  With hearing CS6, you buy a perpetual license (pay once, use forever) and obtain a serial number specific to the platform which can be used on 2 x OR 2 x Windows Mac. You cannot use the same serial number on Mac and Windows.

  What Mary meant here was that if you buy software through Adobe authorized reseller volume license then you will receive the serial number two (one for Windows) and one for Mac. So you can install the software on one of the machines by inserting the respective keys for Windows or Mac, but are not allowed to use the software on two machines at the same time but one at a time.

  However if you buy a commercial version of this software from Adobe, com, then you need to purchase separate licenses for WIndows and Mac
