Cannot create pdf files
I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit pre-installed. I installed Acrobat 8.0 Standard program and performed all of the updates for windows and acrobat and everything worked fine. I could create PDFs both the links and the adobe pdf printer in Office 2007 and IE8. 3 months later, I had to do a factory restore on your computer because of an unrelated issue. When I reinstalled Acrobat 8, I lost all the features of pdf create. When I print to the pdf printer, it shows it in the queue and then disappears without creating anything. When I use Office 2007, create links, it hangs on "pdf creation". When I click on links in IE8, nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated.
Upgrade to Acrobat 9. Acrobat 8 is not supported on 64-bit Windows 7.

I ran acrobat 8 Professional on Windows 7 64 bit. I can only create PDF files when you are logged on as administrator. The system locks just after adobe promts me to the name of the file, I provided file name, click on save and it crashes when displaying the "" print message "»
Any ideas?

PDF print printer. Changed my color toners & now cannot print PDF files.
I have a printer HP LaserJet CP1525nw color less than a year. Have always been able to print PDF files. Changed my color toners & now cannot print PDF files. When I use the print icon, I have an option "save under" file. Makes no difference if I save file or not, it doesn't print not (or place in the queue of the printer). If I try to print the saved file, it does still not print. I have not changed (knowingly) all my printer options. H E L P!

Hi all
I'm working on a Server 2008 domain with XP SP3 clients. The question is: create a new user, their profile is \\server\profiles\%username% [where %nom user % is their new username!]. Security on the profile folder is set so that the administrators have full access and the user has read & execute, list folder content, read and write access.
The user is able to login ok there is no problem with roaming profiles [otherwise, they would get a message on with a temporary profile loading] which suggests, but when they disconnect they get a message saying that some files could not be created [it varies], followed by "cannot create a file when that file already exists".
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello
Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the Windows server on TechNet forum. Please ask your question in the Forums in TechNet Windows Server.

ORA-19504: cannot create the file '+ DATA '.
Hello everyone.
This is the scenario:
We have a test server that is used to restore daily backups of the Production database. Restore us the database with the same SID as the production one.
For specific reasons, we need create a second database (with a different SID) on this server with an older backup from the production one. To realize that I'm trying to use a part of the "DUPLICATE without connection to the target" tutorials on the web.
I tried the simple guide that I found which is:
(1) copy the backup files cold /somedirectory
(2) start OLD database with nomount
(3) connect RMAN with OLDER as an auxiliary
(4) run the following: DUPLICATE DATABASE FOR OLD BACKUP LOCATION ' / somedirectory' NOFILENAMECHECK.
Here's the result (I deleted some lines because of the size of it):
----------------------
RMAN > ProdDB to OlderDB DUPLICATE DATABASE
2 > LOCATION of BACKUP "/ home/oracle/OlderBackupFiles.
3 > NOFILENAMECHECK.

The first mistake of the stack was ORA-19504 while trying to restore the backup of the database.
First thing I took a glance was ASM occupation but it enough available space.
The second was a permission problem, but it doesn't seem to be the case because RMAN can correctly write the controlfile to ASM.
One have some advice on what I should look for?
Thanks in advance sorry for my English.
Select this option.
Hello.
Thanks, but is not the case. As I have said, that the DATA diskgroup has space enough he uses only a single disk in a RAID.
But I solved my problem... To the auxiliary database, I added the following to the spfile:
DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT = '+ DATA/ProdDB', '+ DATA/OlderDB ".
LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT = '+ DATA/ProdDB', '+ DATA/OlderDB ".
I don't know why, but with these two clauses, it worked well. Perhaps RMAN was trying to restore it to the wrong place?

Cannot open pdf files. Acrobat 10
Cannot open pdf files. "Acrobat cannot send a DDE command '.
Thank you John. The problem has been resolved. I'm sure this has to do with changes of microsoft with one of their updates since I subscribe to Office 365. Somehow my Acrobat version 10 a program started working again after a week of being disabled. I use windows 8.1 and dread of having to go through windows 10 soon.

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, updated and Microsoft Office 365 with the 2016 desktop application. I'm just trying to follow the tutorial of how to create PDF files and it does not simply show any file that can be opened in the area "opens". I checked, and "All supported formats" is selected. Can I created the good desktop application .pdf files. The guy in the video, learn how to create pdf files seems to open MO files without problem in this box. I use the function 'repair installation' program of the DC MAP and nothing has changed. There is no new update to install. What is going on? Help, please
Hello
Acrobat DC does not currently support Office 2016.
Is expected to be available with the update in October.

Cannot create .vswp file to Virtual SAN: CPP to DOM returned Out of Memory
Hey all,.
In my virtual home existing SAN lab, I meet an interesting problem. When I try to turn some of my virtual machines now use the VSAN, vCenter present with the following error, even if the data store is online and running virtual machine workload. Restart the server vCenter (not on the virtual SAN) has no impact on the problem. I have also noticed I can't reconfigure the virtual machines as well and cannot vMotion; the operation times out. It's all the same problem.
The VMkernel.log indicates the following interesting bit:

My next step was going to try to restart the hosts, but I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this or if there was a method to establish the first case before nuking the question, since, if it were production would take us actually a failure. All virtual machines running on the vsanDatastore are fine and all the capabilities of storage and tickboxes are green in the web client. I wonder if there may be a memory leak or something else. Uptime for these hosts is 55 days, running on the beta update VSAN. Thank you all!
I restarted all hosts today and they all started right up. Will do the upgrade code of GA and see if the problem repeats. Thank you all!

How can I determine if a created PDF file has been encrypted in a unix or linux box
I'm not sure if execution of the command file on my box will tell me if a given created PDF file is encrypted and with what level of encryption. Is there a way to determine if the file is encrypted by using the Unix/Linux tools after the fact?
Thank you
Sam
It is assumed that you want to do this in UNIX command line / Shell / Terminal. There is a way that you could do that and that is to 'rolling' and build the tool with the Adobe PDF Library SDK. Datalogics, which is an Adobe partner has a port of UNIX for the Adobe PDF Library SDK which could be used to create a tool that does this for you, but there is a very big opposition involved in the price structure for the Adobe's PDF library.
