  In Captivate 5 Table of contents, I drag an exisitng a topic for other slides. Near as I can tell when I lower in the table of contents it adds a folder or a cap with no slide assigned. Is it possible to assign an existing slide in this position or withdrawal of existing slides without the addition of the heading?

  Hello

  No, if you want to you have slides of group levels. It's a sort of chapter, subchapter... hierarchy of slides, you can create several levels if you wish.

  Perhaps this idea: If you don't want to show all slides, you could just check the slides that you want as the title for others to be visible.

  (1) you see no error on the Setup screen? If Yes please download the screenshot?

  (2) the UCR is a failure because it is not able to connect to the database. Please make sure that you have entered the correct database details.

  Also, can you please try the following and check the box.

  Go to the location / / rcu/config /

  Take backup for the file rcu.properties, and then change the below

  JDBC_LOGIN_TIMEOUT = 30

  TO

  JDBC_LOGIN_TIMEOUT = 300

  and try again.

  While the V12 is the table of contents, it imports it as text, which is not what I want.

  Table of contents feature has existed for some time and works very well for dyanamic documents. Mark you each article/FAP with a table of contents object, mark the level, and then create an object Table of contents or Index at the beginning or at the end of the form if necessary. The update of the system will be autimatically page numbers running, depending on what is included (each section/FAP). If you do not need the dynamic assembly, then you can simply import the RTF/DOC/DCOX as is.

• Table of contents using a style/section of the master page

  I'm at the top of my head I think... and probably incorrectly to the top of my document.  I hope I can quickly explain where I am:

  Question 1

  I'd like a Table of contents to use 10 section headers that appear throughout my document.  Here's how I set up:

  • In the master page, a place for the header of section and it gives a paragraph style.
  • Then, throughout the document, I used the "numbering and section options" start each new section and give this article is the unique name.

  When I went to generate the Table of contents, I've specified using this particular paragraph style that I used for the section headers, but nothing appears (except for the title, I asked for the General table of contents).  It's as if this isn't to find the sections - or this style (which applies only to the master page).

  Where am I wrong?

  I don't know that you understood my post. I was able to do exactly what you did - create a master page with a frame and the section marker character (indicating "section" on the master page) and then add the actual text of the marker in the numbering and section options. The text appears on the page of live document.

  When I tried to do a table of contents, text was not resumed UNTIL I selected and carried this master frame on the page of the document (Ctrl + Shift + click on Windows or Cmd + Shift + click on Mac on the image that you want to replace). After substitution, the text appeared as scheduled in the table of contents.

  You're right about the number of page for this page. You can use another master without a page number, or you can cancel and delete the master page number frame. I assume that you will need to use a different master for the first page and pages in any section to avoid having the marker appear on all pages, or you can replace only the first page so that you don't repeat entries in the table of contents for each page of each section.  If you use the marker as a running header Section, you can learn more about Variables header running in the help files in place. In many ways, the use of a variable can be simpler and more direct.

• Automated Table of contents using incorrect styles

  I got the InDesign to generate the table of contents for me based on the styles that I created. In most cases, this works very well except for a few cases where some of the generated elements have the applied incorrect character style.

  For example, I have a paragraph called Sub header style. In the settings Table of contents window, I have subheader put in place for the TOC entry under heading style. Each time the Sub header entry appears, it theoretically should use the table of contents under heading style in the table of contents. Unfortunately, for reasons I cannot quite understand, this isn't happening. Most of the entries under the header appear correctly, using the Sub TOC header, but some of them are filling in the table of contents with adaptations of the character style that have been used in the body.

  Does anyone know a way around this? If my example was not clear enough, let me know what I need to study in detail, and I'll do it.

  It is a normal behavior. Local Overides and character styles are preserved when points are awarded to a new style. You can avoid this by using nested styles or styles built GREP style intothe defintion to apply special formatting (because they are part of the definition of paragraph style that they are not substitutions and will not be kept), or if this is not possible, you can make a topic non-printable to use instead and apply the paragraph style and then make a copy of the style and give a new name (just the base on the other model and nothing else than the name change) and apply it to one with character style replacements, so it does not appear in the table of contents.

• Prevent users from using the playback control progress bar

  I have a series of slides in a movie I want to controlled by buttons previous and next to each slide for help click on options in the box.  I want also the Playback Control progress bar appears but ONLY indictate users to step into the film and not to click on any part of the bar to advance to one of the slides and to come.

  I know how to make a sideshow of base with transitions, but I can't figure out how or find a tutorial on how to add playback controls. I need to make a web banner similar to the following:

  Why do I need to do this:
  
  I have a Flash environment. Each character in the environment is a .flv file. The characters interact with each other. The way I see it, this can be accomplished one of two ways:
  
  -two (for the two characters) flv files that run to the same exact duration
  -several flv for each character for always interaction files (I'm a little against that, because I care for the videos to load completely before starting)
  
  
  What I tried:
  
  -The FLV PlayBack component: this does not really work, since reading skin is visually connected to only a single video. In addition, it only controls a single video.
  
  -Playback FLV Custom AI: I still have to make it work even with a single video. However, I wonder still if it is perhaps the best solution, since I can place the PlayBar anywhere on the screen and should be able to generate scripts for two video playback controls. As I have said, however, I was not able to run at all.
  
  -J' built an original prototype of this in Captivate. Play several videos to YouTube (simultaneously or not) with a bar reading single skin for the whole project was easy. The problem I ran into was that the components of test in Captivate question did not what I need (aging of and becomes inactive when selected, able to try again)
  
  
  Can you help me?

• Playback control bar hiding

  Is it possible to hide the control bar of selectively? that is for a single slide.

  I use a certificate at the end of a quiz widget, but you can get the certificate, even if you fail by simply clicking on the next button. In Quiz preferences I put the "aground" option to jump the user to the beginning of the quiz, but this only happens when you press a button "continue". Am I going about this all wrong?

  Hi, Captivate 3 can publish you the project to a single .swf file that contains the control of playback. Currently, when you publish, two files are created, xxx.swf and xxx_skin.swf.

  Captivate 2, I know that you can get a single file by deselecting the option "Show borders" on the tab borders in the skin Editor. I guess it's still true in CP3.

  When you turn off the borders, the PlayBar is moved inside the content area, so he superimposes your content. That may affect your design, you will be unable to point out / use this area of the screen of your content.

The person no-Help me had create a new project and, since a new display TOC by default, she insisted it was a problem specific to the project, gave me a url for how to avoid damage to the files and said I had to redo my project! I said it must be a bug feature or without papers, but she said she wouldn't report it because I was the only one with the problem. She could not address my point that I had certainly not created the button table of contents in the playback control.
  
  After getting off the phone very frustrated, I discovered this is a feature of the TOC/entity overlay option. If you choose overlay, button table of contents appears in the playback control and click for table of contents display.
  
  Wishing Adobe would only add this point in the help file.
