Can't download or send since updated to 31.0 TB

As soon as updated Thunderbird updated to 31.0, I can't send or receive.
When I click on 'Get the Messages', the status bar displays "Stan: connection to the e-mail...". ", and then" Stan: connected to the mail... ". ", which remains without downloading the messages until TB is running.

In addition, it does not ask the master password since it updated itself, but the problem above persists even if I remove the MP.

It is on a Win 8.1 System. I use TB for several years and have never had any problems like this.

If I can't solve this problem, is it OK to install Thunderbird 30.0 top?

I managed to do the work. I took another look at the bug report mentioned above, as well as this post on the forum here.

I would like to try something with the certificate, it wouldn't work I'd install TB 30.0b1 on my 31.0 worm and it works perfectly. I read or think of something else to try and put 31.0 back, only to have everything I would try not to work. The last thing I tried was to remove all the certificates for this account. (In fact, I exported the certs first if I could put back them.)

Until next time, I restarted the computer. I opened TB and clicked on "Get Mail", and the Add Security Exception window appeared. When I clicked to confirm, he invited me to the master password, and it worked! Then, I checked to make sure, he ran 31.0 and it was.

The same bit that happened when I went to send a message. The Add Security Exception window skipped upward for the smtp server, I approved and the message is out!

This seems to have solved the problem.

    Thanks for your help.  Unfortunately no idea worked.  Windows Installer 4.5 is not good for Windows 7.  However, I was able to restore my computer to an earlier date and the previous itunes was there.  It still would not allow me to access without security clearance, but I finally understood how to afford access - I am the administrator and the only user - go figure!

    • Restarted the server vCenter a couple of times
