Certified PDF not opening for some versions of adobe reader
Hello
I created a PDF with form fields and adds a valid certificate.
Until the certificate has been added, I am able to open the pdf file.
However, after adding the certificate, I am unable to open the pdf file.
The version I use is Adobe Reader 11.0.9.
How can I get the pdf certified to open with the same speed as the one without?
Is it possible to bypass security improvement without changing the settings adobe (i.e. Mode disabling protected or disable enhanced security)?
Is it possible to bypass using JavaScript?
Note: I tried with Adobe Reader 11.0.11 as well and could not open the PDF so certified.
Using versions earlier is not an option because it does not allow to save the PDF with form fields.
Use other software is not an option as well. I just want to work with Adobe Reader.
This confirms my theory that this "slowness" is due to some expire CRL/OCSP to certain layers of the network.
If you can ask your admin whitelist access to these URL CRL and OCSP endpoint on your local network, so that these URLS are not blocked, that should help solve the problem. With the details that you already have, it should be quite clear to her what needs to be done.

I can't install the more recent version of adobe reader!
I tried often to install the latest version of adobe reader in order to read all my books, but after uninstalling the version I had installed so I could not install the latest version of adobe reader at all!

New York requires the fulfillment of its RP-5217-PDF form for all real estate closings. The form automatically generates a bar code. My office uses Apple/Mac computers and the barcode appears in all versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat Pro before DC. DC watch version the form without a bar code. The form is available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/pdf/current_forms/orpts/rp5217.pdf is there a preference setting in DC that I'm missing, or is broken for the most recent version of the Adobe on a Mac? Help, please.
I thought it was resolved in the continuous version of Acrobat and Reader, but maybe not... You can report the problem here: feature request/Bug Report Form
A workaround would be to upgrade to XI player for now. I agree this is a major issue and hope Adobe will solve it soon.

FindKeyStrings does not return for some languages
I used FindKeyStrings to get the keys to language and have no problem with European languages.
I have the LanguageWithVendors loop and used FindKeyStrings (language) to get the correct keys to build XML code to the idml files and fail with the rare languages such as Gujarati (India), Bengali (India), etc.
My results to the languageWithVendor default. When the name fail.

I think that the problems with certain languages like Gujarati (India) are known bugs.
At least, I reported the following bug in may 2014 (not yet determined). It was with ExtendScript:

Solution of workaround for the international version of InDesign:
Use the value of property icuLocaleName of the Indian language.
Warning: This isn't a work around for the local InDesign as versions for example. German, where different languages share the same value of icuLocaleName.
BTW. Better, this issue is addressed in the InDesign scripting Forum.

Thank you. When I went back to look at the version that I realized that I've changed my default to the reader. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. So I changed my default and I'm good to go.

I suspect that you have created a snapshot on your model. It is not supported, if you delete the snapshot so that the .avhd is merged to the vhd/vhdx and update the model in vWorkspace again. If this does not work, you will need to delete the model of vWorkspace and then re-import.

Is what I understand, once you have downloaded all the files that have been changed to a PDF icon Adobe Reader software. Am I wrong?

As mentioned earlier all scripts have been closed on with error Timed out (3750000): Exception interrupted during autoconfiguration.
The problem solved because I forgot to mention there was conflict of resources on the application server in which grep.exe (process of almost 10/12) were consuming most of the cpu and memory. Had to restart the server to get rid of this process. Once done, there is no contention and autoconfig completed successfully. Compiled by the suite of jsp and the services started. Got the login page and work fine now. Thanks for your help. Nice day...

Looking for an older version of Adobe Reader

I know it is not the right place to ask but I'll give it a shot anyway. We need to install a software client/server exam which seems to be linked to a specific version of the Adobe Reader (ie. 6.0) software during installation.
I have contacted the software support and they recommended I should roll back to Adobe Reader 6.0 to satisfy the dependency hard just for the installation. After installation, I can install the latest version of the player.
This is far from ideal, but there is no other choice. We use this platform to review.
Now I can not find any place where I could download the 6.0 version. I came across some sites, but they looked a bit dodgy. Is there an official of (semi) archived versions of Adobe Reader source so that I can download the version 6?
If not, can you recommend a website that won't budle with malware, etc.. ?

Do you mean when you open the PDF in different versions of Adobe? BEEP always generates the Spec 1.4 (5 Adobe)
All margins or left and right. BEEP generates PDFS for the same features as the model used IE letter paper in MSWord will generate a letter PDF format. If different PDF readers are making it differently, then it is down to the version of Adobe Reader.Tim

At the old version of adobe reader and upgrade inadvertently WAA CD player. realized that I could change is no longer with this and tried to uninstall and reinstall and older versiono, but could not. Tried to reinstall the domain controller new version and it would not, indicating that the newer Version is already installed. Nothing in programs and features.
Looks like a job for the cleaning tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs.
If you prefer XI player, make sure that "Install updates automatically" is not enabled under Edit > Preferences > Updater. It is possible to download and apply patches manually.
