• Can't change ringtone on Pre

  Someone at - he saw this isssue - phone does not allow any other ringtone. When I choose a new ringtone and close the preferences, it is default to pre ringtone. How can I fix it? I turned phone couple of times without result.

  After clicking on the desired ringtone and a check mark shows next to him. Use the gesture back to return to the sound page, then close the page by dragging. If you swipe the card away when the ringtone list shows it won't save.

  I'd love help please. I just tried to use a new processor in a C521 and the result is a light amber constant without diagnostic lights and fan at full speed.

  Old processor was Sempron 3400 +.

  New processor is Athlon X 2 5000 b (brisbane) 65 w (ADO500BIAA5DO)

  Board of Directors is HY175

  * Bios version is 1.1.11

  Processor and the radiator cleaned well and apply decent dough. I just wanted some advice before I go back the old fingers processor and the cross which he then published.

• How can I change the time settings?

  Hello. I had Skype on this laptop for a while and didn't really care about portable time settings are wrong. But today I decided to change to those appropriate (the current settings are a day before) and it destroyed my Skype. It winded windows chat back and I couldn't send anything. Where the question - y at - it an option to correct the time settings AND change Skype history files at the same time, so that they are in conflict? And if there is no option - how can I remedy this?

  Skype uses the clock of your computer to talk to tag messages. When the computer's time is not, which is the case with chat messages.

  You can delete the entire chat history or try to fix the time stamp of the messages, but it can be a long process requiring 3rd party applications.

• Skype crashes whenever I connect to the internet.

  Hello, I have been using Skype for a while now, but recently I had problems with it working properly.

  I am able to log well, but as soon as I connect, Skype says it has encountered a problem and it stops. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, the "name change Skype to old_skype' thing, glancing at my firewall and my anti-virus setting but have no luck fixing. I was however able to connect when I put my phone in airplane mode, but as soon as I took contact with wifi, it stops again. I have a suspicion that it may be related to when the window update a couple of days, but I have really no piece of evidence to support this theory.

  If anyone has any ideas to help solve my problem, I would be very happy. Thank you for your time.

  Open the Windows event-> custom views-> administrative events Viewer. Look for error messages recent with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and paste here the text on the general tab.

• Skype is out of control, freezing constantly!

  So, with this new update to make "easier to use Skype", which is Microsoft speak to say "make incredibly painful." Since the last update, where Skype now has ads in CHAT where I talk to my friends, whenever the announcement is about to change Skype will freeze if I'm in a call to someone else or if I'm on this direct chat. Whenever I have send a message to someone, Skype freezes. Whenever I connect, Skype freezes for about two minutes for no reason. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall, I've done virus scans etc but nothing do not have this problem. I do not understand why now, they have the right to ads on my face as I will click on them like this, but it's incredibly annoying. What should I do?

  I think it's a fault of the router, because I am able to send video messages when I am connected to the network 3g and not my wifi router modem.

  I changed the NAT, filtering for 'open' and it still does not work.

  Thanks for your reply Darren. The only problem I have with Skype's video messaging. I have no idea on the ports. I think I solved the problem by going into the QOS and preferably change Skype to high. Since I did it I tried to send video messages 2 and it worked. Could you tell me why that would make a difference?

• Palm Pre on Go Daddy (Pop accounts) - can't get it to work

  I re-post this message here because I have received no response by posting in the Wireless section and send a couple of days.  This part of the community seems to have more activity.

  I have correctly configured my Gmail and my accounts from Comcast to work on my pre.  However, if Go Daddy accounts claim that they are in sync, they receive no e-mail.  When I sent from this account I get an "Email Application alert error (email object)".

  My parameters correspond to the parameters of Go Daddy, which worked successfully when I configure my Blackberry Storm and match ads to the Go Daddy site 'http://help.godaddy.com/article/4715?'.  They also worked successfully through Outlook 2007.

  Using manual put in place that I entered:

  I did it with user authentication both market.  When, add the [email protected] and the password after the outgoing server.  I changed my password on dad going and then it changed on the pre didn't do the work.  I tried with SSL on and outside, both incoming and outgoing and change the port to match.  Did not work.   I have experimented with some of my other accounts of Go Daddy, and they did not work either.  I entered and back the password to make sure it wasn't the mistake.

  I'd appreciate the help.  I have search the forums of Go Daddy and haven't seen posted elsewhere here.

  I found in a forum, after a google search, when I change a vNIC model adding a vlan is a task which are not requires a restart of the host/blades.

  In this case, how can I managed to add the new vlan in the vNIC models? I have a total of 40 production VMware virtual servers distributed in these 4 hosts/blades.

  To make a change that is resistant to the evolution of screen resolutions, replace C:\Windows\Web\Screen\img100.pngwith your new image. Then delete the image resized C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly\LockScreen_Z caches. You will need to take ownership of the files/folders in question to access.

  Alternative: disable the lock screen. To do this, search for "group policy" settings. Navigate to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, personalization. The value "Not displayed the lock screen" to "Enabled".

  When VCM collects data, it performs a comparison of Delta on the endpoint. Basically, this means we study all elements in the scope of the filter selected collection, and then throw away everything that's already been sent to applicant collector. Thus, if a registry filter covers a branch of registry which was compiled before and includes 100 values under it, but one of these 100 is new, one is changed and he used to be one who has since been removed, the Delta process will result in only three inputs for return to the collector: to create for the new value a change in the value is updated and has delete (tombstone) for the value that longer exists. Obviously, it is an effective way to collect a lot of data, since we do not have to send all 100 values every time - just the differences between what is there now and what has been sent before.

  On the collector side, VCM will use Delta data to update the information in the registry for the target computer, but it will also save the changes to the master log of changes. For change, for example, there will be a record written to the log of the changes saying, more or less, "at that time, at that time, for this machine, that the registry path and the value increased from X to Y." we do not know exactly when the change was made, or who, because it is not part of the registry information is capture. However, if we have collections scheduled to run once per day for these data, we know that the change occurred in the course of the last 24 hours.

  When VCM makes a change, it bookends the change with a pre/post data to change collection.   Once you have data in the change log, you can then browse and analyze, report off of him and create alerts based on certain types of detected changes. VCM can also export the changed data back to vCenter Operations Manager where it can be used to annotate graphics mashup so changes can be seen in correlation with the performance of the system.

• NTBackup running in a script Pre gel

  I thought I'd be smart NTBackup and incorporate into the backup script before freezing to an Active Directory VM. What the script works specifically a NTBackup of the State of the system on the local disk and then copy the backup file to a remote file share. If an error is generated when executing the script, the script Pre gel returns the error number before you leave (which means that if any sort of error NTBackup, the regular backup every night of the virtual machine will be not held). I tried this idea in the test environment, and it works most of the time. However, sometimes a VSS 12301 (no response from GatherWriterStatus) error, but despite the error the NTBackup ends very well. So I changed the script Pre gel to ignore all occurrences of error of 12301 (a 0 is returned).

  So what I what to know is, is it a good idea or a bad idea? I thought everything would be fine because the NTBackup must complete before when the disks are suspended (due to the nature of the gel Pre script).

  What a great idea! I have recommended NTBackup to DCs running long - since win2000 days. He has never even occurred to me to add it to the pre-antigel script.

  Regarding your VSS error, it is recommended to use standby on transactional systems, such as AD, SQL, and Exchange. I would like to add the "q 0 ' option to your command of vcbMounter for this virtual machine. (Undocumented, means no suspend - thanks to depping for this one!)

  If you do backups with a VCB integration kit, you may also uninstall the VSS provider and the sync on this virtual machine driver.

• Change a textframe which was not created by a variable by getByName

  Hi all

  Someone know how to change a textframe pre-existing in illustrator with extendscript. I can see how after using '.add' and then referring to the variable and changing the content, but I can't seem to find the answer to the alteration of the content of a textframe which was not created by the script:
