Captivate SCORM and WebCT

When I tried to post a file zip SCORM in WebCT 6.0, I received the following message is displayed.

"The package SCORM could not be imported because it does not respect one or several specifications in the package." The following error occurred: * error * line of analysis: 12 Message: cvc-complex - type. 3.2.2: attribute xsi: schemaLocation "" is not allowed to appear in the item "lom". If please inform the seller SCORM and try again once the problem has been resolved. »

I didn't know if he were a WebCT or Captivate question until I downloaded a player SCORM called RELOAD and opened the file in this program. I got the same error, as follows:

  • Captivate 7 and learn share LMS Quiz not reporting on results

Created a module quiz in 7 Captivate containing two questions pools and random question slides.  The results are not properly (LearnShare) LMS.  You can see the total result, but it seems to choose the number of questions randomly, he sends in return.  We have tried all possible combinations of settings and researched and researched and do not get anywhere.  The frustration is huge.  It is a 40 question quiz and the results are used by supervisors to train employees, therefore get accurate results.  We tried the same project to articulate Storyline and it works.  Is there anyone out there using Captivate 7 and LearnShare who can provide feedback on how to get the results to properly inform LMS?

I have it!  And yes it works in SCORM clouds so we did share the results with our LMS and put it on them to understand how they can make it work.  Thank you for your help.

  • Captivate 9 and storyboard

    Hello

I would like to know if some users of Captivate, create their storyboards of e-learning courses with this software?

In which is the case, the good practices that , or Captivate function do use?

    Thank you

    Chris.

Captivate 9 comes with an iPad app, which is labeled Captivate project and is often used for tables of Storyboard.

Sometimes I use the project for the Screenwriting, sometimes just paper and pencil or a digital equivalent, sometimes I'll do right now in first Grade. Both of

factors are important: complexity, customer, working alone or with a team to name but a few.

  • Official word on Captivate 8 and 10 of Windows?

    Hi all

I was wondering if there is no official word from Adobe on the compatibility between Captivate 8 and 10 of Windows yet?

    Thank you kindly,

    Nicole

I have not seen it mentioned in everything from Adobe so far. If it is not in the technical under system requirements specification, you must assume for the moment that Cp8 is NOT compatible.

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/Captivate/tech-specs.html

In the past, when new versions of a major operating system first came out, there was often problems with compatibility.  If you need to Captivate to work on your OS and it is critical to your day-to-day productivity, DO NOT rush in and install the latest OS and hope for the best.  Install an operating system is usually a street one-way (or at least VERY inconvenient for roll-back).

If it turns out that Cp8 does NOT work with Windows 10, past experience of similar questions (for example 6 Captivate with Windows 8) suggests that you could relate to upgrade to the next version of the Cp for compatibility. If a patch is released for the older compatible version, you can be waiting weeks or months for it.

  • Captivate 4 and Firefox / Chrome - Quiz advances without answers

    Hello

I hope someone can help me!

I have Captivate 4, and my quiz works fine in Internet Explorer.  I use hot spots, with random question slides, and it works fine when I run from Internet Explorer.  But when I launch Firefox or Chrome, the FIRST time I start the quiz, he shows the first question for just a few seconds and then advances.  However, it does not show anything for me click on advance and it becomes basically hung up.

If I then go back and re-launch the quiz on the same window, the test works very well and does not advance until I answered the question.  And the certificate at the end captures the score correctly, as well as the partition successfully sent to our database.

Here are some parameters (if all goes well I am providing those needed to solve the problem...)

    Properties of the question:
    classified
    allows the user a chance
    using hotspots

    Question SLIDE properties:
    Display time 5 sec
    no transition
    on the slide, enter continue

    publication parameters:
    Flash player 9
    ActionScript AS3

    updated the skin
    Exit e-Learning e-mail

    Preloader 100%

end of project actions: send e-mail

    Statement on

    allowing a move backward

display of score at the end of the quiz

    required: answer all

I have flash player 10 on my computer. Firefox 22.0. THAT IS TO SAY 10.0.9200... Chrome 28.0.1500.71

Looks like it is related to the version of actionscript or the flash player version.  Don't know who.  I put it to AS2, and the parameters for the flash automatically reverts to the version 9.  Re-released, on site, then reread reloaded in firefox.  Worked well, except for the certificate, which had flashing fields with no info by them.  Then maybe? This means that I need to find an OLD certificate to use?

  • Captivate 5 and Youtube low quality

    Hi guys,.

I just downloaded captivate 5 and I'm trying to put up a video...

I've included a few text boxes (click here, this part is what etc.), but the quality of the text is unreadable... I'm out in fixed rate, 30 frames per second, etc...

When the file is downloaded on youtube, it seems to go ok and I can play and select HD (720), but the quality is still low. Draft resolution is 1014 x 723 (don't know why I chose this resolution).

Also this text animations do not play on youtube or Adobe Media Player to the f4v format... (fixed frame rate)

Am I missing something? Any help really appreciated :-)

  • Search for a pdf document to our url from a Captivate project and back

I created an e-learning module in Captivate 4 and inside that I need for the user to look for a manual in PDF on our server.

Easy to create the link to the url, which is easy to make this work in the Captivate project and return to the project to continue when it is autonomous.

My problem is not that; I published the course in an LMS (EDOCEO Elearning Manager) probally especially unknown to everyone and it works perfectly except when you click on the link to the url because it opens the file very well, but when you close the file it also closes the project and you are at the default screen of the LMS.

    Any ideas out there

    Sincere love to all

    Ash

    Hey Ash,

Just an idea, not sure it will work. I assume you are using the action "Open a URL or file" on success. Click on the small triangle and choose New instead of the current window (maybe Top works too):

    Good luck

  • Need to upgrade to Captivate 4 and need answers before buy you!

I called sales, Adobe technical support and customer service, and no one seems to have an answer for me and they put me on hold for more than 15 minutes, so I'll try this forum for help.  So if the gurus Captivate out there can answer my questions I would be very happy.

Currently I have Macromedia Captivate 1 Education Version and want to upgrade to Captivate 4.

    1. in Captivate 1 if you create Flash demos, it creates an HTML file and a SWF file. I heard of someone who has the Captivate 3 that it creates now more than 2 files. Is this true for Captivate 4?

    2. I read in the comparison page version Captivate that Captivate 4 has the ability to convert your Captivate demo in PDF with Captivate 4. If so, the PDF will carry the 'demo' features or will it be a PDF standard?

    3. I have a Captivate 1 education version so it is less expensive to upgrade to Captivate 4 or just purchase Captivate 4 and Captivate 4 has a version of education?

    Thank you!!

    Hi again

Unfortunately, the answer to the question of the files number is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string.

At a minimum, you will see generally three files.

    • The HTML file that is used to present the film
    • The SWF file that is presented from the inside of the HTML file
    • A JavaScript file called standard.js

Under certain conditions, you can see other files. For example, perhaps you have made a few clicks and trolling the mouse while you were recording. Each of these likely results in additional SWFs. Or maybe you used a FLV in the film. Each FLV is normally a separate as well. Or maybe you have opted for the option "full screen" when you posted. Which would result in a second HTML file. If you use the feature of issue randomly, you define one or more Question Pools. Each Question Pool translates into an extra to include SWF.

I hope that answers the question for you better.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Captivate 3 and PowerPoint 2007

Creating a shockwave flash file in captivate 3 and try to insert it into a slide powrpoint play when I go to this slide. Seem to be following the instructions correctly, but when I move to the PP slike the flash will not play. Can help you with this question? Thank you very much!

    Hi there oneethan!

If plan A does not work, it is often faster direct access to Plan B (to avoid wasting time).

Why not import the PowerPoint in Captivate as a groundswell (or it just add a blank slide and import the PPT to JPEG background, then melt into the background - to accomplish the same thing), and then enter the file Flash in this context.

Because Captivate can import Shockwave Flash (SWF), or streaming video Flash (FLV), this should be quite doable, especially if you have problems to import the PPT slide with the embedded elements.

Insert Animation > navigate to and select the SWF file
    (or)
Insert Flash Video > navigate to and select the FLV file

Let us know if you need help, but I think maybe it's your most direct solution.

    Kind regards
    Larry

  • Captivate 3 and wink to adapt to application removed

    Hello

I have Captivate3, Vista, and it seems to have a problem described in the TechNote 1ba0d5a0 for Captivate 2 and 1.

"When you try to save a request, Adobe Captivate behaves unexpectedly. One of the following symptoms may appear:

    The application becomes reduced unexpectedly.
Slides recorded appear black in Adobe Captivate and in the output.
Maximize and minimize buttons are missing in Adobe Captivate.

The solution is to recreate a DAT file as described.

To correct this problem, re-create your configuration file of Adobe Captivate:

    Adobe Captivate output.
Navigate to the directory in Windows Explorer:
For Macromedia Captivate: C:\Documents and Settings\ [USER ACCOUNT] \Application Data\Macromedia\Captivate
    For Adobe Captivate 2: C:\Documents and Settings\ [USER ACCOUNT] \Application Data\Adobe\Captivate
    Rename the DAT file.
Restart Adobe Captivate; Adobe Captivate to create your configuration file.

However I don't find this in Vista. Anyone know?

    Hi all

I did a few tests more on that and the problem is when you use two monitors.

I created a few records with the "wink to the framework" on the other monitor. I then left Captivate and disconnected. Next day I went to a different site and just got my single laptop screen.

When I tried to do a new record, the nod to the framework was not visible, and when you use the snap to, the apllication recording disappears from the display. It seems that Captivate leaves the wink to the frame of the other monitor... even if you do not have another follow-up attached.

So it seems that if you use two monitors, make sure that you have the wink to the chassis on your primary monitor when you leave the Captivate.

  • Captivate, Flash and SCORM

I have a Flash (menu and navigation) wrapper which loads / playing external Captivate SWF movies to create a course.

When I publish the captivate with SCORM 1.2 films and run them individually, they make all calls expected SCORM for LMS. The Flash wrapper can also communicate with the LMS successfully.

BUT... when I play the Captivate movies in the Flash wrapper, films Captivate is no longer trying to call the SCORM LMS. (At least according to the SCORM compliance test suite)

My question is, should I expect it works? Or play the Captivate via Flash movies have I lost the ability to send Captivate for LMS interaction data?

    Thanks for your help.

Thank you, Andrew. Thank you for sharing your expertise.

Fbudd - sure, I'll do what I can. I will try to contact you offline.

  • Why Vimeo player o n t w o r k o n generated by Captivate SCORM file on Chrome/Android?

Our Captivate 9 Vimeo video files incorporated to work in SCORM outputs on Android phones, using the browser Chrome.

Now, the player controls are lost, and the closed captioning does not work when you view the video on the phone.  It is not a problem on IOS, nor is it a problem in the Chrome browser on a desktop.

Is this a known issue?  Y at - it a solution or a workaround?

My suggestion would be to submit a bug/feature request and see if this is something that adobe can solve it for you.
