  • to change the Administrator Microsoft e-mail address

I connected my new PC with windows 8 as an administrator and now I need to change my gmail address I gave on behalf of Microsoft. But system does not allow me to do. How I can change it or how can I start over?

    Hi Myriam.

Thank you for choosing Windows 8 and give us the opportunity to help you.

After the description of the question, I understand that you want to change the e-mail address of the user account Gmail.

Before I continue, I would answer you a few questions to help us understand the question.

    1. you want to delete your Gmail account that you have added the Microsoft account?

2 do you want to update something in your Gmail account?

    3. don't you want to change the e-mail address of the Gmail account?

You can make changes and change the user name of the Gmail account that you use to connect to the computer. But for this you must first switch local account and then login there. Then you need to go back to the Microsoft account again. Now it will prompt you to enter the user name. Here you can change the user name address and follow the on-screen instructions.

Now if you want to use the Mail application, then you must configure the original Gmail account in the application. But you will receive a verification email and you will have to respond accordingly. But if you want a account with the new user name Gmail and password, you will need to create a new account on the Gmail page and then you can sync it in Mail or any other application. But you will receive an email to verify your account again. Then you need to click Verify , and then click Ok.

  • Need to change the username on the microsoft account

last year, I used my email to set up an account to Microsoft for laptop of my daughter (go to College).  Now, I need to use my email to set up a Microsoft account for me to use the features of 8.1 of Windows on a new computer laptop, I just bought.  For example if I want to use the mail on W8.1 client it forces me to set up a Microsoft account because I don't want to link this machine the software licenses for my daughter's account, etc..  HOW CAN I CHANGE THE USERNAME ON HIS ACCOUNT SO I CAN USE MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO MY NEW ACCOUNT GAME?

If you connect to http://account.microsoft.com , you would be able to change your email address.

One way would be to pass account to your Microsoft Account daughter portable Local account and then use create new Microsoft Account for her and connect with her

However, you connect with your account in your PC and then your bet as you wish.

  • Change the password of my Microsoft account and verification of accounts

I'm trying to change the password of my Microsoft Account - I have received through my secondary e-mail address verification code - but it doesn't work, I tried a few times, actually 4 times. But it doesn't always they say the verification code is incorrect and I am sure that I put the Code right. Why can't I just reset or change my password. It's very simple.

    Hello Ross,

Please provide an opportunity to help on Microsoft Community.

Have you tried to use the mobile phone number to receive the verification code?

I understand that it could get frustrating if you are not able to verify your account, but be assured that we are here to help.

Ideally, the verification code that is sent to alternate Email ID works to change the password of the Microsoft Account. You can also receive the verification Code using the Mobile phone number.

Please enter your phone number to receive the verification code, then check if you can change the password for Microsoft Account.

Check the items to help Microsoft provided below for more information on how to receive the verification on Mobile phone code.

  • I recently changed the password on my Microsoft Account (aka Windows Live ID) and I can't connect is no longer in silver version Sunset

I recently changed the password on my Microsoft Account (aka Windows Live ID) and I can't connect is no longer silver bed version of Sun.

I tried both my old and new passwords several times. I checked that I use the correct password by signing in Outlook.com; MSN.com; etc - they all work, but I can not connect cash

The problem is solved (for me at least) but not the way you suggested.

First of all, some information more:

It seems that the problem is that the local file (on my hard drive) of MS Money had an old password set in cache, and he was unable to recognize that the password has been changed (in the cloud) and so it must use this new password as a valid key to open the file.  It was weird - MS Money knew had changed my password (it wouldn't accept my old password) but he didn't have to use the new password either.

I think it's partly because the silver Sunset version was never to be 'online' and in fact there are some recommendations when you install Money Sunset to stop using a Microsoft Account (and password) and just use a local (for this file only) user name and password if you wish.

In any case, I was able to work around this problem by:

    [a] disconnected from the internet

[b] opening of MS Money and signing with my old password

In this way, MS Money failed to check online if my password has been changed, so he simply accepted my old password.

As soon as I got the MS Money file, I changed it to stop using a Microsoft Account to access the file.

I hope that makes sense and is useful to others out there who have had similar problems.

  • Remove the ability of the child to change Microsoft Account password

I created my 13 years with a Microsoft account to connect to Windows 8.1.  It's a child account.  I changed its hours Configuration / password and parental control limits.  It's great.  I get home from work and I can't connect it.  He said, ' I could not open a session and assumed my password has expired, so I changed it. "  It's not big.  He explained how he did and its exactly what I'd do if I forgot my password.  Although, as a child account, it should not be able to change his own password!  What can I do to prevent it from changing his own account password?

    Hello

To help you solve your problem, we suggest that reconfigure you the security settings for the Microsoft account of your son in this link. Make sure your son knows all the security information you set up.
