  I agree that the interface must be the same for all systems except mobile phones for obvious reasons.

  The previous version of linux 2.2 beta of Skype was too old, that is why it seems compact.

  But good! Just go to options and change to 'Cat', you can unckeck the checkbox 'Use the default mode' to put it back to what the air before.

  Seems to work very well on my Fedora 17, tried by videoconference or office part yet.

  I've just updated my Skype Linux based on Gentoo for Skype - 4.0.0.7 - r2 of sources.

  Skype does not start after that little start up. I get the "segmentation fault" if I run it from the terminal. And get the tail the log like this:

  Then I reinstall it and working fine until a couple of starts. Then it will repeat.

  Y at - it an idea to fix it? Or should I just use for the old one version, that works so - so?

  I'm very happy to have an update to version 4.3.0.7. However, unfortunately, the video is freezing in each call and then the call is stalled.

  -Uninstalled Skype version 4.2 (complete uninstall including parameters)

  -Installed Skype version 4.3 (in opening package multiarch in ubuntu Software Center)

  I could not find this problem already posted. I'm alone on this? If I can help by providing more information? Any help would be appreciated?

  I solved the problem by removing the account (. / Skype).

  And install the latest version 4.3.

  Happy now with the version 4.3.0.37 (instead of 4.3.0.7).

  Everything now works welll.
