  • How can I sync the playlist of Safari on my iPhone for Safari on my windows machine?

First of all, I must say that I was really happy to see Safari for windows! Thank you!!! Chrome and IE were all two overclocking my machine and the cooling fan will not turn off. I did the same 'stress test' with Safari and the memory usage is less than 25% of the other two.

On the question: How can I sync the playlist of Safari on my iPhone for Safari on my windows machine? I downloaded the iCloud (iCloud desktop application) Control Panel and updated all my information.

When I go in the Favorites section of the Control Panel, there is no option for Safari. The only options that are present are: Internet Explorer, Firefox (not installed), and Chrome. I did a lot of research, but can't seem to find a solution...

    Thank you!

  • Is there a higher trend now for Safari to be affected by the admalware and ransomware?

Now that I've updated for Safari 9.1, I meet a lot of frozen with MacKeeper.com Windows ads or other malware, whenever I use Safari.  I recently downloaded and benefit from Malwareabytes AntiMalwarsoftware, but why are now experience us this problem?  We can avoid it? e

It's not because Safari is now more vulnerable to these intrusions.

There is a to increase I injection adware developers and sellers.

Some publications depends on advertising revenues to support their operations.

'Free' content delivery is supported by advertising revenue.

There is no way to prevent this, other than to not visit these sites.

Once infected, you can remove it, but you can't prevent that from ever happening.

  • Update for safari for OS 7.5.5

I'm on OS 10.7.5. on a MacBook Air. Several major sites (banks) refused a connection without having to install an update for Safari because of security concerns. Latest version of Safari is 6.1.6. Software update does not display the updates available for Safari. Is there a place to find a download so I can still run with OS 7.5.5?

No, unless you go to a product such as Firefox.

  • How can I load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari?

Well, so I have a few questions structure displaying my Web site on Safari than Firefox. Is it possible to put a code in the < head > tag load a stylesheet CSS for Safari, as you can do with IE?

    Thank you.

I took a screenshot of your Firefox page (see below).  I guess you see the same problem in Safari.  If you increase one click of text size, the image of keyboard is less than #contact division.

    1) height is a restrictions in all browsers except IE.  Avoid using height values on containers with text in them.  If necessary to show a background image, use the min-height property.

    (2) correct your code. Some browsers are very sensitive to errors.

    (3) your #content lack of cohesion. You need 3 columns, each with a width in pixels.  Or just use a table with 3 columns.

  • Extensions: what ad block is best for Safari?

Safari extensions - so many choices: Adblock Plus, AdBlock, Adguard Ad Blocker, AdBlock Ultimate Adamant.

These are listed for the Version 9.1.1 (10601.6.17) Safari app that I use on a MacBook Air Yosemite 10.10.5.

Adblock Plus said that it blocks YouTube ads in the description but does not work and the instructions for the 'options' for this

are impossible to find on the website of Adblock Plus that they say contains them.

Any comments on the use of these ad blocking extensions? What is the best?

Thank you for you time and consideration.

My vote goes to the one who is not yet on your list: Ghostery. They have paid versions, but all you need is free of Ghostery.com

  • Limit memory for Safari?

Is there a way to limit the use of the memory of Safari?

This morning I found my system is not responding because a process of Safari had used all available memory and disk space (for the swap). The screen is locked, mouse movements began to record after a minute and the keyboard was unresponsive as well. I waited for several minutes without success.

I have connected remotely via ssh on the ipad and noted that a process of Safari used about 40 gigabytes of memory; which is about all the 8 GB internal memory and the about 35 GB of free space on the disk, I normally. In the end, I had to hard reboot the machine as same sudo shutdown - r now does not stop him...

To the point, it was a crazy amount of memory used and realistic anything over 2 GB would be a sign of a problem on a page already. Can I somehow limit the process of Safari to, say, 2 GB of memory?

PS: I tried to kill the process of Safari with the kill, with and without the sudo command, but the process remained. Is there another method to kill the command line?

PS2: Apparently, there is some javascript-clock world out there that is included in some pages that I visit that causes this. I was not able to identify the exact source of the problem.

All the web, even on Windows browsers I find leak memory like the proverbial sieve. Most of windows or tabs that you have open and the longer you run more memory is used and "leaked".

I'm not aware of a way to set a limit for a specific individual programme in terms of memory usage.

To kill the Safari via a Terminal session by using the kill command, you must first find its PID (process ID), it would be running the ps command, to help out you, I've included a grep command to filter the unique process you are looking for.

    ch - x | grep "Safari.app".

In fact lists two results, one the actual process of Safari, the other the command above itself that naturally contains Safari.app in command. You should then be able to

    sudo kill 1234-9

by replacing the correct number of PID.

However, there is another solution might be easier, who wants not to use kill command but rather use the command killall related as follows.

    sudo killall - c Safari.
