• CP5.5: Display a Feedback box click button

  Hello.

  I am using Captivate 5.5. I want to display a (Next) button at the same time the return of click box appears (correct and incorrect feedback). User must click on the button to go to the next slide. I want feedback to remain on the screen until the user clicks the next button.

  Slide is a screen that shows a map of Europe, they click on a given country. If they click anywhere else, it is incorrect.

  I tried Advanved Actions - hide the next button when entering the slide, and then run an advanced action to display the next button when the user clicks the click box. I thought that as soon as the clickbox click on the next button and feedback would be displayed. But the next button appears after the feedback. (change the timing of feedback made no difference).

  So no idea how to display a button with click box feedback?

  Just checked it out and should have read more carefully. Make your question correct: you have a card, and only a click box in the right place?

  In this case, no need for conditional action, if you limit the attempts of 1. Use the success to trigger an action such as this:

  See the TxtCorrect

  Not really necessary if there is only 1 attempt to Hide TxtWrong

  See the BtNext

  The next day, last attempt create a similar standard action.

  You want to allow more attempts and the next button after the first attempt? In this case, I would have a second click on the first box. This second should cover the total plan. Then use the action of success for both: the big click displays the TxtWrong, click box TxtWrong

  It would be easier to change the default settings before you capture, to some of your questions. Edition, preferences, default values

  For editing: many accordions in the box click Properties panel have the button "apply to all items of this type. It's the small curved arrow top right of the accordion. You can use this:

  • When you apply the start time and "for the rest of the slide" at all, click boxes
  • in the Options to apply parameters of Pause and legend to all click boxes
  • in the Action to apply measures of success to all click boxes

  What is not possible for click boxes, because they do not have an object style, is to use this to CB on the slides of your choice.

  So I followed this article for a user to click on all the boxes to click until they could continue. Seems logical, but I found that it does not work and the suggestions was not what I was looking for 9 Captivate.

  This question has been answered several times in this forum.

  You need a variable user for each area of the click, which will be a Boolean variable, default = 0. It will change to 1 when you click on the click box. I suspect you want to leave boxes click activated when they carried out? If not, it could be a simpler solution, let me know.

  Create the button continue and make it invisible to the exit (button look in the properties panel). Create a tip action for each area of the click, which will be a conditional action with two decisions:

  'Always' first decision is a simulated standard action (with the condition "IF 1 is equal to 1' that is always true), assigns the value 1 to the appropriate variable and do any other thing you want to happen when the user clicks the click box

  Second decision "CheckAll" will test if all the variable is set to 1 (combination of conditions with AND), and then view the following button. Here is an overview of such an action, for the first click box, I have only 4 boxes to click, but it is easily edited for more information. For other areas of click, simply change the variable in the first decision (and possibly another command if the click box has do something).

  I am having a recurring problem between projects with CP 8. Projects that have used to work, do not work now. The boxes click jump to another slide. I solved this problem by copying all the slides in a new project, where they will start working. But there is a lot of work to clean up the new project. I still run into the same problem again and again.

  Is there anything else I need to check?

  Is there maybe a question between the slide and slide 7? If so, Captivate may be preventing you from jumping on an unanswered question.

• Hidden with light box click the box to open the PDF

  I have a light box hidden the learner clicks if it wants to click on the link to view the PDF file. I have a mask of SS, SS with a caption text, a button to close the light box and the click box running a tip action to open the PDF file. All are hidden except the click box.

  The problem is that I can't get the box click to fire the URL to view the PDF file. I can't hide the box click like the rest of the assets because it shows nothing.

  What could be the problem? Captivate 8.

  I thought about it. Basically, we have 2 boxes hidden light which learners can click through Help navigation and additional resources. I need to add a link to the tool on a hidden light boxes and tried to make a box click; the problem was all elements should be hidden for a CB work, it cannot be hidden.

  I used a smart form as a button instead.

  I have a box to click on a screen, not marked, I want display the failure text if the user clicks in the wrong place. Seems simple enough and works if I have no front button and back on the page.

  As soon as I add a few buttons smartshape as front and back text of failure does not work.

  Move the box click to the highest layer in the stacking order.  Do not put it under the buttons.

• Several boxes click 1 slide does not - novice needing help

  I currently have 4 boxes click on a slide.  The student must click to find out what surprising ingredient is included in each product.  However, after clicking on one or two, the slide appears out max on time and no other boxes click then display the text when you click on it.  I saw a few other elements published on this topic, but I'm at the beginner level and it mentioned or advanced collection actions.  Can you provide step by step details for how to ensure that the student is able to click and see all four boxes text, before moving on to the next slide?  I have a screenshot below - thank you!

  As Rod, to the exclusion of the total note issues do not change the scope of quiz at all.

  One solution could be to extend the scope of quiz for almost the whole of the file by inserting an interactive object in the first slide.

  As I had trouble to create buttons and making them work and present it clearly, I made a form, put the text on it and put a box to click on that. My navigation "buttons" work this way, if in the same project or go to another project.

  I chose in the Actions of the Properties section click on box to "send an email to" and in the address field, I entered the email address. However, when the project is published and played from the .swf file, by clicking on the box click does not create an open email (it does absolutely nothing). I don't have a transition, it is available for any length of blade, unlimited attempts, continue to play the slides and all other parameters outside the Action, are the same as the work "buttons" I.

  The only thing I can think who might contribute is we use Lotus Notes to our e-mail agent. Which would lead to the setting do not work, or is there another explanation?
