• Cannot generate the main provision in RoboHelp HTML X 5

  Several years ago, I had created a project using RoboInfo Publisher 5.  It's a fairly broad knowledge base with several folders, themes and a decent index.  When I switched computers recently I have tried to reinstall RoboInfo 5, to see that I could not activate it.  When I called Adobe support, it gave me an installer for RoboHelp X 5 as RoboInfo was is no longer supported.

  Now, when you try to update my existing project to RoboHelp HTML X 5, I find the menu selection to generate primary layout page is grayed out.  I can create a new project and publish it without problem, but I can't get my existing to publish.  After some research, I deleted the CPD file and reopen the project.  The first time I open it, after that the index is re-created, I can select in the menu generate main layout, but nothing comes.  If I close and reopen the app, the menu selection is grayed out again.

  Any thoughts?

  EPUB 3 output generation failed.

  Internal error occur, could not generate the eBook.

  Could someone give me advice on what to do to fix? What have I done? I tried to install Adobe digs Eds 4 and it seems stop working after that, but I tried to uninstall that and it is always the same. I also tried to reinstall TCS5. Reactive out of HTML5 still works ok.

  It could be a longshot, but try to move the project to a place where the path is shorter. I had a similar problem (I think I got the same error a few months ago, but I can't be 100% certain), where the epub was not able to generate, and I tried to move my project to another location where the path to the files was shorter. This solves the problem for me.

• Cannot generate the schema help

  Hi all
  I am facing a problem, try to generate a WebHelp primary schema, when I click on the "Main Layout View" buttons or "generate primary Layout." nothing happens. I use RoboHelp 7 with MS Office Word 2007.
  I'm working on 2 projects, and what happens in one project only, so I think it's perhaps something in the file format!
  I also noticed that when I click button 'save' and then try to close the word document, an apears confirmation message that I have to save first, when I click on save and try to close the file word; the confirmation message appears once again, the only action that allows me to close the file is click 'No' to the backup dialog box.

  There is a thread where a few Adobe RoboHelp for Word 7 users have reported that they cannot save the changes or generate output. The issue has been isolated to the RHComAdd.DLL be disabled.

  What to look for in Word

  -For versions 2003, go to help | Everything | Disabled items. If RHComAdd.DLL display, re - enable.

  -For Word 2007, click on Office button | Resources | Everything | Macros complementary. Under 'Manage', select disabled items. If RHComAdd.DLL display, re - enable.

• Cannot generate the thumbnail on all widgets (including integrated)

  My installation of Muse (2014.2, OSX Mavericks) gives me a "cannot generate the thumbnail" error one no matter what widget I place (including built-in ones, my own and those that I downloaded from the site of Muse documentation on github).

  So far, I have tried many things including restart Muse, reboot the machine, turn off all browsers in the background, but I can not change this behavior.

  This problem is specific to the machine, I'm getting because the same site on the exact version on another machine (os x mavericks) does not give me this behavior.

  Any help is appreciated.

  Solved. While this problem appeared machine related, it wasn't - it turns out that I had added a js file in my page header that was missing.

  So, the moral of this story is that if you do not see the "unable to generate thumbnail error", look at all the custom HTML you added to the site. Errors in the HTML elements may appear in the wrong place.

• RoboHelp X5.0.2 9.0.1 project conversion - generate a main layout does not do anything

  Our company uses RoboHelp X5.0.2 for many years and I'm quite familiar with it. We are considering the upgrade to version 9.0.1 soon so I assess the 30 day trial.

  My old projects all the loading fine in version 9.0.1 and the GUI is quite familiar to me. However, when I select ' generate primary Layout ', nothing happens! Normally in X5.0.2 in the output window, I see something like this:

  Compression file down to 93 198 bytes.

  Finished compiling HTMLHELP in 4 seconds

  But I don't see anything in the 9.0.1 release window.

  If I generate a lot I see:

  Lot generating the 'MMEA Layout' layout...

  Lot generating the layout "normal page layout...

  Lot generating the layout 'WebHelp '...

  etc... but I see no output file-, I don't see any new CHM file anywhere on my hard drive.

  The trial version does not CHM files? Or y at - it something different I have to do? The output window does not seem very useful in version 9.0.1, so I'm at a loss to understand what prevents it to create any output. Y at - it everywhere else, I can't check in the application to see what prevents the generated output?

  It seems that WebHelp has been set as your "primary" layout The solution is to change your main layout of "Microsoft HTML Help". You do this by clicking with the right button on the Microsoft HTML Help list in the presentation of single Source module and select 'set as primary Layout.

  The first time that you generate, you will want to double click on the list of Microsoft HTML Help page layout, and then select preferences no matter what you have in the screens that are present. Then click on save and produce. Once you are satisfied with your results, you can then use the main toolbar to "Generate Layout."

• Cannot generate the Word .doc

  100 classic page chm project compiles successfully. You will need to create the document Word for graphic designer do a nice .pdf. Get warnings (style not defined, mapped to normal). Can not find the style not defined in the code, but see some class = msonormal elements. Then, I get error "Word Document became corrupted when you attempt to add a topic malformed". Then, RoboHelp is unable to deal with a subject. Then it has Fatal Error "Word Document got corrupted" and she is abandoned. A little more of these erros and he cannot generate the rest of the Word document.

  I've read some useful discussions here on this issue but I still can not to be able to solve this problem of main points for my OCD.

  I already assured that the reference for all my image in my book files have the same reference table of contents of the page entry page. When I generate my OCD the main points are missing!

  I then, open the reference page for the TOC file and paste in the same entries of table of contents of my other image files and then update the book to regenerate the table of contents.

  Also, this does not solve the problem.

  Any help to fix this would be really appreciated!
