  Hi all
  
  I need to write a statement of up to DATE using the date of business rule. In general, the due date is 30 days from the date of payment. If the due date falls on a Saturday or Sunday then the term of the loan is 32 days.
  I know that to test a day of week, I would need to use the function to_char in Oracle with the format of a '. I did some research and found that to test what the week falls on November 12, 2007, I would need to use the expression to_char('12-NOV-2007','D'). This function returns a number between 1 and 7. 1 represents Sunday, 2 Monday,..., 7 Saturday.
  
  What I really would need to do, is to write a single UPDATE statement using an expression with the Decode function and to_Char function:
  UPDATE book_trans SET due_dte = expression
  
  These are operations that will need to be updated:
  ISBN 0-07-225790-3 retrieved on November 15, 2007 per employee 101 (book_trans_id = 1)
  ISBN 0-07-225790-3 retrieved on November 12, 2007 by employee 151 (book_trans_id = 2)
  ISBN 0-201-69471-9 retrieved on 14 November 2007 by employee 175 (book_trans_id = 3)
  ISBN 0-12-369379-9 checked on November 16, 2007 by employee 201(book_trans_id=4)
  
  Manually, I calculated the maturity dte and writes the update to each book_trans_id statement:
  
  UPDATE book_trans SET due_dte is 17-dec-07' WHERE book_trans_id = 1;.
  UPDATE book_trans SET due_dte is 12-dec-07' WHERE book_trans_id = 2;.
  UPDATE book_trans SET due_dte is 14-dec-07' WHERE book_trans_id = 3;.
  UPDATE book_trans SET due_dte is 18-dec-07' WHERE book_trans_id = 4;.
  
  As you can see, it is very heavy and I just want to know how to integrate everything into a single Update statement:
  UPDATE book_trans SET due_dte = expression
  So if a due date falls on Saturday or Sunday, the loan period 32 days; day of week, length of the loan is 30 days.

  If you want to get more space, you can use the cleaning disc and free up space in your hard drive.

  You can run disk defragnment to solve your problem to fragnmentation.

  As John said, the easiest thing is just to disable the functionality of substitution of variables, saying:

  SET DEFINE OFF

  before the statement.  If you need to re - enable this feature, then tell

  ALL SET ON

  just after the statement.

  If you can't do that, then break the literal string in 2 parts immediately after the & character, like this:

  UPDATE Phone_num

  DESCRIPTION SET = "Beta - EMV / not for the purpose of Production."

  WHERE DIAL_NUMBER = 18662307528

  AND DESCRIPTION = ' to &'. | "VERIZON";

  You can't have a substitution variable whose name starts by ', then SQL ("more does not interpret &" as meaning a substituton variable.)

  If you want to make the file smaller, try file > save for Web as a jpg file and explore the options.

  If you take a look at the documentation for creating a sequence, you will see that the maximum value is 10 ^ 27, assuming that you do not specify a maximum. If you have generated 10.000.000.000 (10 ^ 10) sequence values every second, you don't miss in 10 ^ 17 seconds which is about 3 * 10 ^ 9 years (3,168,808,781 or 3 billion years). The Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years if your sequence would not run out of values for about half the current age of the Earth. For most systems, it's a lot.

  Hi, I have MS SQL background and I try to execute an update statement in Oracle with joins of tables. However, the syntax below does not work but I think it works for MS SQL.
  
  Basically, the base table must be attached to a master table trend with monthly snapshots, an account will be only an entry for a given date monthly. Where clause must be limited to accounts within a certain range of interest rates.
  
  The first approach returns command SQL ORA-00933 not correctly completed, and the second approach returns ORA-01427 row below query returns multiple rows. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

• I support a very large school district running Firefox 3.6. What will happen at the end of life date? In the online environment, we test this week.

  I run the test center for a very large school district with over 120 students of k. We have a current deployed at base of 54 client machines of k using Firefox 3.6. We have not upgraded for many reasons, of which the most important is to remove the possibility of use in navigation private students and dealing with plugin-updates for the digital non-born (read dumber than a bag of hammers users) that make up the majority of the customer base.

  We test ESR now, but only discovered this end of life for 3.6 is tomorrow, 4/24. We are currently in the middle of the scale of the State of online tests. The question is, what will happen tomorrow, when the browser will end of life. ESR wiki mentions that "an update to the current version of Firefox Desktop will be available through the Update Service Application"

  So the main question is, are my students/teachers goes to get a popup telling them that they have updated the browser if we have already turned off updates? If so, can I I disable remote using SCCM, because there will be all sorts of havoc.
