  (1) - Dweblogic.utils.http.maxParameters = XXXX

  This is necessary and can be defined as stated above or by wlst command line (see the example script below). 'xxxx' is the limit of the allowed parameters in an Http request. The recommended value is 10000. A higher value would allow a requestto have more parameters but the server is likely to slow down the serving of other applications.

  I am trying to record a semi-long OpenScript script. It has 8 step groups, some of them are nested. It's not really long or wide a script.
  At any given time during recording, OpenScript a few locks for about 30 seconds. When she comes back strangely, the screen flashes a few times then recording continues.

  I agree with Glenn. This is a restriction of the JVM OpenScript, the maximum size of a single method is 65535 bytes (Alex and Jamie and JB, join me my brothers on this issue...), you can split your run in several methods method...

  We run Discovere 9.0.2 and run our reports to the prompt BACK. We met the limit of 10,000 rows problem and have seen posts saying change office this using tools-> Options-> query governing, in other posts, it is said to lot need to change RowFetchLimit parameter, but the path in the name of the registry key has 10 Discovere in it - this key does not exist for the version 9.0.2.
  
  For the version 9.0.2 lot and office use the Governor Office query defining or is there another registry key hidden somewhere?

  I have a problem migrating data to a database with Western Europe of characters to a new database with UTF-8 Charter game. I know that this has to do with certain characters using more then one byte in a UTF character database. But as I have a varchar2 column is configured with 4000 bytes as limit and imp reports error as some lines exceeds 4000 and real need is 4009 byte that is not possible as varchar2 limit is 4000 bytes.
  I need to identify the lines that exceed 4000 bytes.
  
  Change the data type is not an option.
  
  Anyone has any ideas on how to identify the lines beyond 4000 bytes, or someone at - it a query that allows you to query the environment with all of the above lines existing 3980 bytes in this column?

  The csscan character set Scanner Utility will report on all the lines that will be damaged by the character set change (even if you have to correct them yourself), it is described in the globalization support Guide.

  I have a database application that all the text boxes have a limit on the bytes user can write in. I think that we have a way to limit the number of bytes, that a user can enter in a text box. I have not found a property or method that can serve the purpose. One can provide some tips?

  You can try with the chain of control updated as you type and disable it then "calue change" event when it reaches the maximum length

  If your Oracle DB version is version10.2 or later, buffer_size UNLIMITED syntax is available as shown in the doc link rp0428 posted above.  The equivalent of UNLIMITED in a call to dbms_ouptut.enable would be dbms_output.enable (NULL).  I added the (ridiculous) example of a report of child brother employees under a Department of parent report:

  You have aaa login default configured for authentication, with this you get invited

  When you try to access the line.

  Under line VTY 5 181 try adding:

  authentication of the connection /NOAUTH

  exec authorization /NOAUTH

  Add the lines of aaa:

  /NOAUTH AAA authentication login no

  /NOAUTH AAA authorization exec no

  This should stop the authentication to the lines.

• Global Variable length problem

  I'm moving a group of a pll key values.
  I'm holding all the key values in a text field that can contain up to 10000 bytes and I'm assigning the text field values to a global variable.
  This value of the global variable is read by pll and fetch the records using these key values.
  
  But I'm getting ORA-06502 error. This is a question about the length of the variable.
  Form builders help I got to know that this global variable can hold only up to 5000 bytes.
  
  Suppose that
  New_id is a text field that has more than 7000 bytes values separated by comma
  
  New_id is that a text field of type char length is 10000,
  
  +: global .new_cust_id: = Block.new_id +;
  
  On this line, I get ORA-06502 error, because this value is used by other packages.
  
  Can someone help how do I fix this

  Citing the Globals online documentation:

  A global variable is a variable of Oracle Forms whose value is available for the triggers and the subprogrammes in any module that is active in the current session. In previous versions of Oracle Forms, a global variable stores a string of length, for all uses up to 255 bytes. In Oracle 10g form, global variables are now limited to 4000 bytes when they are set or referenced using PL/SQL bind variable notation. for other uses, no limit is imposed.

  This means: If you access the global variable like this:

  :global.variable := value;
  

  You can store up to 4000 bytes in length. If you use the copy and name_in built ins you should be able to store up to 32767 bytes in a global variable.

• Unable to copy files... Read only problem?

  A few weeks back, I noticed that I couldn't copy or access certain files on an external hard drive.  If I tried to copy the files to another drive, only a few files copy and then she quit.  Finally windows could not even see the external hard drive.  It is this same thing on three different computers. I assumed it was a problem of hard drive and that it was not...

  At the time it seemed that I could access the files on all computers.

  Today, however, I tried to copy photos on my camera and it's the same thing. He copied some files and then abandoned. I then tried to copy the files to my laptop and it's the same thing.

  It seems that all folders on all three computers are 'read only' and if I uncheck it automatically re-itself allows to...

  Any ideas as to what could be the problem?  This could be something to do with the parameters of authorization on the computers?

  Edit: I tried simply to copy the files from th again. During which I repetedly went to folder properties and off to read-only and it was able to copy most of the files, the only exception is a large 100 MB video file +... This looks very similar to what was going on with my external hard drive...

  Whatever the problem is, it isn't the read-only check box.  In XP, the 'Read only' checkbox in the properties is associated with a custom folder and has nothing to do with the write protect.  A good explanation is in this article:

  Is the number of characters in the path to the file?  If you have directories within directories, etc., the number of characters in the path to the file can become large.  Windows has a limit of 256 bytes.  There are other more reliable means of copying the files.  Discover "Robocopy" (robust copy) that figure in the freeWindows XP Resource Kit .

  I'm trying to understand if it's funny question on our SC8000 6.6 OS or on purpose (and if so, why?).

  Sending packets (ping - l) larger that the MTU configured on the server returns a timeout.
  It doesn't matter if I'll put any 9014/4088/1650. These servers have no problem Ping between them in any scenario.

  It was nice to find. but phrases it give me not defiant conclusion if when not using the parameter f fragmentation works or not.

  Here is my result when it is configured for 9014:

  So. It's always nice to come back on the forum with the answer.and cannot be the following through the void. So here it is.

  YES. the HDS is not to respond to ping fragmented.  but we had a different behavior that we could not explain, even with the indicator f. instead to get the answer that the packet needs to be fragmented, we got the ping timeout for the size of the packets between 8968 8972:

  C:\>ping 10.1.158.13 f-l 8969
  Ping 10.1.158.13 with 8969 bytes of data
  Request timed out.

  So we saw this as a black - hole.we we are really concerned to find that point, but when you take the packet trace that I found something interesting. on any ping response above 62 bytes the HDS also return four bytes of the trash at the end (well that's the look as it puts even more of the CBA after the image)
  

  We tested it on another system that has a different configuration, on that we that we have had no black hole.  another trace fast package (down at the bottom), we saw that the server receives frames of to1918 bytes (the card configured to 9014 accepts but still above).
  so - two questions, both seems to be with HDS pings to the
  1 compellent adds garbage four bytes to packets of bytes 62 more ping response.
  2 compellent allow the ping response on 9014Bytes that are lost by our NIC (but seems to be only for ping).

  because we dug it good enough only to ICMP. I don't have keep trying and captured anywhere else on the wire.
  

  Our configuration:
  Compellent SC8000 OS 6.6.5.19, Chelsio T320 Dual Port LP Vlan tag, related to the Nexus 5 k.  Political status for all the ports mtu 9216 connected to a Board card intel X 520 configured with MTU 9014.

  Test 8.0 and really like the performance so far. I get this message in the console and can't find any doc respond to this message. Has anyone else got this with 8.0 before I go and open a ticket. Is there a task to do this?

  I think that this is related to the following (I copy and paste part of the text).

  Motivation	A lot of the information presented in the browser interface is derived from alarms (alarm counties, States of topology objects and so on). If the rules are configured in evil, this can lead to the creation of a very large number of alarms within the system. The server is a default limit of 10000 alarms which can be displayed and used to calculate the States of objects. When the Server enforces this limit, it gives preference to the current alarms so that objects are presented in the correct state.
  Symptom	Browser interface performance is poor (that is, it responds slowly), in particular when displaying the table of alarms.
  Diagnosis / audit	The server is not overloaded and is still in processing. CPU utilization on the server is high it provides alarm information. Threads may clog for a few seconds, intermittently, when you attempt to load the alarm details.

  It is not only a question of performance Foglight it is also a question of ' can you really manage an environment that has so many alarms?
  You probably want to clear alarms.
  You can also change alarms by individually turning off loud alarms, change of thresholds or disabling levels of warning alarm (different environment to run with different settings and parameters of the box may correspond to some but not all environments.)

  You can also go to the VMWare environment dashboard > Administration (tab) > Set alarm Sensetivity level and switch to critical alarms.

  As Brian wrote: there is a limit of 5000 alarms in this dashboard. That is up to 5000 alarms can be listed in the dashboard of the alarms.

  There is also a limit of 10000 alarms in Foglight.

  The number of alarms in Foglight can affect the load of dashboard of the times (like most display alarm number of dashboard).  We generally recommend to our clients to manage their alarms tighter when you have several alarms, it becomes difficult to see what is happening in your environment.

  I strongly advise you to get our Professional Services organization involved to help control the number of alarms raised.  This is usually obtained by analyzing the alarms and examining their utility (in your environment) and the thresholds used for alarms, as these tend to require development to meet your specific needs.

  Can you tell us why you have so many alarms? (I mean: what kind of alarms are you see?)  They come from the multiple laws of gravity that disengage automatically or several simple rules that do not, such as the database of the journal entries of the database alerts alarms considered that does not auto-clear?)

  The number of alarms increased recently, or were there sustained growth (not driven by an increase in the number of monitored things)?

In the past, the applied PIX a limit of 512 bytes to DNS queries, but from this RFC, it's now worth to have DNS queries that exceed this limit.
