Certification VCP5-DV help

Hi all

I intend to give to the VCP5-DV certification exam for which I already take classroom training.

My coach suggested me to the study of the book of Scott Lowe to pass certification, but because of the time window, I am preparing to

study the official guide to Certification of VCP5 (VMware press Certification)

Is this book enough to pass the exam.

Thank you.

You need the plan review, documentation and a good amount of practice with the software works through the objectives in the management plan.

If you want more information about what he should expect the review and some other links/advice may be useful, click on the VCP5 tab on my blog: http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com

  • VCP5 Recertification help please...

    Hi all

I'm looking to recertify my VCP5-VTC and have barely got round to watching it.  I have until December 2015 but had time to work on that now.  I asked for and received approval for the VCP6 Delta, but think I left it at the end of what I'm reading?  PearsonVue site keep crashing on me, so cannot confirm!  I liked the opportunity to renew this cheaply with the Delta review.

A requested and received approval for the examination of VCP550 Delta but know a lot about this, it is a test to open online book?  What is the cost of this?  New site PearsonVue is to be a nightmare, so cannot really see costs and options of programming.

    Thank you

    Dan

Delta VCP6-VTC 2V0 review - 621D was in beta, but I think that the beta period has just ended - review final delta is expected to be launched in July and August, I expected.

You will always have to "renew cheap" with the final review of delta - no courses required, just a single review, and you will earn VCP6-VTC but also quite your VTC VCP5.

If you do not wish to recertify now, you can do it with VCP550D, or you could take a PCV in a different technology area, or push you to level VCAP.

VCP550D is taken online from any location.

  • VCA - VTC Ferryman - the process of Certification VCP5.5

    Hello guys,.

I spent my VAC - DCV (path VMware5.5) last March 2015 and summer see much new in vSphere 6.0 examinations were published and released.

I concentrate in vSphere 5.5 and wondering if still worthwhile to continue my preparation followed by certification for VCP5-VTC since vSphere 6.x (VTC-VCA6 / VCAP6-VTC are released?)

Thanks for your advice in advance!

    -VM_JOf

If I were you, I'd go for VCP6-VTC - you'll need to take a course of vSphere 6 and will find these abundant provide already - by the time you're ready final exams (2V0-620 and 621 - 2V0) must be released.

  • Certification VCP5-VTC

    Hello

I would like to ask some questions about the program VCP5-VTC.

    (1) I must first of all win the VCA - VTC cert goes prior to the VCP5?

    (2) is the mandatory VCP5-VTC course?

On the 2nd question, I don't have enough money for the course so I can entirely rely on self-study since I was 10 years of experience in the information TECHNOLOGY sector, I really can't go to class. I have all the gear necessary for my practical training.

    Thank you

    Yes its need.

And NO, they won't ask you for evidence. You can take up the certification even without authorized VCP course but your certification will be complete and you will not receive a certificate until you have completed the training.

Think of it as a two-step process to obtain certification. Even if it is not completed, you will not be done.

  • Pre - Req courses before registering for the workshop course for certification VCP5-VTC (confusion)

    Dear all,

I intend to attend examinations VCP5-VTC and all through vmware site I found to attend this certification, must complete one of the courses of training to get the pre - req certificate. One of the pre - req given on the site is "Trouble Shooting Workshop", when I checked the details for this course, it is said below pre - req.

Prerequisites include completion of one of the following:

    • VMware® Certified Professional 5 - virtualization data center (VCP5-VTC)

    • VMware vSphere: Fast Track [V5.1]

    • VMware vSphere: optimize and scale [V5.1]

Administration and knowledge equivalent • experience with ESXi and vCenter Server

Experience with the work on the command line is strongly recommended

I need to know if I'm not VCP5-VTC and also did not attend the Fast Track or optimize and scale, I can't save for the course of the workshop? I must firstly fill Fast Track OR optimize and only then I'd register myself in over course "Workshop" scaling?

    Please specify.

    Kind regards

Technically, anyone can book themselves on the workshop, but the advanced/content issues are not really suitable for those who meet these prerequisites listed - those who do not know how what is fast track and Optimize classes & scale would have difficulty with the workshop.

You don't HAVE to be a VCP5 VTC either, but if you are then you will be at a level equivalent to a person who did the FT/O & S classes - that's why certification is listed as an alternative condition, as well as the "equivalent knowledge and experience.

  • Fact reading ACE certification study guides help me understand photoshop?

There are many tutorials online teaching people how to do this and that; but for a beginner like me, the biggest problem is, I can follow the recipes, but most of the time, I do not understand the reason behind them. I wonder if these things will become more obvious and intuitive if I first fundamental knowledge tools.

Adobe seems to give certification exams.  I wonder if it would be useful to buy a study guide review and read it through (not necessarily go for the certification).  All the world does?  This guide is the best? Or do these guides are just more advanced revenue without explaining anything either?

I suggest you look at Adobe classroom in a book Photoshop CS5, Adobe Press.

He did a good job to share the 'why', almost as much as the "how". I think that too many books and tutorials skip the why, while focusing on the how. Many of the ACE questions come the examination material of chapter, which takes the form of Q & A.

    Good luck

  • VCP5-VTC review managed after the end of training for vsphere 4. Certification reflects again. Help, please

    Hi gurus,

    I have VCP5-VTC review successfully completed on July 31, 2014. I have already certified VCA5-VTC, WM-VCA5, VCA5-Cloud

I also attended Vsphre 4.1 training. Now my question is that I have not received my certification VCP5-VTC, so I contact ceriticition vmware support, said, must still complete the following prerequisites option 2

    2. If you are not a VCP level certified, but attended a class of qualification VCP4-VTC (VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage [V4.x], VMware vSphere: [V4.1] Bootcamp, VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting [V4.x], VMware vSphere: Advanced Fast Track [V4.x], VMware vSphere: Fast Track [V4.1] Automation),

You must attend one of the following courses and the examination of the VCP5-VTC.
-VMware vSphere: What's New [V5.x] (2 days, version with instructor)
-VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage [V5.x].

-VMware vSphere with operations management: Fast Track

I would like to know how VMWare to approve my request for review with control of the pre - requisites.i past VCP510-VTC, will I get the certificate if I completed the required course [VMware vSphere: what's new [V5.x] training (two days, version with instructor)] or I have to retry the exam after completion of the training. Can any gurus here to respond? Feeling Disturbed.

  • VCP5-VTC certification?

I want to do the certification VCP5-VTC, but im not sure how much I need to know to have a chance to make it, perhaps someone could point me in the right direction.

    I finished these 2 courses

    vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]

    vSphere: optimize & chelle [5.5]

Yes, you can always take a review - VCP510 relies on vSphere 5.0/5.1 and VCP550 is on vSphere 5.5.

Your presence on the course should have been followed by the training provider, you should see the on your myLearn transcript - head to this page and you sign in to your account: VMware education

  • Renew expired certification

So now that may 08 has passed and I'm guessing a lot of holders of VCP have expired certifications, what is the way to renew these?

Looking at the certification VCP5-VTC page, is unclear:

Track 1: It all started with Data Center Technologies

    Nope, already had a VCP4/5.

Track 2: If you have a valid secure Channel certification.

No, it has expired, so not valid (I guess?). This seems more destined to the update of VCP4 anyway.

Track 3: you have completed a 5 day course that qualifies for the VCP4-VTC Certification, but has failed to meet the DCV VCP4 exam.

Yet once more to hold VCP4, but again not relevant to someone who had a VCP valid

Track 4: If you are a current VTC VCP5 who took the exams VCP510 and must now obtain a new certification.

I guess that's the closest, so until September 30, we can make the delta review to validate our current expired certificates?

Without doubt, if we wanted to get VCP6 then we would either need make what's new course, or have a valid VCP5 and review of VCP6 (currently in beta, but I guess there will be overlap normal ~ 6 months without requirement of course)

Expiration of your certification, you must meet the requirements of training and pass a test.  Training requirements for the VCP550 include vSphere 4 CIM + what's new 5.5.

  • Requirements to the review VCP5 - VTC (VCP550)

    Hello

I attended this training session VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage [V5.1] in June 2013. And now I want to spend the VCP5-VTC review vcp550. I asked for a permission that has been validated. However, I wonder if I can really do this review because in this link https://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457 & ui = www_cert , I saw that the requirement is this course vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]. can someone answer me please?

You are very well - the web page is usually updated to show the latest version of the class.

You can take exams VCP510 or VCP550 - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, while VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5 - submitting a review you will win the same certification VCP5-VTC.

  • Doubt certification VCP-Desktop

    Nice day

I am already certified VMware 5.1 and 5.5 data center virtualization, made the official course.

    My doubts and what follows

I need to do to make the official courses for VCP-desktop?

    Thank you for your attention

    Become a certified VCP5-DT

There are two ways to earn your certification VCP5-DT.

    Path 1

    1. A course of qualification

    2. Pass the VMware exam VCP-Desktop (VCPD510)

    Path 2

    1. Hold a valid level VCP certification
    2. Pass the examination to VMware View (VCP510-DT) or examination VCP-Desktop (VCPD510)

If you go for track 2, there is no need to go to any course:

  • VTC VCAP certification requirements

    Hi all!

Requirements on certitfication to VCAP-VTC on vSphere 5.1 consists of only one requirement: have a VCP5 VTC. It is logically.

But what I need to do if in August 2012, I already passed the VCP510 examination?

Do I need to review at VCP5-VTC and if yes, what is the significance of review a very similar review?

VCP510 is the examination for certification VCP5-VTC.

If you meet the requirements of VCP5-VTC training (as defined in http://www.vmware.com/go/vcp ) then you must already hold that certification and meet the prerequisites for VCAP5 - DCA both DCD (there is no VCAP-VTC).

  • VCP5 required for the exam VCP5-DT?

Anyone know if it is necessary to take the VCP 510 exam before taking the exam VCP5-DT to see?

    http://myLearn.VMware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=28343 & UI = www_cert

    I have read conflicting information...

    Thank you

    romatlo

You need the VCP5 Certification to obtain the Certification VCP5-DT.   I think you can take the exam when you want.

  • VCP5 Store?

    Hi community VCP,.

I recently received my certification VCP5 and I can't access the SECURE store to pick up everything cool swag. A few questions...

    1. is there a VCP5 store, or just the VCP4 store (or Collect store in general)?

    2. those of you who have access to the store, how long did it take to do? Do you have it at the same time as your welcome pack or did take a while?

3 when I connect to the VCP portal, all I see are VCP4 Logos (including VCP5 logos) section and a link on the right to the VCP4 store. Is this normal, regarding what you should see in the portal? (For the record, by clicking the link VCP4 store gives me an invalid request and said that I do not have access.)

    Thanks in advance!

    Fix.

You are missing much, there just 3 shirts in there (2 polo, 1 button upward) who say VCP4 on them.

  • Function of certification and OCA rest

Hello, I am a student at OCA certification and need help to understand the rest function works.

    I read that the remainder (m, n) (http://www.techonthenet.com/oracle/functions/remainder.php) is calculated as: m - (n * X) where X is the closest whole number of m / n.

    I ask: why rest (12.5,5) = 2.5?

    In my view, the result should be > > > rest (12.5,5) = 12.5-(5 * [l'entier le plus proche de 12.5/5])=12.5-(5*3)=-2.5.)

Thanks for your replies. Kind regards.

  • If n1 = 0 or m2 = infinite, then Oracle returns

  • An error if the arguments are of type NUMBER
NaN if the arguments are of BINARY_FLOAT and BINARY_DOUBLE types.
  • If n1! = 0, then the rest is n2 - (n1 * N) where N is the integer nearest n2/n1. If n2/n1 is equal to x.5, N is the nearest integer pair .

  • If n2 is a floating-point number, and if the remainder is 0, then the sign is the sign of the n2. Remains of 0 are not signed for NUMERIC values.
