Choose the installation location of CC2015 (on PC)

How choose where to install the creative cloud Panel and real-world applications? I installed on drive E on my desk, now I have a laptop which also has a small SSD drive as drive system and I want to install the player software E. But, it installs to the default location (C:/Program Files) without asking.

  • No option to change the installation location of the program

    Hello

I have problems with my laptop running Vista Basic.

Whenever I try to install a new program, it automatically starts the installation on drive C.  There is no opportunity to change the installation location.  It must now to the point where drive C is almost full yet D drive is almost empty.

Is it possible I can get Vista to start giving me the option to choose where I would like the installation to occur or may simply change the default location?  I don't have a problem with the deletion of all programs that are running on my laptop that I have all the disks necessary to reinstall, I just can't continue as things are.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you get a choice of the place where the software is the responsibility of the installer, no windows.  I would say it's time to start looking in an upgrade of the hard drive if you are running this short space.

  • Change the installation location of many programs?

I just got an SSD (60 GB) to use as my drive master boot and after doing some research, it became clear that changing the progamfilesdir /(x86) registry entries can cause problems with some programs and Windows update.

A lot of programs that I use allow me to change the installation location, but some do not. Is there a method to move these programs or make install in another directory?
    Thank you.

Even if you custom install on a drive to reactivate, a lot of files will be written on the disc of the victory.

  • I have installed on my computer the other SSD hard drive and now want to install Photoshop and Lightroom this station and I'm not on the C drive. How the exchanged the installation location when you use your creative cloud in your program.

Photoshop is installed on your C partition and how installing it on another partition now!

Heinonen Petri dish that you can customize the installation location in the preferences for the desktop creative cloud application.  Please be aware that the creative Cloud desktop application and many still shared components must be installed on the primary disk that contains the operating system.

For more details on how to customize the installation location please see CC help | Download, install, update or uninstall applications.

  • Photoshop CS6 independent: impossible to choose the installation directory (El Capitan w House separate folder on SSD)

I had to do a fresh install of El Capitan and am reinstalling all software (sigh).

My folder is located in a separate DSS (and not on the boot drive). I want to have all my applications in the folder of the startup disk, not in the folder/applications in my home folder.

When I run Photoshop CS6 setup the 'Location' field is set on / applications of the startup disk.

BUT what's really weird is that when I press on install, the software however ends in the folder/Applications my HOME of RECORD page.

What the hell is happening here? I tried three times, thinking at first I just took the wrong folder/applications, but now I see it, it's as if the record of / applications starting is wired into the installer somehow.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions

    Philippe

    Hi Richard,

In the case of a Mac machine the default location for all applications is Applications folder, if case you want to change this location, you will need to contact the Apple support, as they can help you change the default location.

To check and confirm whether or not it is installed on your boot drive, you can view the Application Support folder of your system library and if you see the folder of Photoshop in there it means that it is installed on your startup disk.

Location: right-click on the icon in the Finder and select the option to ' Go-To ' records. You will get a text box, type in the command below and then press the 'return ':

/ Library (It will open file System Library)

Then go to The Application Support > Adobe

Let us know if that helps.

  • Change the installation location of automatic update

    Hello

First of all thanks for reading the post.

The problem that I am facing is that after that put in automatic day is over, they are installed to the C:\ drive but in drive F:\ which is empty and must be used for Linux.

The fact is that before I formatted my PC, updates have been installed to drive F:\ only. I don't want no other than the C:\ drive for Windows installations. Help, please.

Config. : Windows XP Pro SP2

    Kind regards

    xploreraj

By default, the installer will download to

    %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download<=this>

    (e.g. C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download)

Over time, the files in this folder will be 'age' & should be deleted automatically. Removal of the contents of this folder manually has no untoward effect (other than the fact that an installer will be downloaded again if you need to reinstall the update for some reason any).

Now, you download SP3 and all post-SP3 installed updates as soon as POSSIBLE. After you have done so, you can see this discussion: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=33827

  • Impossible to reinstall LR5 after removing to change the installation location

After update of creative cloud, location instalation restored by default. I had already installed LightRoom5 to the default location. I removed the LR5 using programs and features. Restarting the machine. CCApp was told that Lightroom5 is always installed. Impossible to reinstall in the correct location as LTCC think program is installed

Issue seems to be caused by uninstalling or LR5 not done via the request manager. Uninstallation of Photoshop CC has been processed by Application Manager. Reinstalling Photoshop CC completed at the new location with no problems.

  • Neutrual Duotone: choose the appropriate location of Pantone

Hello everyone, I'm trying to reproduce black and white photographs in neutral Duotone (or tritone) on an offset press. The goal is to produce better middle and highlight the tone and deep shadow compared to just using black. I also want to avoid the color tint problems and cost associated with BW in CMYK.

As I've never worked with before Duotone, I like to know which Pantone grey (s) should I choose, specifically the depth should be grey (s). I understand what I'm looking for may depend on the effects that I am trying to achieve. If this is the case, what factors should influence my choice of grey? All recommendations?

A big thank you to the community!

I think you're on the right track.  I recommend a minimum of a Newt.  'Cool' grey PANTONE will be a good choice if you want to print a pinch on the cool side.  Then, as well as black (shade), you can assign a Cool Gray 5 or 6 for medians and a Cool Gray 1 or 2 for highlights.  I don't know how your prints will be printed, but the tones would have proposed in an offset printing process.  This does not mean the file could not be printed on an inkjet, but tasks will eventually convert to any device that you plan to use.  If you want to warm up the photos, just swap the 'Cool' grey for Grays 'hot '.  Looks like a great project.

  • Why can't I choose an installation location?

He let me do before, now, it will not I put on my c: full why he cannot let me install elsewhere?

    Hi Alan93,

    ·         This phenomenon only occurs with Internet Explorer?

    ·         Remember to make changes before the show?

    ·         You get an error message that the C drive is full everything when trying to install applications?

    ·         What exactly is a transcript of the error message that you receive when trying to install applications?

    ·         In what reader are applications automatically install now?

You can delete all unnecessary files from drive C by using the disk cleanup and try to install the application:

  • Choose the drive to install applications

How to choose which drive to install creative cloud and applications? I won't install on my C drive.

The CC app will always install on the drive root of your system. There is no way to change this. Once installed, you can change the installation location of the real applications in the settings.
