use Acrobat and get a PDF file, then I recommend that you download the HTML editing and then create a PDF file from this edited version. Probably much faster, it can be to learn HTML. Many tools such as in SeaMonkey HTML editor and other tools of the Editor (DreamWeaver is usually recommended) can be used.

  • How can I edit a PDF file to have an expanded text box and more small margins?

I just read a long discussion initiated by a guy who wanted to reconstruct a PDF file to print less pages. I do not ask this topic. I am aware that Acrobat 9 Pro will not recompose the pages in a PDF for you. as someone has said, it is not a word processing program. I want to copy a PDF file into a new file with an expanded text box and more small margins, so I can read it more easily. My view is not so great.

I try to print a U.S. supreme court decision, for my study. The problem is that these PDF files of such decisions are composed of 10-points with generous margins, in pages of Folio-size smaller than 8 1/2 x 11 "." When you open PDFs of these decisions, you get the margins very broad and relatively small characters. Essentially, I would like to re-rasterize the document so it prints on my 8 1/2 x 11 "paper in a larger size of apparent type, but at the same high resolution as the original. Moreover, the decision that I'm getting is almost 200 pages long, so I won't do that, of course, in a page-by-page manner.

I guess I could do it in Photoshop, in pages to blow and their culture. Photoshop does a good job of eliminating aliasing when you do this. But it seems to me better to re-rasterize pages of the source PDF file. If any player would be nice enough to explain this process? (I'm fairly warned in Photoshop, Illustrator and printer of computing concepts, but a complete newb in Acrobat).

If you want just this for printing, one thing you can easily do is to crop all pages to remove the margins. For example, you can RP 2 "on the left and right sides, and 1.5" off the top and bottom. Then print using a Scaling of the Page to "adapt to the printable area.

To crop in Acrobat 9, select: Document > Pages of culture

Be sure to select all for the page range.
