  Facebook gives you hundreds of thousands of free Shutterstock images to use on your ads. When you start creating an ad, and you are prompted to choose a photo, you can click on the button Free Stock Images and their research library.

  Generally, this type of use is allowed. The image is not to provide the primary value, so you should be OK. A restriction to consider would be the race of 500 000 limit. If you expect more than 500 k downloads you would need an extended license.

  You don't have to do anything special at all. Just download the image to your desktop and use it anyway you would use normally any other image.

  I downloaded pictures under standard license to the title of the original monthly subscription when Stock first launched and used 56 images in a design for a pack of coaching. These are intended only for my own use in my company and for a single draw (IE a 56 card game), my colleagues have seen now design and several have said they would like to buy a pack of me but I am aware that this is of use and may require licenses extended if I go ahead and create and sell several packs. I looked at one of the images and found a price of $39.99, so the complete package would cost well over $2 k, beyond the sale price of a handful of packs. I would be grateful for some advice on my options here, for example, could I buy some several types of license for the game and how much would this cost? I am in England so a price of £ would be preferable.

  If you are just using it as a background element in your Web site I see really no reason why you can't.
