  Hi, I created a PDF file with a link mailto: link. When I click on this link in V11 player he does not start an email. However, when my business partner click the mailto: bind it works. We use the two V11, we both run Windows 7, and we both use Thunderbird. The only difference is that it is based in the United Kingdom and I am in the United States.   Hi all - number set - I knew that it had to be something with my windows given that it was the only variable - I went to start > default programs > set access and computer program defaults > custom falling down. Then I enabled access to Thunderbird under the default e-mail program option.

  I can now hit the mailto: link and he launched Thunderbird.

  I created an email template in Eloqua, which is a two-column layout. The text box on the left has links that work very well. The text box on the right has links that do not work. This only occurs in Outlook. If I find the email in an another e-mail client, all right. What could be wrong causing the links is not working?

  I called support this morning and all I had to do was move the text box on the right side to the top of a few pixels and now everything works fine. I guess when the two tables are the same height, Outlook rides them and cannot process the links properly. I like it when it's an easy solution!

  I use Adobe Captivate 8, and I am running a problem using widgets/training interactions.

  I recently created a training module for my work, and when I publish the project, none of my interactions of training work. My project contains:

  Puzzle

  Glossary

  image zoom

  YouTube video

  None of them work, even if everything else on the project works very well. All slides work well when I preview the project in a browser, but when I open the "index.html" file in the output folder (Yes, I extracted everything first. Still not), widgets, just "loading" for a few moments and then fail. The slide loads normally after trying and then displays normally, but with a blank space where the widget should be.

  I use a responsive project in Windows 7 x 64. I open the file in Google Chrome. I tried several PC and no luck. My main theory is that it is because I am running the file "index.html" locally, rather than first host it on the web. I tried upload on Google Drive to test it from there, but I couldn't open. Do you know of any good method web hosting that I could use to test the slides? Or rather, what methods I could take to ensure my content works correctly when I export?

  I think that I figured it out, I unchecked create hyperlinks from URLS in the preferences.

  I have a link to a page of one web site other than the site of Muse I created.  I have a line that says go HERE to get the coupon.  I have a link HERE to the Web page that contains the coupon.  I have 3 instances of the apperaring link on the same page.  The first link half works and loads the page without images.  second link works perfectly.  3rd link does nothing.  Go back and look at the link box and the first and the last is changed to other stuff.  Can't get the right link to stay in the box...  Link works very well in the Middle but not the other two.

  You used behavior of image for DW swap on these mouseovers, links would be updated.  Your manual approach is causing DW miss those links when it updates the pages.

  I have buttons in a video called navigation which is then put in scene 1. In scene 1 I frames with labels and I want the buttons to link to the scene as a single, label whatever. Seems the value OK but when I click on the link it seems to just reload the film of navigation instead of going to the frame in stage 1. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

• Box appears not to if the field is null

  I'm running Reports Developer 10.1.2.3 locally. Then I forms and reports Services on the application server 10.1.2.3. When I run the report locally by the developer reports if data of a field is the text box appears in any case, but when I save the report on the application server and re - compile there and then run only the fields that have data appear with the box around them.
  
  I saw another post and the fix was to make sure that all the fields had 'fixed' horizontal elasticity. I have both vertical and horizontal elasticity fixed value.

  When attaching images to an e-mail (outlook), they show the previously edited image, not the current/newly edited view I see in Bridge or PS why is this?  I noticed that before loading the images to Web sites too and in any overview of the windows image that you see that it is like that as well.

  You must click on SAVE to save the changes.

  Changes in Camera raw are not applied to the original image in Finder/Explorer, they apply only to the bridge.

  Only by selecting Save will create a new copy of the image with these changes.

• Quiz variable not followed responses from text box

  Hi all

  I'm having a problem for the Captivate Quiz variable to track the right answers in a text box. I am using Captivate 5 and try to do a quiz where someone will enter data that will be validated and branch out of their responses. I've implemented several text boxes, turned on the validation, check the "Include in Quiz" and add it to the boxes of responses total and report. See the picture below:

  

  I try to the branch with the help of a tip action that checks if the variable cpQuizInfoPointsscored and branches in function out of their score. But the variable still shows 0! (I put in place a text caption to display the variable I went for check.) Here's the weird part, I have the quiz results slide in the presentation, and IT shows precisely the results of the test boxes. But for some reason any Quiz Variable is not monitoring them! Any help?

  Hello and welcome to the forum,

  Your question, I know that you use CP5.0, correct? This "bug" has been fixed in Captivate 5.5. Has been one of the users who had insisted (in bug report) to have all system variables Quizzing updated after each question and not only once the quiz is completed, the score slide. now that you're bumping into this issue: the cpQuizInfoPointsscored score is tracked and must have the scores for text input areas or any other inventoried object (all appear in the Advanced Interaction Overview - F9) but only to the score slide.

  I had a work around in CP5 (described somewhere in an article or a blog post), using the variable Quizzing which IS updated after each question: cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored.

  If you want the functionality of CP5.5, you will need to follow the final score in a variable user in advanced actions. It of not really that hard, since you're already using advanced actions, step by step

  • Create a variable user v_currentscore
  • upon entering each slide of the question have this statement executed (if you do not already have a tip for this event Enter action, and it is the only statement, better add continue as second statement)
    
    • Expression v_currentscore = v_currentscore + cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored
  • Now you can use this variable user for your check instead of cpQuizInfoPointsscored, you understand that it is only updated on the slide after the slide where the question is answered? Let me know if there is a problem
