• CS3 problem install on Macbook Air

  I am tring to install my copy of CS3 on a new Macbook Air with OS X 10.8.2

  I get this error message shortly after the start-up of the plant.

  "The installer has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe customer service.

  I tried to install from the DVD via Air disc. I copied the DVD on a memory stick and tried to install that too much. Same mistake twice.

  I called Adobe support and they said that they could not offer advice that the software was too old. The guy did recommend trying to install under a new user account. Same error again.

  I don't want to have to buy a new version that I don't really need. Someone at - it ideas or advice.

  Stop copying from one computer to the other installation files.  The problems that you are experiencing currently is mainly caused by the use of the Migration Wizard you displayed in the #3 message.

  I recommend that you try the following steps:

  1. Run the uninstall programs that can be viewed in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
  2. Run the CS cleaner tool to check the required files have been deleted - for installation problems CS cleanup tool | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
  3. Relocation of the installation files copied to a USB stick using a computer that has an optical drive.

  If you continue to experience difficulties, then the faster would be to format, run the Migration Wizard only to documents and settings and then reinstall it from the USB.  I've seen users spending hours and days trying to recover from the use of the Migration Assistant or some type of solution to transfer from one computer to the other.  Our function of claim better if they are installed correctly the installer.

  I bought a MacBook Air, which seems to me to be a 2008 model.

  Its installed with Leopard 10.5 which seems to be old and things like iTunes and QuickTime are old and obsolete because Leopard is too old for me to install the latest version.

  I found some USB drives bootable on eBay loaded with the Mavericks , but I noticed in the description that the supported devices are MacBook Air late 2008.

  I don't know whether mine is end of 2008.

  Surely, I can spend Leopard to unlock more features with the software up to date.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Based on MacTracker and the tecniques of El Capitan, the ' MacBookAir2, 1 "MacBook Air (late 2008) model and later version can run software current of El Capitan - if there is enough disk space and memory available.  See the tech for the minimum requirements.

  If you have 10.5, you buy OS X 10.6 Apple and upgrade to it and from there you can move towards more current OS X software.

  My MacBook Air can connect and print via the USB port on my HP Photosmart 3310 printer, but it can not connect via the URL on the wired home network. The printer is connected to our home network and works perfectly with several other PCs, wired and wireless.   I got it fixed with a personal link gave to someone else with the same problem. The link was problematic... I had to use it 3 times... but finally I found the download for version 15.0 on my computer and finally I installed it and finally things work again. The problem seems to be related to having to find the version 15.0. Nevermind, I lost two days trying to do what should be a simple update.

• Install on MacBook Air - DVD player not recognized

  Strange problem.

  Just picked up my MacBook Air today and went to install VMWare Fusion.  Plugged in an optical dvd/cd drive and it is recognized by OSX - the disc appears on the desktop and I can navigate it very well.

  I launch Fusion and he sees not the drive - no button continue unless I keep the DVD player.  The second screen does not see the CD/DVD.

  What I am doing wrong?  Seems if OSX saw the disc, it would be the merge.  It's a serious iso on a DVD of MSDN Windows 7 x 64.

  Going along for an hour trying to understand this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  HM, test this point, I expected it to work, but in my results, I was not able to make reognized on my MacBook Air.

  I tested and then on one of our test machines (which is a bit outdated, running 10.6.5 and missing the update of the firmware to 2.0 EFI) and it worked.

  We have improved this test to 10.6.6 machine and it no longer works.

  So it seems that Apple has changed something, and who broke our EasyInstall to physical DVD drive detection.

  Therefore, you can create a disk image using disk utility and install using that for now until we work with Apple in order to understand who has bug is.

  I understand that you are able to print from your Mac, but can't analyze. Please follow the following steps and let me know the results.

  We will reset the printing system, repair disk permissions, add the printer using the driver and try to start a new search.

  Are you really trying to use Pages to edit a PDF file?  I don't think that it was still possible.  Why wouldn't all just send the Pages file instead of the PDF of the iMac?

  Where did you buy? If you ended up with the version of Windows, you will have to exchange it. Contact support sales web chat or telephone, assuming that you purchased directly from Adobe. Otehrwise get in touch with your dealer.

  When I run the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 10, he told me that I am currently running version 10586 and the latest version is 14393. (from August 03-2016). After I click 'Update Now' to start, I get the following message:

  Updated the Intel driver from the Intel site and still the same, cannot continue the update of the anniversary. Hope that someone has any ideas on how to solve this problem. Thank you very much in advance.

  The Boot Camp Assistant must download the right drivers for your computer, then offer to put them on a CD or USB device to external storage. These drivers are designed for use with Windows 7. Drivers Windows XP, and Windows Vista are not supported for these computers.
