  I have an existing Flash CS3 file that makes up the result to http://www.infusion-set.com/Flash/eLearning/Inset30/inset30_eguide.html .

  The customer asked if I could add an extra tab at the top after that 'group' called 'Contact us' with link to an additional page. The design was done in ActionScript 2 with references to XML files for dynamic content because it has been done in other languages.

  I modified the XML file with the correct references to a new page and a .swf file that accompanies it to play in the field of animation.

  I tried a .fla version where I duplicated one of the existing tabs script, changed the XML references and changed the variables if necessary to "con or"Con"(which is to reach us). Unfortunately, he made the menu tab go completely off the page and was patently false in some way.

  Can someone give me a clue as to what to change here on the original file that I am a novice with ActionScripts, so ask me.

  The buttons are all created using the same library object (but MC), except for the code you have in the revised file does not call on it for the con button.

  You calling on something with a name of 'con' link, which tells me that a quick check is not - then it is undefined in the code when you try to use it.  I found this by using trace (newConBut._x); After its _x value was assigned, as I said, you should try.   So the first thing you want to do is to change the following line from...

  var newConBut = _root.attachMovie ("but", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth ());

  so that it uses the but MC who is used to this end in the library.  So, you want to correct the assignment _x of the buttons and I think that you had previously...

  Except there is a problem. With this script, the first marker makes the first row show, the second marker makes the first row disappear and the third marker makes the second line display. (etc.)

  It is editable so that the first marker would do the first line show, the second marker would do the second line show (etc...) As I do not need the subtitles 'empty' in this case.

  If you are unsure how to do this, you can also replace if ((i % 2) == 0) if (false)

• Can someone help me to edit a SWF file fully functional to behave slightly differently?

  I have a SWF file of work I used a free decompiler to join the ActionScript code of.  I don't know Actionscript, but I know enough other languages to have a vague knowledge of what continues.  I don't know if it's Actionscript 1, 2 or 3 honestly so I just posted here.  The main thing I need to understand is the order in which the code is run in Actionscript.  What I'm trying to do, is make a telnet applet which initializes with a connect button giant simply connect by default during initialization, and then if the connection is lost of disconnected function as usual and show the button connect again.  I believe that this should quite simply be a change just move a few lines of code around, I just do not have a good understanding of ActionScript.  If someone out there is willing to work on this with me, you will thank greatly, or even a brief explanation anyone can provide as to what I want to look into. It looks like java, but I just don't know too much to try to attack blindly.

  (a) what version of Windows 7 use you?

  (b) what is the exact error message you are getting?

  Method 1: You can also try to perform a file system (scan SFC) verification tool. This tool will fix the system files are corrupted.

  Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

  1. click on the Start button

  2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

  3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

  5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

  6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

  7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

  8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

  9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

  10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

  11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  Method 2: If this is a recent problem that has developed you can try to perform a system restore and check if it works very well.

  To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

  Method 3: you can try to start safe mode and restore the system, if you are unable to do it in normal mode.
