Can I use the HDMI port to connect to an external monitor while shooting video with my EOS 7 d? In addition, this monitor can be a 1920 X 1080 HD monitor? I would need to get a mini HDMI cable DVI, but want to make sure, that it would not harm the camera before trying.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello HowardLane,

Yes, you would certainly be able to use the EOS 7 d HDMI output to connect to an external monitor.  While a studio monitor is usually used because of their qualities of accuracy and calibration of color, any monitor with a HDMI terminal input would work.  This will not harm the camera.

  • HP w2338h 23 '' diagonal Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor - this can be used as a TV?

    Hello

This LCD monitor can be connected to a comcast box and used a TV? I am not knowledgeable on the jargon and terms related to the display technologies so may not be the question in a technically correct way, please forgive this. What we have is a proper HDTV in the living room and a connection from comcast as a cable source. I want to use this HP monitor as a second display for my laptop computer and if possible in a bedroom tv. I have a coaxial output available in the bedroom, but I guess that can be used at all. If the answer is Yes, it can be used as a TV, then what all is necessary to do so (fancy cables? / some other hardware?)

    Thank you.

You go needed an another Comcast set-top box (STB) with a HDMI to get the best picture. Do not spend a lot of money on an HDMI cable.  www.pccables.com has good HDMI cables at a reasonable price.  You can always connect your laptop to the screen with the VGA cable.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 connection LCD monitor & projector problem

I bought a HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 with Windows 8, for my church, which came standard with 2 DVI ports. I attach a LCD monitor to 1 Port and a projector to another. Start the computer and both screens remained blank. I disconnect me the projector, restart the computer and the monitor running normally. I then connect the projector in the other port and it works as expected. However, when I restart the poster blank rest until I have do as above. I also reset the BIOS to the default settings, and both screen and projector came fine. Yet once, when I restarted, same problem. I manually set the resolution for both devices. Problem remains - every time that I reboot, displays may not run until I disconnect the projector, reboot, and after successful reboot, reconnect the projector. Any suggestions?

Thank you for running these tests and getting back to me. I think that it is prudent to exclude at this stage of material. I have two options for you to try.

I would like you to reinstall the graphics driver.

Press the Windows key + Q to bring up the search

    Type 'unit'

    Click on Device Manager

    Expand graphics cards

    Double-click Intel

Click the driver tab and click the uninstall

    Restart the computer

Windows will automatically detect the missing driver and reinstall it on reboot. Once you are in the start screen of Windows, shutdown, connect two screens (a screen and a projector or two monitors, anyway) the computer turn on and I would like to know what the results are.

I would also try both screens set before to turn on/off mode safe. You may need to press and hold the ESC key lighting to get the option come up, instead of SHIFT F8 as set out in section. Take a look at this article to get the procedure start mode safe. Let me know what you find

The problem is solved only when I restart my computer. I think the Win XP driver problem because I don't have this problem when I use Win Vista. Everyone knows it needs to solve this problem?

  • Satellite L650 - HDMI connection for external monitor

I've linked the laptop to my Sony LCD TV via HDMI, no problem. I have a (Acer, 24-inch) LCD monitor that has a HDMI port also. I used it to play ps3 and xbox360 via HDMI connection, no problem. I have two lines HDMI 1.3. The two lines are working without any problems.

However, when I connect my laptop to my LCD Acer just external LCD monitor can t work properly. I can barely see what is display on the monitor, very snowy. It's hard to describe. I took a photo but don't know where to download it here.

I tried both HDMI lines, but both failed. I tried to change a few settings in the laptop, but nothing makes any difference. I'm looking for the driver for video card on the Web from Toshiba website and found that my current license is updated.

I'm not a tech geek, but I think that I don't know something on the computer. Am I missing something here?

Guys (and girls), please throw in an idea (tooth tell me to check if the connection is good, I don't already).
    Thank you

    Hey,.

If you connect your laptop to external monitor and press the FN + F5 key combination what happens exactly? Pressing the FN + F5 key combination shows different options and you should test with external monitor only (not the clone image). If you work on external monitor doesn't do this work?

In addition, you must connect the devices before starting their.

Also, take a look in the BIOS and try to load the default settings. Make sure that that the HDMI cable is connected before starting Windows and check the status again.

By the way: what operating system are you using exactly?

  • Random HP 2311 x 23 "LCD Monitor

I bought a HP 2311 x 23 "LCD monitor from Best Buy, 11/25/11 but I did have problems with it until the last two days. For the last four days (17/12/11 - 12/21/11), I noticed that whenever I'm playing some games, the monitor will go black for a few seconds and then the display will return to normal (display of the game without any changes at all whatsoever) except the Status window Monitor HP will show for a seconds then disappear. In this case, the power button on the lower left side of the monitor, which is usually blue, yellow signal for a while before returning to his standard blue color.  This will occur at random times and twice now, he'll do it again and again for literally a whole minute before it stops. I noticed that this specific event stops happens if I stop playing certain games, which include Shogun 2 and Batman: Arkham City. Once I have stop playing the game, the event is will produce prevalence up to the stop with less and less together, but the moment I start playing Shogun 2 or Batman: Arkham city, the event will happen 5 minutes in the game.

I noticed the problem just after I've updated my card driver 285.79 GFX driver Beta International Bureau Win7 64-bit (update for 11/13/11) to 285.62 Office Win7 64 bit driver (update for 11/14/11). I also tried to update my driver to the most recent driver beta for my GFX card, 290.36 driver Beta International Bureau Win7 64-bit (update for 11/19/11), before returning it back to the 285.62 Office Win7 64-bit driver.

I tried to update my GFX card to the more recent driver, and when that doesn't work, I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the latest driver of GFX card. I did the same thing with my driver software monitor as well as with no luck. I even tried resetting the monitor to factory settings, unplug then re - connect the power to the monitor and unplug then re plugged cable DVI, provided by HP, between my GFX card and the monitor. I have not tried to use the VGA cable provided by HP yet but I will soon if I can't find a solution to this problem.

I don't know if it's a question of monitor or GFX card problem, so I need help to know what the problem is.

    Product name:

    HP 2311 x 23 "LCD Monitor

    Product #:

    XP598A

    System Operatying:

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

    Specifications of the computer:

    Motherboard ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB 4 AMD

    CPU AMD Phenom II X 6 1075 (6 CPUs), ~3.0GHz

    Corsair XMS3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (monitor connected via DVI ports, without adapters)

    Update:

Too bad, this is not the graphics card at all. Me and my dad removed my GFX card and used the card integrated GFX motherboard with this updated GFX drivers - the same problem occurred. So we plugged my computer to a different monitor, test both motherboard integrated GFX card and the card GTX 460 individually, with all the new GFX update drivers and it works perfectly. We even checked the cables using them on the computer of my father, which works perfectly well, and nothing was wrong with them. I intend to return my monitor to Best Buy to sell a defective product. The best guess my father had was that the monitor has a faulty sleep function or a manufactured in-house when mishap. I appreciate the help and support of Frank.

  • Tecra Z50 - need to connect two external monitors

I think to buy Tecra Z50, but one of the features that I need is the ability to connect two external monitors.

Is it possible to have a monitor connected to the HDMI and a VGA (with computer laptop lid closed)?

    * Hi-speed III Port Replicator is not an option, because it is not available in my country (Croatia).

    Hello

I don t think you will be able to connect two external monitors to this laptop using HDMI and RGB port at the same time because of different types of signals.

The RGB/VGA port supports analog signal.

The HDMI port provides the digital video output and when the external monitor is connected to the HDMI port the device is set to HDMI.

    > * Hi-speed III port replicator is not an option because it is not available in my country (Croatia).
What of the Dynadock? Its an external device connected to the s for computer laptop USB port.
It supports own graphic unit and you can connect to another external monitor such Dynadock 2nd.
