Suitable tables - Adobe Captivate 9 responsive project

Hello

I use Adobe captivate 9 to create an e-leaning course, I build a sensitive project...

02.png

My question deals with appropriate tables, is there a way to insert a sensitive table where mobile devices get a reformatted and easier to explore the table:

changing the layout of

Untitled-1.png

Or view a mini tableview with scroll bars to view all the content.

Or the only way is to design my tables manually for each device in adobe captivate 9

Thank you

Slim Arfaoui

No table reactive in Captivate. You will need to change the layout in the Mobile display breakpoint. Scrolling is possible when you have a slide that is greater than the default height of the mobile breakpoint.

  • Is there a maximum limit for Question pools in the Adobe Captivate 8 SCORM project?

    You want to know if it is necessary to create SCORM content with question pools 27 120 issues all together. Does anyone have idea if there is any limitation in SCORM 1.2 or Captivate?

    I didn't know all the data to indicate the Captivate imposes a limit on the number of pools or the number of questions.  However, SCORM 1.2 has a relatively small allocation of data from resumes and this can sometimes cause problems with big quiz.  But the usual problem that cause relates to bookmarking of the course if the learner should end their attempt to session before completing the module and then later resumed where they had left him.

  • Adobe Captivate 8 - responses of synchronization in the text entry box

    I would like to limit the time to answer a question using the text entry area, but there is no option in the properties of the input box. I know that I can use the question slides (short answer) because they have an option of limitation in time, but not much can be changed there design wise so I need to use the text entry box.

    You can use the hourglass interaction or the time. It allows you to display a message and go to another slide when the time is up. However, if you are talking about seconds, it is not very accurate.

  • Adobe Captivate 7 - How to create a custom without the function table of contents table of contents?

    Hello

    I want to create a table of contents in my E-Learning-project because the automatically generated TOC of Adobe Captivate 7 includes all the features I need to check for example chapters which are the groups in the film strip.

    I use master slides in my project.
    The table of contents, I need must be designed and programmed as follows:

    1 intro / title slides

    9 chapters

    The progress of the work - 3 status - all chapters should be moved by symbols in the table of contents

    Symbol 1: chapter has not yet begun (just an empty box)

    Side 2: chapter is work in progress (a square with a green triangle inside)
    Side 3: chapter is finished that means that all of the slides in this chapter are read (the square is filled with a green square)

    All the chapters and Points to the table of contents must be clickable (links) maybe with a mouse over effect (change in colour of mouse) and should start to the first slide of this chapter.

    The chapter which is open must be written in bold with one blue color, others who are not open to be written in the normal font with a black color

    I think it's a little complex, but solutionable.

    I think I need to create three symbols of the buttons form, advanced actions that tend to fade and fade out named symbols.

    Is there someone who can describe the process of creation? Where should I place all the functions, actions and so on? On the slide master?

    Thank you for the answers!

    The only thing I can say about it is that I build it in Flash, so it could be dynamic and reusable.

    If you take the time to build a PC inside it only works for one project. Certainly you would have a base to work from, but for a another edition project wouldn't be fun.

    If you need HTML5, I think it would be much more difficult to build a dynamic table of contents.

  • Adobe Captivate project is published as a PDF print issue

    Does anyone have instructions to print a project, Adobe Captivate imported from a PowerPoint presentation and published in PDF format so that several slides are printed on a single page? It seems that the PDF recognizes the project as a single page and not several pages, so I'm not able to print multiple slides on a single sheet of paper. Appreciate any help.

    There is some confusion: you can publish to PDF, which will result in an interactive pdf.

    If you want to print a file, you must use the file, print. You can choose handouts. But it will be in the word (the model is not very nice).

    Hello

    When I publish a project with Adobe Captivate 8.0.0.242 as SWF (Flash Player 11) SCORM 1.2 and I matter it on my MOODLE training platform, I'm having display problems. My project is not resized when I reduce my page (Internet Explorer 11) or change screen (screen monitor = > laptop screen), the project is so truncated, or elevators appear.

    -decrease the scale of the project (zoom out) when it is possible,

    -increase the scale of the project (zoom in) when it is possible,

    -document Center.

    The update should be available to help, updated. It is available since October 2014.

    Being administrator is not the same thing as Captivate running as an administrator that must be put in place in the menu right click on the shortcut that launches Captivate. You have restricted functionality if this is not done.

    I told you how to clear preferences, with the file Utils. First close Captivate, when you restart CP will create a new preferences folder.

    If you have a lot of customization that you will lose when the erasing of the preferences. To keep them, have a look at my blog:

    Layouts folder is located in the public Documents. It is a copy of the original folder in the gallery. Same thing with the Interactions.

    Is it possible to turn the dilemma 2 projects (.2qn file extension) in Adobe Captivate 8 projects? I tried to save the embarrassing situation in a text file, but Captivate wouldn't import correctly.

    Hello

    I've never seen such a method. I think you will find that you must simply recreate your dilemma inside Captivate project and forget all means of import.

    The only thing that comes to mind would be to import the project dilemma in PowerPoint. (Assuming that such a thing exists) then import the PPT in Captivate. But you wouldn't be able to make everything connect.

  • You can save a. CPTX (project) as one. CPTL (model) and convert later than for one. File CPTX? I just need a little clarification on this operation in Adobe Captivate 8.

    You can save a. CPTX (project) as one. CPTL (model) and convert later than for one. File CPTX? I just need a little clarification on this operation in Adobe Captivate 8. Thanks in advance!

    Sorry, but I neglected to include a bit small (but essential) information on this thing cptl.

    A file cptl is a model of Captivate. When you create one and create a new project based on a template, you point to the .cptl file. And at this time, no matter what the .cptl file has inside of it at this time is copied to a new project file. From there, you simply save the project and .cptx is assumed. The CPTL will already have the draft resolution together and many other things. The beauty is that once it is all set up correctly, it allows you to create faster training because you don't have to stop and consider things like the resolution of project, which should show the first slide, which should show the last slide, but also a host of other possibilities.

    The reactive substance, you need to ask one of the new kids on the block who is struck with it. I'm old school and have yet to fully embrace it. It's new and full of contradictions. And I really struggled with how many people ask to see training which normally runs on a large monitor displayed on their tiny phone screens where text messages are often barely legible.

  • "Project created by Adobe® Captivate® 5 ' flickering popup

    Hello!

    I have an old Flash file in which there is a clip where I call different Captivate files. The Flash file has been exported in a version of Flash Player 6. I tried to export a version of Flash Player 10, but it does not solve my files to captivate the problem, which were really old too, have recently been replaced by a version of Captivate 5 (and exported into Flash Player 10).

    When I open the HTML related to the Flash file, the entire animation of the Captivate flickers and there is a pop up box (shining too) in which it is written "project created bhy Adobe Captivate 5.

    I tried to re - export my HTML file too. I changed the domain to 'always' instead of "sameDomain" in arguments...

    I also tried google, but found nothing relevant.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Can you let us know what was the version of Captivate in which it was originally created and published for Flash v6.

    Before Captivate 5, content was based on the Action Script v2 and Cp5 from it is AS3 only. Could be a possibility that the objects in your slides are not compatible.

    Yet you can try-

    Clicking on file - publish settings - size SWF and the quality and change to custom - Unchcek the advanced compression option.

    Make file - publish - use Flash Player 9 to publish this time - check the option Force republish all slides and check with different browsers if you are able to see.

    From the publication folder - launch HTM and SWF separately and check if either works?

    What is the content of your project? Do you have quizzes or animations or widgets any?

  • Adobe Captivate 7 - How can I create a Pop Up window that I can use as a print, warning or something else?

    Hello

    I've produced an e-Learning in Adobe Captivate 7, which consist of a vertical menu and a horizontal menu. The vertical menu on the left of the screen is the table of contents for e-Learning. It consists of all the themes of the small horizontal learning e - Learning.The is located on the upper side of the screen. This menu contains menu options such as 'legal' and 'warning '. They are textlinks / hypertext links. How can I join, it will open a pop-up window on the e-Learning after clicking on menu "imprint" or "warning? The pop-up windows should have the same design as the e-Learning for himself.

    Thank you very much for your answers!

    That would be my approach:

    • Create all objects in the pop-up window on the first slide, group them (Gr_Popup) and their time for the rest of the project, Place objects on verified top. Be sure to include the X button, which should be a button of form because a normal button cannot be programmed for the rest of the project. A form is also a text container, it may not be a problem.
    • Create a tip action "Mount" that you can run on enter for each slide to hide Gr_Popup, tip even action can be used for the X button. You could create an action as well, with one group setting. Depending on the setting of the slide, perhaps, it may be necessary to add the Continue statement for this action if used on enter. Don't need her for the action of the X key.
    • Use another button of form for action "to be clicked to display the context menu. For this one, you have the choice:
      • on the master slide (make sure you have model objects of slides on top for daughter master slides), given that you don't need to control (show/hide) button by any action
      • or also on the first slide and timed for the rest of the project
    • Create another advanced (or shared action) with the statement "Gr_Popup Show".
  • "Jump" to a specific slide in adobe captivate with edge animate.

    I want to "jump" to a specific slide in adobe captivate using interactions created in a file hosted from edge. Is someone able to help me with the javascript code needed to do this?

    So I don't know what was going on in April which did not possible but now 9 Captivate at least you can below to communicate a slide jump in Cape Town from the edge.

    I have an Edge file with a unique symbol to this topic called edgeButton which is just a simple rectangle with text on the subject. On the click to edgeButton event, I added the following script:

    window.parent.postMessage ('2', ' * ');

    Where the '2' is the second slide in a Captivate project. Here's a visual aid on board for the game to the top:

    On the side of the course of things, I set up a simple empty project with two slides on it and have disabled the PlayBar. On the first slide, I imported the OAM Edge file from above and on the second slide are just a simple text caption so that you know you have arrived at this slide after clicking on the "Click me" button in the animation of embedded edge. Here is a visual aid for the CAP put in place:

    Notice that there is a progress of the Actions run on the onEnter of the master slide. This is what looks like this Action:

    First, we add a Pause action so that the project does not automatically. Then we add a Javascript action to perform on the window 'active'. The script in the window Javascript crap is:

    window.addEventListener ("message", slideJump);

    function slideJump (event) {}

    Console.log (Event.Data);

    window.cpAPIInterface.gotoSlide (event.data);

    }

    If you use IE, change the first line of window.attachEvent ("onmessage", slideJump);

    What we have done here is connect Edge (that Cap incorporates in an iframe) with Cap using the postMessage function that allows document windows communicate with each other. Since the Edge object is inside the DOM of the CAP, the script of edge must publish its message to its parent window, which is the Cap document window. Add the listener for the event message to Cap on its current context of window and after receiving the message that we call the function slideJump and suss out the string that was sent to the wire using event.data, which in this case will be "2."

    We record the value in the console

    Console.log (Event.Data);

    just for sanity check our channel, then pass the string to the common JS Cape API interface

    window.cpAPIInterface.gotoSlide (event.data);

    the Cap project going to slide #2.

    If you're curious, here's a Stack Overflow write to postMessage . Communication between edge and Cap can work in two ways via postMessage, btw. Here is an example where we do something similar, except that we control an animation of edge of assets to Captivate with postMessage.

    I know that this response is a few months late to the party, but if all goes well it helps or helps someone else who might be looking for a response to a similar problem.
