  First of all.  What is your version of forms (for example: 11.1.2.2.0 not 11g).  Finally, who will use the .csv file?  If it is a user on their client computer - CLIENT_TEXT_IO TEXT_IO or WebUtil are standard packages used to export data to a file of Oracle Forms.

  The amount of data to be exported?  If you export only a couple hundred lines - export of Froms will be OK.  If you export more lines than that (300 + lines) then the export will be extremely slow to your username.  Keep in mind that forms is not designed to perform data exports - there are better tools available for this...

  When I generate my book file, I get the following error in the log:

  Show/hide hidden is incompatible.

  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem?

  FrameMaker assumes that when you export a book, you would like conditional text to shown the same way across all documents in the book. It warns you if it is not so.

  "Show/hide hidden is incompatible" means that the hidden state is not configured the same throughout your book. For example, it can be displayed in some documents but hidden in others, or an indicator of Condition red in some texts, but blue in others.

  To resolve this problem:

  1. Select a document in your book where the conditional text settings are correct and open.
  2. Click on the book and type Ctrl + A to select all the documents in it.
  3. Choose file > import > Formats. Import the Formats dialog box appears:
     1. Click deselect all.
     2. Check the conditional text settings .
     3. Click import.

  All the documents in your book have now the same conditional text as your chosen document settings.

My teacher asks me to view this Web site on their Web site in an "HTML editor". I guess that my site will have to be exported as HTML, but only as text so that I can spent in the field on the my course Web site.

  I exported my site in HTML but I am provided with a file that I can download. My course Web site will not accept the exported HTML file, so I wonder if there is a way for me to paste my site as HTML text into the box, so I can publish my site. I'll give you an attached image showing the HTML code that I need to paste my site into the editor.

  HTML is just text. You can open it in the editor similarly simpler.

  I'm looking for instructions on the use of conditional text. Our company has grown, and that the range of products has increased, the number of conditional text tags has increased.   You might want to take a look at Matt Sullivan & Sarah O'Keefe book (edition Fundamentals - unstructured FrameMaker 11; Chapter 24) for some background information on the consequences of the use of the multiple conditional tags. Depending on what your choice (i.e. to hide or show content based on the condition tag), you can get in very complex situations with some items possibly requiring each combination of tags applied to prevent display (or display) as needed. Even with simple simple conditional tags, it can reach a very large number of unique tags required (mathematically, you are summing a series of combinations). For example, [as used in the Book], given a product in Light versions, Standard and Pro with specific online requirements & Print for Mac, Windows and Unix, there are 32 conditional tags applied correctly. If you have content that should appear in a few versions, it climbs easily up to 47 unique tags. You'd be better trying to herd a bunch of cats in a field of grass cat...

  You mentioned you want to only read text files.

  If you are referring to a specific set of extensions, you can filter on this basis.

  ex: you want to only read .txt files, you can add an if condition as below:

  I believe that it is possible to create and export text fields for the completion of a PDF file but can't find this feature in my (albeit) version of InDesign CS4. Does anyone know if it is something that only became available in CS5 go?

  Are you familiar with JavaScript?

  It does not completely answer your question, but the text displayed on the screen from any language (ActionScript/CreateJS / [insert the programming language]) generally all following the same path. Each language has a file stored in some form of key = value style, named through the language and the country of your choice, for example en_US.json

  Any language would allow the user to choose regional settings. The application would then grab the appropriate file and everywhere where the text is needed, the script must be using a (usually global or singleton) variable/service that can get the text of the requested key.

  for example if I wanted a user to have a confirmation of dialogue who said 'are you sure?"with buttons for 'Yes' and 'No', I would have (for me), an Englishman, USA base file en_US.json with these values, for example:

  Then you use simply JS/AJAX to read this file. You analyze, or simply JSON decode in an object, or manually, depending on what suits your needs. When you want to display any text, you use the object (variable, maintenance, etc.) you have stored these values.

  Just be ready for the most difficult challenge. At least for me. The size of the text in several languages is very different, and in some cases requires the loading of special fonts. This can make layout in a very difficult dynamic environment. Always thinking all text how big or small can be in any particular and plan field on this size more and shrink so that to handle this situation correctly.

So far, I don't know how to open each file, define the TEXT CONDITIONAL SHOW/HIDE like I need (is not to show very indicators and according to my built-up expression) then save and close each file.

  Is there a way to make all my files at once? Note I want them all put the same way... so that might make it easier...

  I do not have FrameMaker available right now, so I work from memory, using FrameMaker traditional menus, rather than the FM 9 tools.

  Select all the files in the window of the book. With the asset book window, open the view menu and search for conditional text. Your settings here apply to all the files selected in the address book window, so it is possible to establish conditions on some or all of the files. CTRL + click to select non-contiguous files; Shift + click to select a range of contiguous files.

  According to the request, I understand that when you export images from Lightroom it shows only the crops, is not editing.

  It is specific to a single image or all images in the catalog?
