Change of a word in a PDF file

When I change or remove a word in a PDF file, the format of the paragraph it messes up - letters are transferred to other words, etc. How can this be avoided?

Hi JeremyMT

Instead of editing the PDF file, convert PDF to Word first and edit and then convert back to PDF.

    I want to know that I can not change (cut the lines/words/phrases) in PDF files on my laptop... can u help please...

    I have downloaded even hv a software, impossible to do?

    Hello Jonathan New Zealand,.

    Addition information of Santosh, please let me explain further.
    If you have only downloaded a PDF reader software as Adobe Reader which can be downloaded for free, you can only read the file you cannot change the file. You need to download or buy PDF Editor so you can edit and read the PDF file.

    Hope this explains a little further.

  • How can I change the paper size of the pdf file?

    I use Adobe Acrobat Reader X, but the paper size of the PDF file is larger than the 81/2 "x 11". I need to change the page size of the PDF file.

    Hi matthewc70309046,

    There is no option to change the Page size of a PDF document.

    Try to print to the Adobe PDF format, in the dialog box print, select Page layout-> size desired by you.

  • How can I PERMANENTLY change the default printer to Adobe PDF files using my physical printer instead of SIMPLY printing a pdf in a new PDF file?

    Whenever I restart Adobe Reader DC default printer is automatically reset to print any PDF file to the "print to PDF file" as the default printer.  How can I change the "default printer" always default to be my physical default printer, instead of "print of PDF?»»»

    PRINTING a document which is already a pdf file to a pdf file is absolutely ridiculous and stupid for the following reasons:

    1. If you want to save a document that is already a pdf in different PDF file, you can use the function "Save as" in the file menu.
    2. If the user select "Print" to PRINT a file they ther NOT try to SAVE a file.  (We'll give credit to the average user to understand the difference between PRINTING and SAVING of a document).
    3. Most of the users do not need to duplicate the storage of a document on their drives to computer
    4. Users of mobile devices, by the fact that they have already downloaded the PDF file have already used storage space of EXTREMELY valuable and LIMITED memory with the download of origin and most certainly so NOT to use more than this space such a resource limited printing!

    As an engineer, hardware and software for the past 40 + years to really understand the value of making easy allow the end user to change the configuration of something as simple as the setting for the default printing device to use!

    For the record, I searched the online help as well as the forum Adobe Reader community for a thread that explains how to change the printer by default so that whenever I starts the Adobe service it will automatically use the printer default physical connected to my computer to "PRINT" any PDF document.  If I missed something that deals with this problem please point me about it, if no such band rolling exists, then please tell me before making this change.

    Thank you for your help in this matter!

    Sincerely,

    Larry A. Coates

    Hi larryc57256426,

  • Microsoft Word print to PDF files

    We need print reports to PDF from Microsoft Word 2010, and we open the PDF file in Adobe Reader XI the format of the report is not accurate unless you approach significantly (e.g. 150% +). For example, the lines on the tables will be missing unless you zoom in. The report prints perfectly. Is there a way for the file PDF see correct formatting report when the document is enlarged to its default value (100%)?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Nikilk52676735,

    I recommend you try the following procedure:

    Go to tab Acrobat-> click on preferences-> uncheck "enable accessibility and reflow with tagged Adobe PDF" and then click OK.

  • Does not check a word in the pdf file. Using Windows 7

    As I have used Acrobat reader to view the PDF files for the years.  I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 from XP.  I tried to search a PDF file to a Word and it always happens with none found even if I search for a word that appears in the document, that I'm looking.  Any advice?

    Just FYI: scanned images which contain text can be converted into text documents real using the recognition of characters (OCR) in Acrobat (but not drive).

  • How can I change the highlight color for my PDF file?

    On my PDF files, I am able to highlight text, but does not know how to change the color of the highlight.  I got Adobe Reader and also paid upgrade - but honestly, I don't know what program I have.  This is more confusing application, that I have ever used!

    Hi vickis,.

    You may need to go to the comment pane and right-click on the annotation "Highlight text" and choose "Properties of the tool by default".

    The highlighter tool properties dialog box opens from which you can change the highlight color.

  • How can I change my settings to open a PDF file?

    Currently I can't simply OPEN a PDF file, I have to save it and then I can access. He got accidentally saved once to automatically save instead of open it directly. In some cases although it cannot be considered that way. How to open directly change?

    Go to Tools - Options - Applications and enter "pdf" in the filter field, and then change the default action associated with what you want it to be.

  • How can I change the default program to open PDF files?

    I wish that Adobe Acrobat 9 to open my PDF files as default. When I followed the prompt to update Adobe (pop up), it changed the default value for Adobe Reader 10.

    Hello

    In Adobe Reader x, go to edit - preferences-> general. Click on "Select the default PDF Manager", then select Acrobat 9 from there.

  • How do I know if a change has been made to a PDF file by a plugin before the save?

    I have a plugin that I wrote which is performed via COM by my c# .net 4.0 launcher application. The function of the plugin is to analyze the PDF open for annotations that are annotations 'Launch' and update each JS actions or the actions of the URI.

    The problem is that some of the documents that are passed in the plugin are NOT annotated in them, and so the code of the plugin is written to do nothing for the documents in the case.

    Documents that are modified by the plugin will be saved to the location on the local hard drive, but files that are not modified should simply be moved to another location.

    How you can tell if the open PDF file has been modified by the plugin before you can save or copy the file my application COM?

    I thought that if I could get a MD5 or a byte array of the temporary file that is created by Acrobat as soon as the document is open and compare the MD5 or byte of the array of the same temp file after that changes (or not) were made to the document, then I'd be able to tell if a change had taken place. What is the best way to go about this? Is there a better way?

    If the temporary file is my best bet, is it possible for my application of COM to know the name of the temporary file when it is created?

    Just looking for ideas or suggestions on the best way to tell if the file has been changed or not, before you save it.

    OK thanks Malcolm. Who did the trick. I will say that in c#, it is somewhat a chore to get these JS commands to run properly, so I'll post the code here who works for someone else who has this problem and needs resolution.

    private static Boolean TestDirty (AcroAVDocClass avDoc, AcroPDDoc pdDoc)
    {
    object jso = pdDoc.GetJSObject ();
    bool docDirty = false;

    Try
    {
    If (jso! = null)
    {
    String [] fileToOpenArr = new string [1] {fileToOpen};
    Object jsApp is jso. GetType(). InvokeMember (null "app", BindingFlags.GetProperty, jso, null, null);

    If (jsApp! = null)
    {
    Object jsDocs = jsApp.GetType (). InvokeMember ("activeDocs", BindingFlags.GetProperty, null, jsApp, null, null);

    If (jsDocs! = null)
    {
    Object [] arrObj = (object []) jsDocs;
    Object theJSDoc = arrObj [0];

    Object objDirty = theJSDoc.GetType (). InvokeMember ("dirty", BindingFlags.GetProperty, null, theJSDoc, null, null);
    docDirty = Boolean.Parse (objDirty.ToString ());
    }
    }
    }
    }

  • Images lost in conversion to Word 2007 in PDF file

    I have a Word 2007 (docx) document, with inserted JPGs.  If the images text wrapping is on something else that "in line with text", the images do not appear in the PDF file created from the docx.  I have tried many different combinations of Acrobat preferences (or disable image compression standard vs high quality printing different ppp parameters etc.).  This seems to be a new problem, I have converted several Word docx with images in PDF format in the past.  A document that I converted to PDF a year ago is no longer converts correctly!   I'm running Windows 7 Pro and using Acrobat X Pro.   Office 2007 SP3 (and I suspect this is the problem).  Another person had the problem and, if so, found a fix?

    Hi, Bill.

    I solved the problem, which was misleading lines.  Somehow, Word Options--> display, print drawings created in Word has checked.  Now the pictures come out fine.   The misleading part is that images inserted from the files would be included in the PDF file if it was wrapped text as inline!

    Thanks for your time

  • How to change some wrong spelled words scan to PDF files

    I received an email and found out there is that an important message misspelled how modify this one?

    This spelling does that to comments and form fields, it does not apply to static text in the file. And you cannot correct misspellings in a scan anyway, unless you run OCR (text recognition) on this topic first.

    It will print the notebook documents

    4. all changes made to your system until the problem occurred
    None

    Hi BartBart,

    If you are properly able to print to the printer using Notepad or Wordpad, it indicates that the driver and the printer work properly. If you are unable to print from an application program, then you need to watch this program application to understand why it is not printing on the printer. If you run the full features software driver that is available for this printer, you can choose to install only the driver without any other software. See screenshot below.

  • Underlining a field of text (words) in a PDF file

    You can highlight a word that you type in a PDF form with text fields?

    Thank you.

    You must set the text field to "Allow Rich Text Formatting" by "text field properties" "Options" popup. Once the properties of the field is set correctly, you can select the text in the field and the right click of the mouse to set the properties of the highlighted text.
