Cannot open the application

I have an application which was to play with yesterday, and now I can't open it. I can run the application and get the connection of the screen and get reports with interactive but cannot access the page of the application. I have created a new app and when I hit the Create button to create the application I get an http error. Then I click the Cancel button, the application I'm trying just to create listed in the application Configurator. But when I click on the name of the application I get an http error "the Web page is not found HTTP 404". I have I screwed up now?

I was getting this error too. It was a bug that has been fixed, but here's a workaround solution that you can try:

Connect as sys and run ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL;

I got to the point where I had to create a procedure such as SYS and give the rights to my users to run it if necessary:

create or replace
PROCEDURE FIX404(x NUMBER)
is
  v_x      NUMBER   := x;
  v_sql    VARCHAR2(200);
BEGIN
  v_sql   := 'ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL';
  EXECUTE IMMEDIATE v_sql;
END;

After you create the procedure, grant permissions to the user of the APEX. Then create a button and a PL/SQL procedure that triggers the button.

    Try a reboot.

    Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

    Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

    Isolate a problem by using a different user account

    If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • I may have inadvertently downloaded Firefox 5 instead of 4 and cannot open the application because it is not supported. Can I still download Firefox 4, which I was planning to do?

    I tried to update to Firefox 3 Firefox 4. But, after completing the download and then tried to open the Firefox application, I got a message saying: "Cannot open the application"Firefox"because it is not supported on this architecture." Is it possible that I may have inadvertently downloaded Firefox 5? I do not think that my system support
    Firefox 5. I'm not a geek, so I really appreciated any help you can give me. Thank you.

    For a non-official Firefox 4 compatible version (TenFourFox) which works on Mac PowerPC with OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8, you can consult:

  • El Capitan: Cannot open the application "app name" because it may be damaged or incomplete

    Came across this several times. After you initially upgrade to El Capitan 10.11.2, after logging into my main account (admin), I was not able to open applications and received the following error:

    "Cannot open the application name"app"because it may be damaged or incomplete."

    I couldn't open "Activity Monitor", "System Preferences", "Finder" or anything (provided, App Store or other system). The icons will revert to the default application icon. Other users have no problem with the same apps.

    After the panic, I found a solution: go to another admin account, delete the old user account, and then add it again. This version corrects the problem of this user; It apparently rebuilt the user for that user identity information, while leaving their home folder (and preferences, documents, key rings, etc.) only. iCloud information must be re-entered, but it is trivial. Once the user delete and add, I was able to run these applications.

    When I upgraded to 10.11.3, it is the same thing, but to 3 accounts. I managed to solve this problem through the guest account - that is, I was still able to authenticate as an administrator, but I could not open a session and run anything.

    El Capitan removed permissions repair; I think it can be done in the recovery console, but I shouldn't do that.

    No idea why this continues to be?

    Generally to searching for the above error message is specific to applications from the App Store or other, not about things like "Activity Monitor" and "System Preferences."

  • Cannot open the application "iTunes" because another user is open.

    I recently bought a new computer with vista. Installed iTunes on this computer and found that there is a problem between the two profiles on the computer. I run iTunes on my profile - but whenever my wife profile is active we are getting consistent error messages indicating "cannot open the application"iTunes"as another user, he has opened." Ask the other user to quit the application and try again.

    I need to keep itunes open in my profile - and anyway, why are they bent them in two profiles in Vista... we never had this problem under XP.
    I asked Apple for advice, and they suggested to install itunes in the second profile... which I did and said to reinstall/repair...which is not the goal... Apple then told me to contact Microsoft support as he would have to do with the admin files...
    Any advice pls.
    Thank you

    Find the Itunes.exe in the Itunes folder in Program Files.  Right click on the .exe / Properties / compatibility, look down at the bottom of this page for the 'privilege level' and check the box that says "change settings for all users.  In the heartbeat window according to the box that says "run this program as an administrator".  This can only solve your problem if you can both run under the same user name.

    When you run a program as an administrator you should get a quick UAC (unless maybe you have turned off UAC?

    To see the file extensions, you may need to go into Control Panel / folder Options / discovers, there you can uncheck "hide known file type.
