• Issue of iOS 10 CarPlay

  Each update to iOS 10 and set to upgrade to the iPhone 7, CarPlay playlists being totally out of order.  In other words, although it lists the correct reading lists, the order of these playlists on the screen of the car are wrong.  I can play them in the right order so I it works through my phone, but it will play them in the wrong order if I try to run through the CarPlay screen.

  When running into problems with CarPlay, there are a few recommendations, but one that seems most useful will consult the car manufacturer for updates to the firmware.  It may be that since iOS 10 is released, the firmware must be updated as well.
  
  

  Get help

  If CarPlay does not work as you expect, here's what you can check. After each step, try to use CarPlay again.

  1. Make sure that Siri is turned on.
  2. Restart your iPhone and your car. Depending on your car, you can see the CarPlay home screen when you turn it on. If you do not, look for the CarPlay logo on the screen of your car.
  3. If possible, connect your iPhone to a different USB port in your car.
  4. Try a different lightning to a USB cable. Make sure that the cable is certified.
  5. Update to the latest version of iOS.
  6. Check the manual using your car. You may need to install updates of firmware for your stereo.

  This isn't.  All associated CarPlay is running on your iPhone directly.  I have CarPlay with a receiver of spare parts of my SUV and never setup or through the attachment.

• OS for HP Compaq dc7800p Convertible Minitowers boards

  I just bought a minitour Convertible HP Compaq dc7800p computer on the cheap.

  From what I see, it seems almost not modified from its original configuration. It has an Intel Core Duo E6550 2.33 GHz processor, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, a 80 gig HARD drive and DVD read/write.

  HARD drive appears to have already disappeared completely - not even a left system recovery partition - so, no OS.

  I ran HP Insight Diagnostics on it and everything passed the comprehensive test.

  Now that I am fairly confident that it will work properly, I need to choose an operating system. It comes with Vista Business and I can get a replacement from HP for $11.00 drive. I don't know what service packs, where applicable, the hot spare. This would be a factor because I am limited to 56 k modem and these service packs would take a loooong time to download. But, all things being equal, I'd rather have Windows 7 Premium. The problem is that all things are not equal! A copy of Windows 7 is around $90,00 of distributors such as Tiger Direct.

  I'm accustomed to Windows XP and have never used later versions of Windows. It is popular wisdom that Win 7 is greater than Vista in many ways, but it is $ 79.00?

  I want this computer to take over the online activities of my XP computer because XP is more dangerous. I'll keep my XP machine and put any contact with the outside world when I'm pretty confident with a new OS. The HP machine will not be called to lift heavy objects - but that could change over time, as the HP is easy to upgrade.

  Given the description of my situation, it would be more prudent to get Vista Business on Win 7?

  Extended support for Vista is scheduled for completion in 2017, where I would then face the same problem that I have now with XP and I would find myself looking for a new OS once again. Win 7 will be supported until 2020. In the coming years a new version of Windows will be better than Win 7 to the point where I don't want to change operating system before 2020? This HP computer will be obsolete before then as to makes it unusable?

  There are a lot of these questions without reply. The essential is that I'm a good sobbing market and I eventually get more for my money on a copy of $11,00 of Vista or $90.00 for Win 7?

  Hello:

  I have a dc7800 CMT (E8300 processor) that I bought for my wife and upgraded to W7 because I got an upgrade to W7 pro I used no license.  I installed 8 GB of PC2-6400 memory and use a graphics Radeon HD 6570.

  I have for all of Vista Business 64 bit recovery disc to restore the original operating system should I decide to donate or resell the PC some days.

  I had the other dc7800 CMT (processor E6850) for my mother and order the recovery disks Vista Business 32 bit for it.

  Now, you can have a choice of the floppies to install Vista Business 32 or 64-bit.

  The set of recovery disks you get should have included SP1 (mine do).

  Then you will just need to DL SP2.

  It was the first thing I did once Vista was installed before that I made another anytbing to download the Setup file of Vista SP2 Standalone directly from Microsoft.

  If you do not ever plan on installing more than 4 GB memory, then the set of 32-bit recovery diskettes will suffice.

  I put 4 GB of memory in the PC of my mother because I had 4 x 1 GB of PC2-6400 memory, laying around.

  Windows 7 is a better operating system.  I call it "Vista that works."

  But really the main differences are:

  1 Vista seems to use more memory to run than W7, so more memory, you can throw to Vista better it works.

  2. the disk defragment tool seems to take forever to work.

  3. a few other minor quirks which I was able to use a few settings to make it better.

  I have used many of the settings on the link below and my mother PC works fine on Vista Business 32 bit.

  I have disabled Vista Disk Defragmenter and use free Auslogics Disk Defragmenter that works just great.

  If I don't have a W7 license for use, I would have been perfectly happy under Vista Business dc7800 of my wife.

  I run Vista Business on an old notebook nc6400 and it works very well on that too.

  Then... IMO, I have just spend the $11.00 and go with Vista. If you like it, then you have saved $ 90 million.  If you have not, you buy W7, and you may have professional Vista recovery discs use one day as I want.

  A few final thoughts on the PC in general...

  1. make sure emulation sata in the BIOS storage section is set for RAID and IDE not.  RAID will be performing hard drive because it can take advantage of the native command queuing in RAID mode and it cannot in IDE mode.

  Many of the dc7800 are used in enterprise environments and have been downgraded to XP Pro. I would not be surprised if a large number of defined system IDE controller administrators when they set up their corporate images, because if they understand not drivers SATA RAID/AHCI necessary necessary in their corporate images for this and later models, their image it not install if the BIOS is set to RAID mode.

  If you have a Vista without SP1 and 2, DO NOT listen to Microsoft technicians and use auto update / windows update / microsoft update (until after you have installed SP1 & SP2).

  My recent experience and other posts, it won't work.  Manually download Vista SP1 and SP2 for Vista and install manually (SP1 first).  I lost hours with updates auto that I didn't need and made a mess.

  I just made a custom cleaning of a perfectly fine using a DVD of Vista Utilmate XP machine.

  After installation, he made the automatic updates ~ 106 and is now stuck on Vista SP1.

• CarPlay does not work after iOS10

  Until yesterday, I was using carplay with no issues whatsoever with my iPhone on my Peugeot 208 2016 5s. However, today, since the upgrade to iOS10, I simply can't use it. My iPhone displays the following message: "This accessory is not compatible with the iPhone" (I'm using an Apple cable brand, support that my car does not work in mind, with Bluetooth CarPlay), and my car shows "no audio files not found" (it looks that it identifies the iPhone as a USB key, rather than a smartphone).

  I have exactly the same problem. My iphone is a 6s and my car is a Citroen aircross 2017. After that 10 updated ios the carplay do not recognize my iphone. I live in the Brazil and I called the Citroen assistance and they said I have to wait until they update the software of carplay.

  However on play music - the two iTunes and Spotify music will play again for about 5 minutes then:

  Try these general steps. They could help.

  1 reset your iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake and home buttons.

  2 disconnect you from your iCloud account and reconnect again.

• CarPlay &amp; numbers with Extensions

  Hi all

  I have a question calling the phone numbers with extensions when connected to CarPlay. I have a lot of contacts with the extensions and phone numbers include a break and post numbers. Normally when you call these numbers using the phone only, or when you use a Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth in the car, the call connects, then composed the extension correctly to end the call.

  When I am connected to CarPlay and make the call through CarPlay, the call connects, but it is not dial and connect to the extension correctly. I even tried to add extra breaks, but it still does not work. Anyone else having this problem and have a solution?

  At this point, my only option is to disconnect the connection of lightning to CarPlay, wait for the phone to connect to the Bluetooth in the car, and then make the call using Bluetooth. It defeats the purpose of having CarPlay first.

  I use CarPlay in a Honda Accord from 2016 with an iPhone 7 running IOS 10. I had the same problem with my iPhone 6 s 9 IOS running.

  Update: genius of Apple confirmed this bug and asked newspapers to this question that I downloaded. If all goes well, they will have a fix in a future version of IOS 10. I'll give another update when I hear anything.

  Recently started using Apple Carplay.  When you use all my playlists are in alphabetical order and not the order I initially created my playlists.  Only, this seems to happen when you use Apple Carplay.  Does anyone know where I can go to change this setting, or if it's something that can even be changed?

  Same thing for me because I upgraded to iOS IOS 10.0.1 9.3.5 (build A 14, 403).

  If I manually choose a song from the music instead of the connected car, order screen iPhone app gets screwed on the iPhone itself.

  -The contrast is very bad. It is not easy to see the other roads

  -On the highway you'll see the road, just a vertical line, nothing around > This is not useful. I want to see how he is for the next round or my destination,

  -While driving and navigation time is enabled I can't zoom out.

  -For journeys over long routes maps suggests me are not the best.

  -Siri do not understand where I have to go,

  -More than one-stop? Well...

  -... and many more things real navigation systems or applications can do.

  Please at least improve CarPlay cards.
