Can I put Win7 English on Vista in another language?
Hello
I'm currently under Vista Home Premium in Finnish and I try to upgrade to Windows 7 professional English. However, my computer will not recognize the installation DVD and when I try it boot from a USB drive, an error message comes up saying the version of Windows you want to install is not compatible with the current version of Windows.
I was under the impression, change the language, it will need to install a custom but should work otherwise. Is this the case?
Switch from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional is NOT a supported upgrade path.
And upgrades should also be done in the original language of the system provided with.

That's what I get:
http://i69.Photobucket.com/albums/i46/quattro_rs/1234.jpg
and this is the latest version of BIOS for the F30, what can I do now?
Hi guys
I think you have to wait a little longer than people G30 because BIOS for G30 is already out and it works with Vista.
A friend of mine already installed it on G30 HD - DVD.But strange BIOS 1.30 for Qosmio F30 is OS independent.
If this will not work, however, wait for a NEW version...

Ideas: have tried the normal method of reinstall by putting in the recovery disk, shut down the PC, then turning back on, but it didn't work, so now here ask for ideas on how this is possible.
- You have problems with programs
- Error messages
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
No, the recovery disk you is specially designed for your computer and the product activation key will not work for a long time or not at all.
Your friend needs to buy a version of 'Upgrade' the Windows Visa or Windows 7.

Hello
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.
Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.
Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

I used Vista. All of a sudden the icons at the bottom left of my screen disappeared. How can I put them there? I used to have the show desktop icon, show all windows and a set of how quickly programs, such as MicroSoft Outlook, launch Chrome, Firefox Messenger.
Try this:
Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, point to toolbars, and then click quick launch.
A check mark appears, indicating that the Quick Launch toolbar is visible on the taskbar.

I have an older Dell laptop, Latitude D800. The hard drive is 60 gig. Can I put Vista on it? How much space does Vista take?
Hello Ralph St. Clair.
# You can not put Vista on it and there is nothing to do with the size of the hard drive, which is acceptable according to the minimum standards of Microsoft.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/products/system-requirements
And Microsoft sells more than Vista.
I'm sorry but never written/provided by Dell Vista or Windows 7 Hardware Drivers for this Latitude D800 laptop model.
They only has written/provided pilots until and including the XP operating system
You need the drivers to make it work properly...
Read the information on the link of Dell; Click the drop-down operating system:

I'll upgrade a Win7 Home Basic Spanish to a Win 7 Home Premium. I just bought a Win7 Home Premium Box to Brazil (Brazilian DVD), in Puerto Rico and wanted to know if and how I can install it in English or Spanish, I said that I can choose any language during installation
The person using the machine knows not Portuguese, so Windows must be either in English or in Spanish. I said by two vendors that it was possible, but I'm not 100% sure. Wanted to confirm before you open the box.
Thank you very much in advance
Only the version of Windows 7 Ultimate supports multilingual functionality. You can upgrade using the Windows Anytime Upgrade feature for $139.95, or you can buy the English version of Windows Home Premium and install it.
Good luck.

Step 1. I choose Chinese (PRC) in the list format (region and language) and set the format of 'YYYY-MM-dd' date, apply. It is ok.
Step 2. I choose English (United States) in the list format (region and language) and set the format of 'YYYY-MM-dd' date, apply. It is ok.
Step 3. I chose the back to Chinese (PRC) in the format list (region and language), format date is reset to "YYYY/M/d", it is not ok for me.
How can I set the format of a two language. ?
Because I use the siemens industry software, when to change language it will read the date format different from the language that is displayed. My client want to see the same format.
I tested under Win XP, it may set the format even in different languages
Hi Jerry,
Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums.
It is normal that you can not set the same date format for both languages at the same time. You will need to use the drop-down list to choose a date format customized if necessary.
Hope this information helps.

Can satellite A350-13D - I install Vista 64-bit?
Hello
(sorry, I can't speak English very well, sorry if I write to you with its imperfections)3 days ago, I bought a Toshiba Satellite A350-13D. It has 4 GB of RAM, but Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit is installed. The computer can use only 3 GB.
I can't install Vista Home Premium 64-Bit to use all of the RAM (4 GB)? Where can I download the driver for my computer?
Thanks for your help :)
Good dayHello!
Of course, you can install Windows Vista 64 bit, why not? What do you think?
On the Toshiba site I can find all the drivers for Vista 64 bit on Satellite A350 so it should all work properly with Vista 64. Check yourself:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download driversBut note there are two different BIOS versions One available for 32-bit and one for 64-bit. After installation of Vista 64-bit, you must refresh the BIOS too.
Good bye

How can I put an analog clock safe on the desktop?
Recently, due to security problems Windows Sidebar has been made inoperative.
I was using the Microsoft clock available in the sidebar widget.
Is there any other way to get a secure analog clock available for my office?
I have Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, which I run in Aero - because I usually have enough memory for my use.
You might be able to find one online for free, but be careful when you download from. I just let the digital clock on the lower right of the screen.
