Satellite Pro P100 PSPAEE: driver XP Chipset/USB needed urgently!

I have a PSPAEE-00E006EN P100 which was ordered with Vista Business installed. Its use is on a network and business using Navision 3.7 and SalesLogix, who are unable to work on Vista at the moment.

We have a spare XP Pro license and I reformatted the machine and installed what works very well except for three small annoyances with missing drivers - 'Modem device on High Definition Audio Bus', 'Network controller' (wireless) and 'Hub USB root' x 5. I tried different drivers of you Toshiba download site and the Intel chipset driver from their site with no effect.

The first missing driver is relatively important, but the other two are quite critical. If someone could point me to where I can download them or bring them in another way then I would be extremely grateful for some.

TIA

Hello

Did you really use the right drivers for the right series of notebook?
He is a Pro P100 series and be sure that you use the XP drivers from the PSPAE series to 100%!

I found all the XP drivers on the Europe of Toshiba page. Also the chipset utility v.7.2.2.1006, different drivers WLan (Intel & Atheros) and the installation instructions!

The installation instruction is very important! You must follow the order of installation shown in this document!

Please check again!

I have a Satellite Pro P100-PSPAEE running Vista Ultimate. Recently, the screen started going black and white during the day. It does not seem to be asleep like nothing refreshes the screen. All I can do is hold the power button and restart the laptop. Have tried rash, the compressed air fan and have re - configure the minimum processor power management to 100%. Am still getting the problem everyone else encountered this problem and have you found a solution, I would prefer not to have to open the laptop and play with the heat sink.

Don't you think that this problem could be related to problems of overheating?
Eventually it s only a software problem

So try first update the graphics driver and BIOS!

One question; have you noticed the same issue using the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba?

  • Satellite Pro P100 - cannot boot from external USB DVD

My internal DVD player on my Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 failed, and my windows is broken.
So I bought an external DVD drive to boot from, so I can recover the system using the product recovery DVD.

Now, he actually goes ahead and starts from the DVD. But once in the setup it gives me the message: "ERROR: file Setenv.ini D:\Setenv.ini or X:\Tools\Setenv.ini not found!

So I went ahead and checked if the file was... it was... but it is on Drive E:\ (probably because it's a USB device I'm starting from)

-J' did some research and found that I needed to run the command: X:\tools\recogui /FE: say the recovery my files were actually on drive E:-which has helped a little... until I got a new error where it was always looking for the *. Now what do I do to understand everything is to the recoveryprocedure on drive E: and not D:, as he seems to think?

As I am in the middle of a period of review, quick response would be GREATLY appreciated :)

    Bad new boyfriend!
Boot from external DVD USB drive is NOT possible!

You can start only from the inside, ODD, HARD, LAN disk and external USB FDD (floppy)

  • Satellite Pro P100 - Touchpad driver for Windows 7 32 bit

    Hello

I'm looking for a touchpad for my P100 (PSPA4E) driver that works under Windows 7 32 bit. After changing from Windows XP to Windows 7, the tochpad is no longer in effect.

THX in advance for your help!

    Concerning

    Hello

Generally for touchpad no additional driver is necessary. The touchpad also works without a driver touchpad as the standard Windows driver will be used.
Driver Touchpad is more important for special functions as virtual scrolling, change the tapping settings, etc.

You can download all the drivers of Toshiba's official website:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But to look for in driver * Archives * because he old laptop s model.
It s no driver 32-bit of Windows 7 available, but I've seen touchpad driver for Vista. It should work on Windows 7 too. :)

    Check this box!

  • Re: Satellite Pro P100 (PSPAEE) turn on automatically

    Hello

My PSPAEE P100 is under Vista 32-bit, that it came with and it has since turned on new itself on the time standby or hibernation. It's as if it has a sensor of movement inside and as soon as I move or get to work or to a customer his switched itself, overheated in my bag for laptop and even run out of battery.

I downloaded on the site web of Toshiba, the latest drivers and BIOS but nothing helps, I checked the power management, but there is nothing in there.

Does anyone have an idea why it is doing it or how to stop it, it makes me crazy. At least the last updated Bios stopped spinning up and down like a yo yo fan on a rollercoaster ride every 5 seconds.

Any help appreciated before stamping on it until it is in small pieces and my sanity restored.

    Thank you

    Duncan

Have you disabled Wake on LAN in the BIOS? Check it!
In addition, disable this feature in Windows, the Device Manager => right click on map network-online properties.

I hope it's useful for you.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - replacing the HARD drive internal

I have a Satellite Pro P100 with a concert of 60 internal HDD and would like to replace this with a 250 or 320 GB drive.

Anyone can suggest a way to imagery of the current drive and copy this back to the new drive without having to re - install the operating system and other installed software?

I have a couple of USB 2.0 external drives with sufficient capacity.

    Hello

You first need to know if the more drive HARD 250 GB or 320 GB would be compatible and if the BIOS recognize this HARD drive without major worries!
The problem is that not all HARD drive sizes are supported by the BIOS.
Then all first check if the new HARD drive are supported!

You ask how to get all the files on the new disk? I recommend good reinstall the OS from the recovery CD. It would be to reinstall the OS, drivers, tools, utilities.
If you have other files such as mp3, etc it then backup to the external USB HDD.
Then you could connect this HARD drive to the laptop and could transfer it on the internal HARD disk.

  • Satellite Pro P100: How to recover BONES after replacing HARD drive

    Hello

I bought a satellite Pro P100, and I want to change my hard drive
I have the CD restored, but I think that this will not work with a new hard drive!
What can I do to recover my windows?

    Sorry for my englich!

    Thank you

    Hey Phillipe,

Your recovery CD works on what hard drive install you in your laptop. Are the only factors affecting the hard disk of your choice: -.

    1. compatibility of the BIOS (should not be a problem with the P100 model)
This model mainly old laptop impact where the BIOS could not recognize larger drives.

    2 form factor
You should make sure that the disc you choose has the same physical dimensions as your
    existing drive.

    3 speed
Disks hard more quickly improve access times so check out 5400 and 7200 RPM. (there may be a problem
with the generation of heat so 5400 RPM is probably better than 7200)

The are no problem with Windows licenses as the license applies to the operating system itself and not on the hard disk on which it is installed.

    Kind regards

  • Lack of Vista driver Firewire for Satellite Pro P100

My Satellite Pro P100 (PSPAAE) has a firewire Jack, but I see no sign of a driver on the download page.

I missing something or don't have a Toshiba again release a firewire driver?

    Hello

The firewire IEEE 1394 port doesn't have any particular third-party drivers 3rd!
This port uses and needs a simple common Microsoft OS driver.

Check the Device Manager and I'm sure the firewire port will display correctly

  • Official release of the drivers XP and Vista for Satellite Pro P100 - 465 PSPAEE

When will it be available for XP and Vista for the PSPAEE drivers? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E, some of whom work, others do not, no operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Upgrade and pilots work, but two of the pilot applications are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I couldn't get no option to allow to these (not yet classified MS so they are locked) told me to disable Defender technical support!
I tried a clean install of my own version of Vista business and had problems of drivers with that as well.

I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more effective I would use drivers specifically for her, so time would be very useful.

I would also like to know why there is a where a finger scanner could go under the 0 on the keypad, and a blocked stop lower PCMCIA port (PCI-E?) when any of these are available as an upgrade option? I missed these upgrade options or is it a case of recycled from another model, they exist? If the latter then it is quite cheap for a new machine :)

    Hello

We have all the users here can suggest only it seems that Vista and XP drivers are already available for Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
So in my opinion the next drivers for the next series should follow in the near future

I don t see it differently as to wait

Of course, you can test different drivers from different series as Sat P100.
Many laptop models use the same devices and therefore different unique pilots could be compatible

  • What Win XP driver is required for the port DV on a Satellite Pro P100

Which driver "specifically" is held by Win XP on a Satellite Pro P100 DV port?
Toshiba provides this driver on the download page?

Win XP does not recognize the camera into the DV port.
It does not recognize the camera a few months ago but not detect it when it is connected.

I don't know what changes have been made since then. Can I simply re - install the proper drivers?

    Thanks in advance.
    Tom

    Hello

DV port? Do you mean the iLink (firewire port)?
    You have a camcorder?

I can connect my camcorder to the laptop using the firewire cable and firewire port.
There is no special driver for the firewire port. The Windows operating system contains the own drivers that control this port.

Maybe you should remove the device and then Manager should restart the operating system. This allows to recognize the FireWire again

Edit: I come from Germany, sorry for my bad English. :)

I presume you bought Satellite P100 and no Satellite Pro P100. Am I wrong?

In any case, if your P100 laptop is Vista preinstalled laptop, you may have problem because right now all new laptops Vista are not taken WXP supported. Of course, it will take a little time to have drivers of Windows XP Home edition.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - 11(d) crashed and Linux does not load

    Hello.

I have a Satellite Pro P100 - 11(d) which have worked well since 2007 both with preinstalled Windows and Ubuntu last.

But... Yesterday, Firefox crashes, I thought, but after the restart it was not able to load Ubuntu desktop, comes from a command prompt.

I tried to reinstall the driver and xserver with no luck.
Tried to reinstall Ubuntu together, but it stops while loading of Ubuntu live.

Thought maybe, a hard drive crash so I want to wipe the entire hard drive and so reinstalled Windows, which wouldn't load after installation. Changed the hard drive to a WD250GB, but always the same - stop loading live Ubuntu and Debian and Meego...

Has a verified memory from the live USB of Ubuntu (before loading Ubuntu), no errors.
I have an idea that maybe the graphics, but it has no errors or defects to display install screens - graphics.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Oh, I had Ubuntu while loading, try checking the hard drive and what makes some mistakes, why I thought it might be a hard drive problem.

    Thanks in advance
    Leif

    Hello

    What about another system? Windows?
Can you start and install Windows system using the Toshiba Recovery disk?

Generally speaking, it is not easy to say what has caused this problem
It may be related to no hardware, a part even if the HARD drive or memory error was not detected, one of these parties may malfunction
Worst case its something wrong with the motherboard but it s only a hypothesis.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - screen and sound problems after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hi all

I got my Satellite Pro P100 (model number is PSPAEE-00C006EN and the second digit of the serial number is '7') upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and since then, some bugs seem to have had place - can someone help me on the following:

-L' screen DIMS increments, irrespective of the fact that I have saved my power settings to stay on FULL (battery or sector)

-No sound. Once or twice, the sound card worked and settings to say this works correctly (and you can see the movement of the graphic equalizer).
In terms of PC knowledge, I would be 5/10 (so not a dummy, but certainly not a pro! and we tried a lot of the more obvious things)

    Thank you all

    Hello

1.) if the screen dim option doesn't properly work, I recommend you to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package. This package controls these functions, the keys FN and others. Visit the Toshiba page for an update!

2.) did you check if the sound is muted if the equalizer work? In addition you can also try to update the audio driver might it work ;)
