Canon 6 d. Viewfinder is disabled. How do I turn it back on?

I have disabled somehow the viewfinder and can only take photos using the rear LCD. How can I activate the return vewfinder?

To the right of the optical viewfinder (or upper-right corner fo the LCD screen) there is a button labeled "Start/Stop" but notice the ring around the button is actually a swtich... which can be turned to the position of the camera or a video position.

Make sure that the swing is turned to the position of the camera.

When the switch is in the position of the camera, by pressing the button toggles the camera between the mode normal viewfinder vs live-view (LCD screen) to compose & take photos.
