Can we do the task from physical layer to the MUDE

Hello

Can we join tasks such as create alias, physical layer made with Dims in environment of MUDE. Because MÜDE is based on projects. Projects are created to layer MDB.

Thus, when we check the project to the MUDE, can you see the tables imported into the physical layer, but not of joints between them and still make layer MDB?

MÜDE means for the development of BMM layer and presentation only
?
Thank you

Please check - select them any project - connect on join env - table new import - extraction to the existing fact table. (or) Import all new fact and dimension tables and create a new datamodel in the physical layer.

If you can do above steps means that you want to join the tables in the physical layer.
When you create projects? Discover version or müde offline environment (in general, you need this)

  • How to add an array of stand-alone physical layer to the Business Model

    Hello

I have tables from 2 different database sources in my physical layer.

My business model is currently using only the tables of a database. My second database in the physical layer, I don't need a single table and who will be an array of stand alone, to my presentation layer.

    1. must you go through my business layer or can it be added directly to the presentation layer. What are the steps?
    2. can I restrict permissions on this table stand alone to the administrator?

    Thank you.

    (1) create a view with a single column using sql (select 1 of the double) in the physical layer and attach it to the table using a complex join in the physical layer (1 = 1).
A movement that set the column as a key in the physical layer and mdb to MDB.

    (2) you can restrict access to the presentation layer of table
Double-click the table of presentation-> Permission-> here layer, you can restrict access by user or group

    Thank you

  • In the physical layer star schema

Recently, I came across a question from a colleague. The discussion continues as follows:
He asked me what is the star schema, and where you can set? Physical layer or layer MDB?
I've explained on the star schema and responded to his rest of the doubt that we define it in the layer of MDB.
His immediate question is why can not we define it in the physical layer? Since MDB layer allows to build three-dimensional models, therefore, we must build it into this layer itself is my answer. But later in the evening, when I started to reflect on my way to the House, I started to think about his doubts.
Here is what am curious that we can unite our physical layer tables too, why we can't define star in the physical layer? and why only in MDB? and what are the differences in the joints that we made in the physical layer as the layer MDB?
I got tired of getting answers to these documents and in a few other online resources, but am not to succeed. Then, approach this forum in anticipation. Can anyof you help us to better understand these concepts.

Yes, you need to (or is at least strongly recommended) to use complex joins in the MDB layer. I know that you can also use physical layers in the layer MDB, but I don't really know what happens when you do that and what are the consequences. I think I read once your knuckles are 'fixed' and the BI server is not to choose between the joints.

So the idea is: set the 'true' joined in the physical layer using physical joints and define complex joins in MDB layer and let the BI server decide what physical join, it should use.

I had some freezing problems earlier this month, and on the notice here, I nu start-up and reduced services a little at a time.
Now, I have a few more crash but don't know if it's a physical disk problem.

For example... I have run CHKDSK and does many things and happens at the exact same spot and hangs at step 4 file 5 3498 or 421168 processed.

I tried to run CHKDSK in SafeMode but tells me drive is locked and it will run when I restart. But the restart put back me in normal mode and get the same hang.

Now, for more suspicion of a physical problem. I tried to make a disk image with ACronis and same problem occurs because he says impossible to reading data 226 964, 072 sector and ask if I want to ignore and continue. I say yes to everything. Log shows he made about three of these attempts and crashes.

  • I wiped and recovered from my CD of my operating system to windows XP due to a virus, now my system XP is SP1 (version 2002) and needs to upgrade, how can I get the old updates please?

I am operating windows XP, but it is more difficult to download anything, I can only assume its because my system recovery disk brought me originally pack 1 and missing essential items in my system which is used to enable automatic updates to work to get my system back to normal.

    Preliminary work:

Download the installation files of SP3, IE8 and Microsoft Security Essentials, which is an effective antivirus/antimalware program. I prefer to keep these (and other useful files) on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/security-essentials (for MMS)

    1. physically disconnect from the Internet. Also unplug all unnecessary devices!

    2. temporarily disable the automatic updates. To do this:

Start | Control Panel (switch to Classic view if not already selected). Automatic updates

Select "Turn off automatic updates" and click OK.

    3. install the SP3. Restart TWICE.

    4. switch to IE8. Restart TWICE. (Note: it is important to let IE at the level before the upgrade to SP3 IE6.) After you are in SP3, then you can switch IE6 to IE8).

    5 install MSE.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

    6. make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should already be):

Start | Control Panel | Security Center

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet. Update Antivirus program.)

    7. visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates. Restart each time you are prompted.

    8. reactivate the automatic updates.

  • Need help to replace a physically C drive on several computer disks. I can't LOOSE the data on the secondary drive.

I got 2 hard drives, a small disc with XP Pro and a big drive for storage and memory intensive programs. The disc is dead - physically (he's grinding wheels), not because of software problems. I managed to boot from the XP disk and copied as much as possible on an external drive to install on a new hard drive. Externally will not take the backup file. After that I restarted depui the XP disc, my secondary drive is no longer recognized. I copy the contents of the C drive on an external drive. Here are my questions:
    1. can I ghost the info on a new hard drive and skip the installation? Reason I have CS3 on drive F, but it components installed on the C drive (where CS2 was before I upgraded). I do not have my Adobe CS3 here records because it allowed multi, and my records are currently out of State with the other licensee.
    2. If I install the new disk, starting from the old drive with XP disc, can I ghost? (I have a tour customized for several readers) When I started the drive C before - he tried to install on my F drive. I have not installed (I can't lose the files on drive F), and now the computer does not recognize the drive. I bought a Seagate drive and they have great software for installation - so I'd like to ghost it. The XP disk reduced to nothing the new drive hard as he did the F drive?
and finally, question 3. When the new drive, I get up and running, can I sign out the F drive, plug it back and Windows will see it? CS3 & Quark will still work if I have to do a fresh install?

    Hi jdohugh,

Thanks for posting. If I read your post correctly your hard drive with your operating system on it died, so you lost your operating system and do not have to reinstall but you try to get down the important data before the reinstall.

1 Q: can I ghost the info on a new hard drive and skip the installation? Reason I have CS3 on drive F, but it components installed on the C drive (where CS2 was before I upgraded). I do not have my Adobe CS3 here records because it allowed multi, and my records are currently out of State with the other licensee.

    A. Si your drive with your operating system does not work, I do not think you can ghost it and reinstall as the image would not work. With Adobe CS3 disks, you will need to contact Adobe and get them to perform the installation of additional supports. Simply copy the files likely will not work to reisntall the application.

    2. Q. If I install the new disk, starting from the old drive with XP disc, can I ghost? (I have a tour customized for several readers) When I started the drive C before - he tried to install on my F drive. I have not installed (I can't lose the files on drive F), and now the computer does not recognize the drive. A: as I said in question 1 if your operating system drive does not an image would most likely fail or be corrupt. If read correctly the other part of the question you the system tried to start installation on your f:\ that matches your drive program and now you cannot access the files on it? With the last part of this question, you will need to contact Seagate to see what makes their software, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by using.

    3. Q. When the new drive, I get up and running, can I sign out the F drive, plug it back and Windows will see it? CS3 & Quark will still work if I have to do a fresh install?

    A. Si you reconnect an extra drive to XP, the operating system should see it regardless of what it was connected to previously. With regard to your programs, if it is a new operating system you load then Yes, you will need to reinstall these applications on the operating system, and they should work with no problems provided that the drive is working correctly.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Can not find the task in the Task Scheduler

I created a fundamental task to connect to an ad - hoc network whenever I boot my laptop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit.  I don't want that to happen and I deleted the network tries to delete the task.  When I open the Task Scheduler, I don't see my task listed.  I made sure 'show hidden tasks '.  I know that the task runs as I continue to receive errors not being to find the ad hoc network.

I created a new task of fundamental task, called 'test' starts just the calc program and it shows in the list of tasks.

    Any help?

As others have found, if you change the name of your computer, scheduled tasks that have been associated with a specific user account (like the logon trigger, such as the credentials for the job and so forth) will no longer appear in the list of scheduled tasks. Scheduled tasks displays the message "an error has occurred for task xxxx. Error message: the specified account name is not valid. "The same thing happens if you delete a user account that is named in a scheduled task.

The reason for the problem is that the computer name part of the account name (for example, "mycomputer\myaccount"), and so if a part of the name is not valid, the associated account is no longer recognized. Unfortunately, given that the scheduled tasks will not display the task entry broken, you cannot fix it directly.

The tasks themselves are defined in XML files in plain text stored in \windows\system32\tasks. The files have the same name as their entries in scheduled tasks.

If a task is not desired, you can simply delete the corresponding file from \windows\system32\tasks.

If you want to restore a task, you must change the computer name and/or account name everywhere wherever he is in the job file. But, you can just edit the file in place to solve the problem. Scheduled task detects that the file has been modified externally and even once will not use or display.

I managed to solve the problem by following these steps:

    1. Move the file to the task entry broken of the \windows\system32\tasks in another case. You want to move it, copy it not - file must be put out \windows\system32\tasks. You can do this by using Windows Explorer or move the command in a command prompt window.
    2. Using Notepad, open the file in its new location. Set the name of the computer or the name of the account as it happens and save the file. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all other tasks of problem.
    3. Open scheduled tasks, or select the menu Action, refresh. It should be no error message now, given that the task of the problem has been removed.
    4. On the Action menu, use the import command to locate the edited file. This will restore the scheduled task.
    5. Test the restored task by opening and then run. Once everything works, you can remove older versions of the file task as you had moved it. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any other task edited file.

When I open "Select icons and notifications appear in the task bar" one of the things it lists is "GLBD565.tmp" which seems to be left by the installation of a software product.  The icon is not active and I doubt if it still exists, but it appears in the list.  That list is maintained and how to remove the dead of her spots?

The entries to Customize Notifications cannot be removed selectively. You can, however, clear the set lists by using the following registry change.
