Captivate 9, sensitive project, JavaScript alert window

Hello friends,

I use 9 Captivate to create a sensitive project. My plan was to use alert boxes for transmitting information to the user. I created a simple java script file and included in the assets/js file:

var ASBtest = function (name)

{

myIdName = name;

Alert (myIdName + 'Création');

};

ASBtest.prototype.sayHello = function()

{

Alert ("Hello, I am" + myIdName);

};

I changed the index.html file to include the JavaScript file.

I have the following in my Captivate project, run on a button click:

var MyTest = new ASBtest ('Billy');

mytest.sayHello ();

I see two alert windows: when the instance is created, and then again when the method is called. I only see the last one in the called method. Why have I not the first?

Sincerely,

Peter

Try to use console.log () instead and see what you get. Captivate deletes the alerts in its own custom message box.

Also, why are you using Prototype, do you plan on adding methods more?

  • Captivate 9 - sensitive project - Mobile Portrait - propagate the change to the top of the Mobile on the desktop

    Hi all

    I use 9 Captivate to create a sensitive project. Users of mobile devices will be the main users of the project. I do my development in the Portrait of Mobile "view". I have a few users who use a table or desk to display the session. I know that if I develop for the desktop, add all I have spread to smaller views. Rather than start at the level of the office and to adapt to the small views, then I work backwards and start on the smallest view, Portrait of Mobile, and have my data propagated to the larger views? I ask because I started my development in Portrait Mobile and when I publish, nothing appears in the standard browser until I got to a mobile size.

    Thank you

    Peter

    You have no need to go sensitive joins mobile devices.  An ordinary project published in HTML5 will do it.  Reactive is necessary only when you need the content displayed on portable small armoured as well as larger screens for desktop or tablet computers AND your content will not be affected by rotation or he rearrange windows portrait.

  • My glossary in a widget does not appear in captivate 8 sensitive project. I copied and pasted. What should do?

    .

    I answer myself:

    response plans are for me too complicated: is a function works and either excludes or reverse.

    Buttons do not work and the glossary or the works of glossary and the buttons do nothing.

    Also, powerpoints can be imported and other functions are also excluded (slide overs)

    I enjoy working on content, my background is very good to be seen on my Ipad in a non reactive way.

    Also the assistance service is very poor: no answers...

    Nobody knows the right answers.

    A little disappointed.

    I'll wait for captiva, 9, 10 and 11, before returning to reagent.

    Unti now I'm going to go the way that don't meet pluse: making that Captivate is excellent

  • 9. sensitive project - path form of Captivate Smart fail

    Hello

    I use 9 Captivate to create a sensitive project. I created a smart shape polygon and applied the effect of movement to go from left to right. When I'm in design mode and click play, the shape moves as it should. When I saw or publish the project, the form fails to the top. I tried to join two images png, both worth 900px and I get the message "this type of image is prohibited.

    Any ideas why the form stop short, or maybe why I can't download the images?

    Peter

    Have you installed the patch? The current version is 9.0.0.230.

    Play slide is not a method of preview, you must use only to synchronize on the timeline, it isn't supposed to be a preview method.

  • Captivate 8 sensitive advanced project action effect

    Hello

    I am using captivate 8 to create a sensitive project. When I click on a smart form (configured to be a button) I want to run a fast action. In this advanced action, I want to apply an effect of left movement right to an image. How I see the path that takes the image? How can I make this longer or shorter way? The effect does not appear in the effect controls panel.

    Thank you

    Peter

    It's always a very heavy workflow, I'm sorry. I already blogged about this over 4 years ago and although some features of the effects have been improved, not this one.

    Trajectories and custom effects reuse - Captivate blog Edition

    This is the workflow:

    1. Create the desired effect as an effect based on the hour, where you can change the path.
    2. Register as a custom effect, the location is not important, you have to remember.
    3. Remove effect
    4. Apply the effect customized to the object again, you will need to navigate to the location where it is stored.
    5. Remove the effect.
    6. Now that the effect will be shown in the "Custom" from the drop-down list category, when you choose the command effect apply in the dialog of AA.

    Even at the CP9, where effects have been integrated in the timeline panel and live preview is possible, where you can change the duration and start time in the AA, this workflow for paths is always the same when the effects for the first time. At least, it's possible.

    Oops, I just see that this is a sensitive project. I didn't check what is happening in the views of lower breakpoint.

  • Captivate 9 sensitive works do not correctly on WordPress

    Hello

    I don't know if anyone can help me. We are new with adobe captivate 9 and have been playing with reactive nature projects. We want this to work on our Web site we use LearnDash to publish our course.

    I spent most of the day yesterday on the adobe support who said they don't have any expertise in WordPress and therefore cannot advise if it will work or not.

    We have created http://mtdelearning.co.uk/test-2/ - a sensitive project provided by adobe for the tests. If you view it on an iPad or iPhone it does not seem right however adobe have placed on this one: http://www.varunweb.tk/cp/index.html which is not a WordPress site and it works great.

    Adobe advised to open the project directly rather than through iFrame. Anyone have an idea how we can do it, rather than by iFrame. Currently, that's how I'm integrating the session:

    "< div class ="aspect-ratio - 4 x 3"> < iframe src="/cp9_sessions/test3/index.html "width ="1080"height ="810"> < / iframe > < / div >

    Thank you very much

    Jenny

    A player of LMS normally uses a sort of frameset if the page that displays the content to the INSIDE of the frames set to play.  This allows the LMS to 'listen' calls JavaScript that makes the content to the outside world, or in this case, for the LMS.

    Some LMS using framesets.  It seems that your LMS uses an iFrame in a normal web page.  Either it should be to listen to the calls to the SCORM API.

    If you simply change the code to call the index.html file of the course directly from a link on your web page in WordPress, then set it to target _new, it should open the html course in a different window.  However, unless that link is made through your LMS in a way that sets up the SCORM API normal communication, your course not send results everywhere and the LMS will not be able to pick up and track the interaction of the user.  It is therefore a bit of a catch 22.

  • CP8 sensitive project will not auto run in the browser from the desktop

    I did a sensitive project that works very well on digital devices. However, when it is using a desktop (Windows 7 & Chrome 37) browser it does not autoplay after loading. I prefer to run the project with skin all disabled and having the user click play at the bottom button to advance the project is distracting for my learners.

    The desktop version is also ignoring the actions of the buttons.

  • Suitable tables - Adobe Captivate 9 responsive project

    Hello

    I use Adobe captivate 9 to create an e-leaning course, I build a sensitive project...

    02.png

    My question deals with appropriate tables, is there a way to insert a sensitive table where mobile devices get a reformatted and easier to explore the table:

    changing the layout of

    Untitled-1.png

    Or view a mini tableview with scroll bars to view all the content.

    Or the only way is to design my tables manually for each device in adobe captivate 9

    Thank you

    Slim Arfaoui

    No table reactive in Captivate. You will need to change the layout in the Mobile display breakpoint. Scrolling is possible when you have a slide that is greater than the default height of the mobile breakpoint.

  • Show alert window when the selection is made in menu drop-down (or when the text field is filled)

    I'm a JavaScript novice writer and need help a warning window that meets the programming user selection form a menu drop-down.

    If the user selects any option except the default choice (which is just an empty space), I want an alert is displayed.  If the user is moving through this area without changing the default value, nothing should happen.

    I have a script attached to the "blur" event for the dropdown menu, but it appears each time you tab in this area, of course.  I don't know how to tell him to display the alert if and only if the user has changed the selection.

    Similarly, I have another field which is a simple text field.  If the user types anything in this area, I would like another alert window pops up.  The thing from the drop-down list seems a little more difficult, so if anyone can help me get that squared away, I can probably understand how to program the alert text field.

    In fact, it's the same code for both types of fields:

    If (event.target.value! = event.target.defaultValue) app.alert ("your message");

  • Captivate 8 sensitive blades are empty

    Whenever the forms marked as a button is placed on a sensitive blade, all the contents of this slide is empty on the overview of the project or publication. Even when new buttons (smart shapes, text) is placed on a previously sensitive project all content of the slide is white. If I create another type of smart project then forms the buttons to appear on preview or published files. I also tried a new sensitive file and the same behavior occurs.

    I rebooted my workstation (MS 8.1/64) and the problem remains. What's wrong?

    I found out why my slides were empty is that Firefox does not support a lot of features in Captivate, at least by using a reactive model.

  • Publish the sensitive project as a swf file

    Anyone know if it is possible to publish a swf file (created in Captivate 8) reactive project?

    We found that when published in html5, it is not compatible with all browsers. We want to offer a flash and html5 version but I can't find this option to publish.

    Hello

    I think you will discover the path you need to take is carefully create a new project that's not reactive, then copy and paste the sensitive to the inadmissible project assets. Then, you create a SWF from that.

    Note that if you publish a project inadmissible that you choose to publish in the form of people both SWF and HTML5 and point to the page htm multiscreen. This page should detect the browser and direct people to the SWF version if they are able to use the SWF and for the HTML5 version if they are not capable.

    You run this code through the address bar?

    You can run is more JavaScript code via the address bar in Firefox 6 and later versions.

    You see an error message in the tools > error Console.

    Now, this code gets a security principal null for security reasons and has no effect (Bug 656433).

    You must create a bookmarklet (keyword) and run the code by invoking this bookmark.

    NoScript can allow you to run this code through the address bar, see:
