Cannot import photos from iPhone to mac after 9.2 & 10.11.2

A few weeks ago, I could join my iphone to my mac (USB) and iPhoto open, show me the new photos, allow me to import, etc.

After "improvements", nothing happens when I move the iphone.

OK, tell me, maybe Apple finally stopped supporting iphoto.

So I place Photos. Still nothing.

There seems to be no obvious way to import pictures from my iphone to my mac. I guess I could use e-mail, but it's so stupid.

Any help appreciated.

What happens, when you launch iTunes when you attached your iPhone?  Do you see the iPhone in iTunes?

Then unlock the iPhone, if it is still blocked and when prompted, confirm that the iPhone should trust the computer when you are prompted on the iPhone.

  • You use Dropbox?  Then ensure that the preferences in Dropbox are set in a way that Dropbox is unable to access photos on your iPhone when the iPhone is connected.
  • try restarting the iPhone when connected to USB and restart also pictures.

I had problems with importing the photos I have in my ipad to my mac. I have about 2000 photos on the ipad, but only 140 of them appear when I try to import them to the computer. I tried to do in the different computers and also using pictures of google to create a backup of all the photos on the ipad, but the problem persists, only 140 photos are detected. In addition, I noticed that these photos which are not detected cannot be changed unless a duplicate is created.

No idea what could be the problem and how to solve?

  • Cannot transfer photos from iPhone 6s for iMac.

    Configurations:

    OS X EL Capitan - 10.11.4

    Photos App - 1.5 (370.42.0)

    iPhone iOS 6s - 9.3.1

As you can see that I use all the stuff leading up to the most recent software available. I have seen this recently and have tried almost all the possible solutions, provided by apple support as, cable only apple, direct connection to the iMac, iPhone-imac is restarted.

Basically when I try to copy my photos on iMac iPhone connecting to through apple cable and open the photos app in iMac. just as it was before my iPhone will appear in the import section, and from there it would begin loading photos available for importing photos from my iPhone here. But now it starts to load pictures (empty skeletons), but before he can load images iPhone disappears from the photos app, so I'm not able to transfer my photos. I know there are tons so as to move the photos to iMac, but technically it should work too (my favorite and the easiest of all).

    experience tried

    (1) I also tried with the option/alt and start iMac touch; s app photos to create a new library to see if it works this way, no luck.

    (2) the iPhone at the moment appears click on import button photos all without selecting the photos, it starts to copy some but after awhile, it fails with the iPhone in endangered and above screenshot attached failure msg.

are there problems at pictures of mac side app or iPhone app. I keep my stuff to date so not sure when you have this problem started. I suspect it all started when I activated video 4K on my iPhone but not sure than just a speculation.

any kind of suggestion will be useful thanks.

    Hi damdude,

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

I see that your iPhone is not recognized by your iMac or Photos when you try to import images into your photo library. Have you tried several good troubleshooting steps. Because the same thing happens in a new library of Photos, try to import images using Image Capture -Capture of Image: transfer images and other elements of your device.

If the same thing happens with the Image Capture, I recommend trying to import the photos to another computer, as mentioned If you can not import photos from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your computer:

If the same problem occurs on a different computer, restore the device and put it up as a new.

If you need to restore your iPhone, you can save it using iCloud, so you won't lose your latest photos. Another option could backfire on iCloud photo library. For these steps, see How to back up your device using iCloud or iTunes and iCloud FAQ Photo library.

    Sincerely.

  • Problem importing Photos from iPhone

When I download feature import photos from my iPhone to my laptop using the standard Windows, it creates folders separated for all my photos based on the date that they were taken - so I find myself with hundreds of files, some of them containing only a single photo. How can I change the settings so that when I transfer my photos they import it all into one folder?

In the window import pictures and videos, click the device that you want to import pictures and videos to and then click Import.

Then, in option: click more optionsand make the changes you want, and then click OK. Options can include where to save the files and what format to use for the names of folders and files.

If your camera can detect whether you take pictures vertically or horizontally, your PC can automatically rotate JPEG photos to a correct orientation when they are imported. To turn off automatic rotation, clear the photos turn to import over the box.

  • Cannot import photos from an SD card.

We have just returned from holiday and having forgotten our SD card, we have reduced the quality of the image on the camera to 1.2 megapixels so that we could store as many photos as possible of our Kodak Easyshare C180 memory. When we returned, we all copied to the SD card and plugged on the F drive. He transferred four pictures and then gave us a message that the drive needed formatting, but when we tried to format it failed. We ended up formating the card after plugging in the camera and repeating everyhting. Plug the SD card in a second time, that we do not get the prompt to format but just a SD file that once we open both automatically and manually, stops responding. We cannot import, copy manually, or see one of the photos once plug us it into the drive, yet the camera bed map very well. I have a HP new with Windows 7.

    Thank you
    Eric

The following Kodak document indicates that your camera
a 16 MB internal memory and 11 can be used for photos...

I was wondering how many photos you expected to download
    the camera?

What are the dimensions in pixels of the 4 pictures that you have successfully
to download on your hard drive?

(see page: 49-8 Appendix - internal storage capacity)

If you can still see the pictures on the display of the camera...
It may be interesting to try to connect the camera to PC via USB
Cable to see if you can download the photos...

Once you have retrieved the photos... it may be worth trying
format the memory card in the camera.

  • Lightroom cannot import photos from disk hard iMac and extern library

Using the trial version I can't import pictures from the library drive hard iMac and extern. Libraries are gray and do not react. Why? And what to do?

At present there are no plug-in to import the new photo App. If you want your photos to display any edition already made in iPhoto/Aperture/Photos, it is better for export versions to the desktop or create new folders in the Finder. Then import duplicates in Lightroom. You can also include IPTC metadata during the creation of new versions.

  • Cannot import photos from NAS

Try to import using pictures on OS X 10.11. Import of NAS I see 4400 news but the "import selected x" and "import all new items" buttons are grayed. Disc has 200 + GB of free space, iCloud is disabled in the preferences of photos.

    What could be the cause?

    Thank you

    Andreas

Andreas, what happens when you select one of the photos in the 'new items' sections.

The buttons become active then like this?

What is on the NAS?  To import photos or also the photo library?

The NAS could have temporarily disconnected?

A library of Photos on a NAS server is not supported. If the library is there you will need to move to a locally mounted drive.

  • iPhoto will not import pictures from iPhone 5 c after updating iOS 10

    Hi all

After installing iOS on my 5 c 10, iPhoto will not import the photos. It is said that it can not because my iPhone is locked with a password. He does this even when the phone is open, and even though I have my access code is turned off. I use 10.6.8 on a Mac Pro Tour 2006.

Everyone knows about this problem? Can anyone help? Thank you!

    Hi Mark,

I guess it's a problem of compatibility between the leopard to snow & iOS 10 but, as a Test:

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. In the menu that appears, select 'Create Library'

Import pictures into this empty library. The problem is repeated here?
