• Flight Simulator FS9.cfg file does not accept the changes

  I am running Msft FltSim2004 under Windows 7 Professional. I had to make additions to the FS9.cfg file (it takes changes in txt in Notepad). It is a hidden file located in C:\Users\{my name} \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FS9. After that I have to make the changes and close the file, and restart FltSim, I still get the error that the change was supposed to eliminate FltSim. When I check FS9.cfg, the change I've made is no longer there.

  I changed all the c:\ folder permissions down to FS9, as well as the permissions in the FS9.cfg file. But it still does not accept the changes. Everything else works fine under Win7. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

  Art,
  Try to copy the file to your desktop (or another folder), and then delete one located in the FS9 folder.  Make the changes to the copied file and simply save it to the new location.  Reopen the case to check the changes remained, and then copy it in the FS9 folder and test.  Let us know the results.

• Cannot save the added text to the. CFG files.

  Hello! I am new to Windows 7 (as is practically everybody, because how it's a new operating system...) and I'm currently under Flight Simulator X Deluxe Edition. In the past, on my XP machine, I liked adding items of scenery, aircraft repainted, etc., and in order to introduce the aircraft repaints, text lines must be added to a certain .cfg file located in one of the folders landscapes. My problem is that although I can open and view the contents of the .cfg file, when I add the new text and you try to save, I get an "Access denied" error message. It just doesn't allow me to save! This single action is the only thing in the way of enjoying me the use of the scenery file that I recently downloaded. Any advice on how to bypass this annoying problem would be great! I've already traveled through the administrator functions and tried to open the .cfg file in Notepad and wordpad, but without success.

  Press the windows key, type in Notepad, click with the right button on the notebook, run as long as administrator, open your Notepad file, modify, save.

  OK, so I have FSX. I'm having a little program called "Aerotow. To run, you must Access the FSX.cfg file in My Documents and Settings folder.
  But access to this file is denied.
  The most funny thing is - I can access the folder without problem. Open it and sail away. But my system seems to have blocked Aerotow.exe and configure.exe to access this folder. It's VERY frustrating. How can I access this folder? Why the program is blocked?

• Android.cfg file not created - BB10 Push Notification

  I'm enbaling push notification in my android app BB10 runtime. I'm following this doc to implement the push. I developed the Android using Novell project. I tried different ways to create the file cfg under bar.

  1. Before you create the apk, added the cfg file in the root of the project name of the application (tried naming as android.cfg also).
  2. Using this apk, I generated the .bar file, but Android folder, res folder and apk file do not exist, cfg file is not exist.
  3. Then I tried to add file cfg under bar file after you have created the apk but before signing bar leader, but I started getting the following error:

• How can I change a cfg. file on Flight Simulator?

  I need to change the file cfg for a plane in Flight Simulator X to increase the power of the brakes. Laptop will allow me to change the line of code in the file, but when will saved leaves me no copy / paste to replace the original code. Windows 7 seems to be designed to block changes to the files. We call her "Auntie" as my aunt always knows better and we naughty "children" shouldn't be messing with the files.   Open Notepad as administrator, right click on the Notepad icon, and then select run as administrator.

  Then open your .cfg file in Notepad. You should now be able to edit and save it.

  The script is unable to add the user. I thought 'users' has been the default group to specify. I created the password encrypted using the OpenSSL tool on ESX box. The syntax I used was:

  As I know, that you don't have a choice as to the creation of the group. This is the default action and all users who have created a group of corresponding with the same name as the user are also created.

  useradd user_name-p password

  Should be all you need to put in the ks to get what you need.

• Reading text file issues

  Hi all

  Long the time lurker, first time poster , like the forums here.

  I'm still new to BB development, so my approach may be the issue.

  I am applying for a deck of cards popular (utilities etc.).  I have a text file with the number of card games n, followed by n lines with 3 character code set and then the number of cards in the game.  I'm trying to use it to create a string array and an array of integers with the size of the number of reading games, then read the rest of the values in a loop to their respective indeces.

  I have read several articles on the forums here, and I can't seem to find a way to do it.  I am able to get the number of games using the:

  I presume that your dataset is all text and not a combination of binary and text?

  There is no easy way to split a sequential string of data.  Most people, when you consider a dataset like this, would introduce formatting, such as XML, JSON or even CSV, to make the data easier to analyze.  Since you don't seem to have anything, then I think you're going to cross the characters at once...

  If you use only standard ASCII, then it would be more effective to go through the array of bytes.

  Otherwise put characters of separation in there and look for using some tokeniser.  It is not a standard, but there are whole number (including at least one on the forum of the memory).  In addition I see StringUtilities - you might be able to use one of its features for tokenized your channel.

  C:\Users\(your user name) \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

  AppData is a hidden file.

• VBAI 2012 "save the image calibrated to the file" issue

  Under the State of 'Calibrate Image', 'Save the image calibrated to the file' option does not work correctly.

  With the exception of the type 'Point of Distance' of the calibration, the new image is ever recorded. I checked the calibration image .cal2 in the folder \ProgramData\National Instruments\Vision AI\Calibration Builder, each iteration the meta-data are updated but not the image.

  I have a camera calibrated with a grid (see picture) and using the model of the distortion. Working remotely can sometimes change and I need to take a recalibration. This step should be as simple as possible. Example: put a model calibration in the field of view, then press a button recalibrate.

  The problem mentioned above, it is impossible. Whenever I have to manually go into the choice of the State of the Image calibrate and update the calibration image myself. Otherwise, calibration is recalculated from the original image which is not best suited for the new working distance.

  Is there an easy way to make VBAI save a new image of calibration with each iteration?

  Or is it something that I did not understand this option 'save image calibrated to the file?

  Unfortunately VBAI does not support the suggested behavior. The best solution in my opinion would be to implement your application completely in LabVIEW!

• File issues

  Sending files in windows mail. the attachment that actually got was a former "modification date" then that I show on my hard drive (i.e. that I slipped into my new e-mail message).  I also noticed when I have a zip file, remove the file zip file, this is an old file then one I put in the zip.  I ran check disk and didn't find any problems.  Please help, I can't send the correct recently recorded file to my client.

  Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

  Do you have you open that file from your hard drive and edited? or you just opened it right of the email?
  If you open the file directly from the attachment, the file that you have edited is just a temporary file and no change will not save to the disk on your hard drive but rather save a temporary file in the Temp folder and will be gone once you've closed.
  Open the file before you send it and make changes to the files was saved.
  Also, make sure that the location of the file is the same when you zip and does not duplicate any file in another location.

Is there a way I can even overall all data from the disk 2.5? PS I am logged as administrator. hope you can help.
