  You can install and activate on two computers, but you are not supposed to use both simultaneously.  Adobe has imagined users using their Office adobe cs while at home and their laptop while traveling or using the suite to a home computer and work computer.

  According to the license agreement, the license of the OS is for you only, but you can install on any computer YOU own and control. So if download you it and then reject the Setup program before you start, you can find it in your Applications folder from where you can copy it somewhere safe to use on another computer that you own.

  Lightroom 4 and later will not install or run on the 32-bit editions and 64-bit of Windows XP Edition family or professional

  Lightroom 5 et seq. will not install or run on 32-bit editions of Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1 for Windows and Mac OS 10.6.x

  Lightroom CC will not install or run on Mac OS 10.7.x

  You can install and activate the perpetual software (purchased) two computers of the same type (mac or pc), as long as you use it one at a time. Lightroom is the exception because it is a cross-platform product, so it can be installed on the pc and mac platforms.
