• Captivate published file - white screen, play dead bar 8

  I published a captivate file 8, and what I see is a white screen with a play bar dead. It is not a problem of the Preloader setting. Does not work if the percentage Preloader is set at 100% or 10%. No idea how to solve this problem?

  You have no pre-test question slide or you branch to the current activated in the Quiz settings?  Which will disable the playback bar.

  I created a tutorial in Captivate 7 (Win 8.1) using screenshots (taken from another computer by using Windows Update 8.1). I want the last slide in a white screen I will then model. I use "insert > white Slide" to make. The slide in the Filmstrip, seems to be empty. However, when I click on the slide, it shows a screen shot of a previous slide. I can't get rid of it. The image file does not appear in the timeline, nor, as noted earlier, in the film strip.

  What can I do? I want to add a SmartShape to cover the screen, but I want the watered down to 80% alpha. When I do that, I can see the background image that shouldn't be there in the first place. Help!

  Check if the timing of the image on the previous slide is set for the rest of the project.

• Remove a white border around TOC

  Hello all, I put a black background for the HTML page, controls reading and OCD. Still Captivate draws a white line border 1px around the table of contents. Is it possible to remove this?

  Out of curiosity, I ask which version Localisized you use?

  How to drag the names to display in captivate TOC?  Each blade has a name, but TOC display "Slide 1', slide 2' etc. Thank you

  I guess it is not updated. Click on the button refresh below the table of contents, and you should see the names.

  I'm having fun with the new Cp6.  I can't find how to do a few things.

  1. When you select an interaction you can assign one of the new themes, but it does not show all topics and it shows no themse that you create yourself. You save the themse in a certain place or is there another trick?

  2. on some of the interactions, you can add pictures, but on others, you can not for example circle, pyramid matrix etc. Is there a work-around, or is it a limit?

  3. on these interactions, you can add images, they appear to be limited to set the size. is there a place that shows these sizes?

  Please find my comments below for your questions:

  My comments-

  As you have certainly noticed, the themes in Captivate is alltogether different from themes in the Interactions.

  Howerver, some of the themes in the Interaction - theme 4, 11, 13, 14, 15 and 17 are designed to match respectively the themes by default blue own Captivate, Woody, black, white, green & clouds.

  And according to the guidelines of the moment, there is no direct relationship with any other Captivate theme (default or created by the user) with themes in the Interactions.

  There are interactions options to customize the color themes that allows you to match with the theme of your project.

  2. on some of the interactions, you can add pictures, but on others, you can not for example circle, pyramid matrix etc. Is there a work-around, or is it a limit?

  My comments-

  Yes, it's as expected, the reason being the circle, pyramid matrix the blank is that less compared to tabs processes or others. Then the text got priority.

  3. on these interactions, you can add images, they appear to be limited to set the size. is there a place that shows these sizes?

  Size is not considered as such anywhere, but I'll tell you.

  At runtime, the images are resized to-

  Accordion - 150 X 100

  Process - 150 X 150 tabs

  Timeline - 150 X 150

• Captivate 8 sensitive blades are empty

  Whenever the forms marked as a button is placed on a sensitive blade, all the contents of this slide is empty on the overview of the project or publication. Even when new buttons (smart shapes, text) is placed on a previously sensitive project all content of the slide is white. If I create another type of smart project then forms the buttons to appear on preview or published files. I also tried a new sensitive file and the same behavior occurs.

  I rebooted my workstation (MS 8.1/64) and the problem remains. What's wrong?

  I found out why my slides were empty is that Firefox does not support a lot of features in Captivate, at least by using a reactive model.

• FMR edition files contain a & quot; White & quot; Flash that appears when published

  My edited FMR files contain half a second 'white' flash that appears at the beginning of the FMR - but only when the Bill is presented in preview or published. The white flash is not present at the slide animation / individual plays in Captivate or Adobe FMR Editor.

  I don't know if this will work, but here is my suggestion to try.

  Take a screenshot of the first frame of each movie and configure it to be the background image for the slide.

  Here, my thought is flash occurs due to the normally white background showing before the complete movement of registration charges. So I thought that if an image was present, it is not nearly as sensitive.

• Captivate 9 after SWF publish showing the white screen.

  Hello

  I tried to publish captivate v9 in a swf file but comes up with blank info showing only model. Without any text to images without animation nothing...

  All I get is a white screen. I do not use a quiz, I have my own pictures of navigation so I'm not using a playback bar either. It worked up until yesterday, but not today. All I've done is added animation.

  Thanks Rod, yes I did too, but nothing helped.

  But it seems to have stumbled across the solution. So, I had a reading before bar and them that we decided to have us nav buttons.

  because I had a previous button sitting in the footer at the beginning of each slide and its idle state came after 2.4 seconds since the beginning of the slide, all images, text, after that were not displayed. I am a user of Camtasia, but my company is now using Captivate doing a bit of cross skilling here...

• I can't cut my FMR video in Captivate 6 on Windows 7

  I created a video demonstration Captivate 6 on Windows 7 and I can't get the TRIM function to work.

  I have recorded the FMR and opened it in the timeline.

  I select cut in the editing of the FRM Options and put the marker when I want the pad to start.

  When I click start marker: align the playhead, nothing happens. Ditto for the end marker.

  Even if I set the filling from and to, and then click cut, nothing happens.

  I'm doing something wrong? It seems to be a very simple process, and yet I can't make it work.

  I'm confused by your question: you cannot create a TMF pure 6 of Captivate, you created a demo? In this case, after registration, you will see the video in the player, and at the bottom right, you can use the change to go into the video editor where you will have features much more than just the filling.

  If you speak of a slide, where FMR was used during the automatic Capture in a software simulation, in edit FMR options will be available. I just checked out and Trim, smapping works like in previous versions. It is the only way to get FMR-slides in a cptx file.

• Captivate 5.5 > FMR > Trim: images removed and audio doesn't go away

  Dear all:

  It's my first time using Captivate 5.5 test and I did a recording (SW simulation with full movement) and now I need to remove some sections (pieces of video and audio related) to the cptx file. Browsing the web I found the pad option (properties > FMR change Options and I chose a start and end time: from 71.1 to 85.5) and when I click on the topping appears the message "Deleting frames", but when I play the cptx to new audio and video is still there. What am I doing wrong?. I have attached a picture showing this.

  On your screenshot I have detect the video was cut, the 'red line' in the middel of the slide on the timeline is shorter than the total duration of slide.

  But you have wrongly assumed that the audio is embedded in the FMR, has a separate scenario, you will need to edit audio with Audio, Edit, slide to remove the part you have carved in the FMR.

  BTW: Full motion recording is not the best practice with Adobe Captivate, since I see that you create software training. Please, try this with auto capture, you can even have three files at once: demonstration, training and evaluation. The natural workflow Captivate is creation of static slides instead of the video (like most of the other screen capture applications do) and happen at FMR only when necessary and automatically. This workflow has two main benefits:

  1. The file size will be much smaller
  2. The change is much easier than video editing: to add captions, images, synchronize, edit the captions that have been added automatically, change the movements of the mouse...

  I really recommend trying that the workflow. And take a look at the preferences (SHIFT + F8), recording Modes to see which will be added automatically in the mode of demonstration, assessment Simulation and training Simulation. Sorry for sounding so much as a 'teacher', which I am.

  I just got my hands on captivate 5, and I must say it its really better than captivate 4.

  So the problem I encountered is this:

  I tried a full recording motion recording in captivate 5 and after I have made, in the library when I right click on the FMR file, he has not had the FMR Editor option (which is available in captivate 4, in which we can cut or delete a part of the video).

  Is this removed feature of captivate 5 or its moved somewhere else?

  If its deletion, it will be really sad because this editor has been really useful, with that I could remove only the unwanted part of a recording.

  Once you are done with recording in FMR mode,

  -Select the slide (in the strip of film), which has the FMR file

• Edition of FMR in Captivate 4

  I'll make this quick and easy... Is it possible to change the inside CP4 FMR records? Be very useful to have a video editing mode (as camtasia in its program - to change images in SWF files). There are some begin and finish the pieces I want to 'cut' of my recordings.

  When checking using Captivate files - I came across an editor of FMR for Captivate 3 movies. Unfortunately (and predictable), it did not work with SWFs generated CP4.

  is it possible to edit these movies CP4 or application, the module?

  Try right click on the video for full movement on the slide in Captivate 4. Choose search in the library. This should show you where the clip is in the library. Click the clip in the library, and then choose Edit with FMReditor.

• Captivate 9 - Insert FMR / CPVC slide. Not playing is not at the time where the draft published in HTML5

  I've created a little demo that had a FMR slide in it.  The published final result must be available for the computer laptop and iPAD.  When I published to SWF/HTML5 and hosted on a web server, the demo worked fine (SWF version).  However for HTML5 demo worked well, with the exception of the slide FMR who plays at all and just had a loading message which remained on screen.  After reading this and other forums and google, I replaced the FMR slide with a slide CPVC still to SWF/HTML5 and edited tested but have the same result of loading for HTML5 output message.

  Anyone has any ideas how to fix?

  Hmmm, I'm especially successful when a dia FMR does not play by replacing it with a CPVC-slide (which is output to MP4, H264, which is compatible with HTML). How did you test: try to publish and upload to a Web server.
