  I found a solution that worked for me!

  My problem was when I tried to change the import settings after inserting my memory of cameras

  I was wondering the same thing and I think I found a solution for this. If you go to the project page - project to change content, after the editor has been loaded, you have a small black rectangle in the bottom of the page, content, coverage, parameters, overview, updated project. When you click on the cover, you can actually choose your new coverage among the images already uploaded from your project. I hope that helped. I don't understand why you're not able to do it from your gallery page, it is somewhat confusing and I hope it will pass portfolio team.

  have a PC Winsdows 8.0. and Litghtroom 5.7. I want to be ready to a computer breakdown and all my photos stored on an external drive. When I reimport to determine if I know how to do it correctly, photos come with no keywords. I checked the hirarcy button key words and exported the original internally. When I reimport there are no keywords or changing data. I know it's in the catalogue, but do not know how to connect witih photos. I have to re key word and edit all photos by 11,000 or so if I had a crash. I'm not a computer person and I try forums etc, and all I get is "remember the catalogue is here as well as photos" it is there but does not connect with the photos.   The problem is that reimport is not the right thing to do. Never re - import!

  To restore everything after a crash, you restore a backup of the file catalog to its location of origin, and you return all the photos in their original location.

  About half of the time on my mac Photos will miss a photo or two times. You can see in the "pictures" section, but it will not appear in the 'Moments '.

  When you import into LR, (64 bit of windows 10 CC2015.3) directly from an SD card inserted in a bed in the card slot, the application does not remember photos that I already imported.  I have 200 photos, import a number of them, say 40.  Make sure that I clicked on "new photos", but all THE photos appear. At first I thought that the camera musemum shots when he wrote, but is not the issue. I close LR and restarted the computer. This happens on 2 different cards, 2 different cameras.
