  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should translate a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

  If the wizard fails, sometimes using the advanced settings, recording everything manually, can work.

• EA4500 will not change to the new public IP address

  Should be no problem at all if you use the version of Windows 8 EVEN because the product key is now embedded in the BIOS of the machine. The process is to get the right installation of Windows 8 media (DVD, USB, downloaded file) and then install on your client computer.   Well, no, I guess you have multiple partitions like C:\ for the partition system and D:\, E:\ etc. for other things. If so, you will need to format the system partition to install. Installation is identical to the installation of 32-bit. In case you have only one partition, you will have to do the same and you will lose everything (music, pictures, documents) unless you are backing up. If you decide to upgrade to x 64 you must ensure you have x 64 drivers for ALL your hardware components since you cannot use x 32 drivers on an x 64 system. The best way is to check the manufacturer's Web site. Also, don't forget to save.

  AFAIK the Qosmio player is installed on the hidden partition.
  If you want to retrieve the Qosmio player you 100 MB of free space on the partition further.
  I recommend using Partition Magic 8 to create a partition.
