Center the text in the LabelField

I want to center the text in a label.  The label takes the entire width of the screen, but the text inside it will not focus.

LabelField lbl = new LabelField ("the centre", LabelField.USE_ALL_WIDTH |) LabelField.FIELD_HCENTER);

Am I missing something simple massively?

Thank you.

Try this:

LabelField lbl = new LabelField ("the centre", LabelField.USE_ALL_WIDTH |) DrawStyle.HCENTER);

  • Center anchor text by the expression

    Hello! This is my first post, so I'm sorry if I've caused a lot of facepalm.

    I wanted to center the anchor point of the text in an expression. What I did:

    X = this.sourceRectAtTime () .width/2;

    Y = this.sourceRectAtTime () .height/2;

    [X, Y]

    It almost does the job... However, there is a small gap. I tried to understand, and it seems that (0,0) of the anchor point does not correspond to the lower left corner, but instead has a small shift, usually less than 5. In addition, this shift seems to change depending on the font and text.

    How can I make an expression that tackling this problem and place the anchor point in the center of the text dead?

    Of course you can use monospaced fonts or design your own and simply add and subtract values, but disappeared completely, you'll always have situations where the visual cenrter has nothing to do with the calculated actual Center. Others you can find info without end about how the various parameters of the fonts and their relationships each n how to calculate them, but it is far from trivial, then I would advise against. In more than 15 years using AE I have never had the need nor the desire to enter into that kind of thing. It is much more important to find good fonts in the first instance, both in technical and aesthetic sense.

  • How to vertically Center the text in its container

    If a button or a piece of text, I don't see any way to center the text you type * vertically * in the container.  I'm not talking in the item box.  I mean just the text element itself.  If I size a text box and start typing in it, I should be able to say centered vertically.  That's what I'm looking for anyway.   Help much appreciated.

    Text items cannot be centered vertically as they are not containers. However, you can fake that a very big little thanks to the row height. But this means that if you have a text that spans two lines it would be very remote however

  • Center the text in the TextField

    Is there a way to center the text in the text field? Especially vertically.

    Text in a TextField is centered vertically by default.
    You can change other charactistics of the alignment of the text in the TextField object through the setAlignment API.

    import javafx.application.Application; import javafx.geometry.Pos;
    import javafx.scene.Scene; import javafx.scene.control.TextField; import javafx.stage.Stage;

    public class TextFieldAlignment extends Application {
      public static void main(String[] args) { launch(args); }
      @Override public void start(Stage stage) {
        TextField text = new TextField("Centered."); text.setAlignment(Pos.CENTER);
        stage.setScene(new Scene(text, 200, 300));
        stage.show();
      }
    }

    Alignment TextField API is new to JavaFX 2.1 and not included in JavaFX 2.0, so use the last glimpse of JavaFX Developer:

  • Try to center the text in a text box

    I just upgraded to InDesign CS2 to CS4. I'm trying to center the text vertically within a text box. I remember in CS2 that there are three different buttons, one that would Center it at the top, one that would Center the text in the middle and one on the bottom.

    If anyone knows where these buttons is gone, it is much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Ah! There they are... on the control panel (when the frame is selected with the tool collection... rather than having a direct insertion point). They are pretty far to the right. If your screen size is such that not all features to adapt, they can get cut.

  • Center the < a > text

    Hello

    I would like to center the text of a link between the top and the bottom of a div tag  Somewhere, I am able to change the left and right margins, but nothing happens when I change the top and bottom margins.  I tried a < p > tag, but that's a lot more space than I wanted to.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

    See you soon,.

    P.S. Here is a link to the page - http://www.freddoubleday.com/listen.html.  The text I'm trying to Center is the underlined text.

    Add line-height: 36px; to your "title" css class, like below:

  • Is it possible to center the text between any set of verticle lines displayed by the grid?

    I try to be attached to the specific tasks on this background that I use, I turned the grid text. I put the text at specific locations a lot. So it would be a lot easier and faster if I could just automatically center the text between the lines of the grid, rather that manually fiddling with it.

    well commented in this case might get you where you want to go.

    But if you either point frame type or text, it is quite easy to do.

    Turn on snap them to grid from the view menu

    Draw a rectangle to one of the lines of the grid to another (with no fill and no optionsl race)

    then place the text on the rectangle, turn off align it on the grid.

    in the attribute align select on align by object key select the text and the rectangle, click on (with selection) on the rectangle to make the object key (do not hold down the SHIFT key).

    Then in the Align Panel choose horizontal or vertical alignment icon.

    Vertically align the text means that a block of text has close text and even at that it is often subjective if you may need to reposition for a Visual
    accepted balance and sometimes it's true Center horizontal alignment according to the size and utilization of the text.

    Oh Yes after you Center the text you can delete the rectangle.

    Try to make the switch

    #mytable td

    Since this is the table cell that you really want to have this property.

  • Center the text in the text field in report

    Good evening! Before leaving for the day, I still want to ask you another question.

    I have a relationship with a column of type "text field. The user must be able to enter data and overwrite the values brought fourth by the report query. Subsequently, he (it must have the ability to save information entered into a table. I think that should be possible, right?

    The problem, I could not understand is pretty simple, I think - I want that text to be centered and used entry fields
    <style="text-align: center">
    for the html element attribute option. However, in vain. It is even possible to apply the provision to center the text in a text input field?

    Maybe you have an answer for me. I would be grateful!

    Best regards

    Sebastian

  • I'm a novice-how I Center the copy on a 6500 a Plus

    How to center the print on my main-outs? It starts on the side right of the and ends on the left.

    No problem.

    Instead of using Notepad, please try WordPad. You will find the notebook is very basic and does not have the option to allow you to Center your text.

    You can highlight your text from Notepad and paste it into WordPad, and then with her all highlighted, click the Center icon. WordPad has many more formatting options.

    It is quite possible, I get too many details, with instructions to copy / paste and so on, but I thought it would be better to have too much than not enough details. Yes, I'm the kind of girl who packs a value of weeks of clothes for a 1 night trip

  • Question when the LabelField or DateField layout() method override

    Hello

    I add a LabelField to a VerticalFieldManager.

    I want set a fixed width for LabelField, trying to override the method of layout as follows:

    LabelField label = new LabelField ("some textToShow") {}

    public void layout (int width, int height) {}

    super.setExtent (40, 50);

    }

    {} public void paintBackground (Graphics g)

    super.paintBackground (g);

    }

    };

    Result: Gets text LabelField disappear, I try to draw a rect with the width and height, it displays the Manager, but I'm not able to view the text that I'm passing with the LabelField, similar happened with DateField too.

    I don't want to create a completely custom field, I want to just set the width of my choice and height as what is already to have that is to say the default height.

    Please let me know how to do this, what I am doing wrong.

    Please, it is urgent and let me know your comments.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Aparna

    I solved.

  • On the size of the button, change the labelfield

    I was wondering if I could create. I guess I have to put this in my custom button fields.

    In any case, I want to have a labelfield wide screen at the top of the screen that changes its text each time that a change of focus button. As if I had 3 buttons, 1 button would have the labelfield say 'Hello' or something, button 2 'Hi' etc... I don't want the actual clicks to make a completely different use that is already in place. Is this possible?

    Thank you

    You have not even create custom fields - those regular will do just fine.

    What you need, however, is a FocusChangeListener. I would put on the Manager with all the buttons. FOCUS_GAINED and FOCUS_CHANGED, analyze the Manager getLeafFieldWithFocus() and, if it's one of your buttons, change the text on the LabelField using setText. On FOCUS_LOST, restore the LabelField of the original text.

    One of the 'cool' possibilities: have a look at the Field.setCookie and Field.getCookie methods. If you setCookie on all your buttons (with the text that you want to appear in the LabelField when this button gets focus), you can then getCookie just on the sheet with a focus on the ground and, if it is not null, use the value (you don't even have to cast to a String, but check beforehand to avoid exceptions) for on the LabelField setText.

    To summarize, you must:

    (1) FocusChangeListener with focusChanged properly defined;

    (2) setFocusListener on your Manager with the buttons;

    (3) on your LabelField setText.

    (4) potentially setCookie on your buttons and inside focusChanged getCookie.

    I hope it's clear enough for you to implement. Enjoy!
