  Thank you for posting.  There is a good chance that the game is not compatible with Vista.  More as you will need to install the game in compatibility mode for Windows 95.  You can do this by accessing the installer or the installation file in games CD media.  Then you right-click on this file and select the Compatibility tab.  Once you just select compatibility for Windows 95, press on apply and ok and then install.  If the game is compatible with Vista, it should play.

  I would check the Web site for Odin power for the system configuration required, I find in the Windows Vista Compatibility Center.

  You can see if it is running in Compatibility Mode of Windows.

  1. right click on Odin-> Diet-> go to properties go to compatibility-> check the box for "Run the program in compatibility mode" and choose Windows XP (service pack 3)

  2. click on "change the setting to all users.

  3. then, check the box "Run this program as Administrator"

  4 try again see if you can run Odin Diet.

  When I try and run any application on my Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1, I get the following error message:

  "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. May not permissions to access you the item.

  Even if I try and run the Control Panel, I get the same message. I get these messages if I try to start applications via the menu programs. However, if I go to the application itself and right click and "run as Administrator" application starts ok.

  I am currently set as an administrator. I've been running this system for at least a year without any problems... Also (at the same time this problem started) my Zone Alarm sw and other sw start ceased when I turn on the computer running.

  Something happened that caused this, any ideas what and how I could fix it?

  Donna, I uninstalled Zone Alarm and restarted my computer, as you suggested and everything was fixed :-)

  I then re-installed Zone Alarm and everything remained fixed, so I now have a fully functional system with Zone Alarm running.

  If the problem was that Zone Alarm had got Mixed Up somehow.

  Thank you to think about it, I tried this before doing an inplace upgrade, so it saved me a lot of time,
