At this point I turned off a turned on the computer, allowing access again.  1 prob. This keeps coming and go where I can and cannot click to open things from the start tab.  Prob 2 there are lines of light on dashboard on both sides of the computer that says "tablet pc Input Panel", what is it, and why I can't get rid of it.  Prob 3, I just want to go back to my old screen is possible.

  I went to start search and type rstrui and tried to restore to yesterday.  Process, restarted, but an error came say it has failed.  I tried a 2nd and 3rd times where I couldn't even read the pop up when she came back because we were back to not be able to view anything.  4th test was identical to the first.  How can I restore my computer to how it worked before?

  If you are using norton it will stop system restore

  Using the F8 method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
  3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
  5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

  You can completely (we have cs3 on a 64-bit machine)... remember that it is always a 32-bit program, and so you will always have only access to 4 GB of ram.

  Windows Vista was released at the end of 2006, and Streets & Trips 2003 was released at the end of 2002. There may be compatibility problems, but if you provide more information about the error, there may be a way to solve the problem.
