  I get an error when I try to install the update for Acrobat Pro 11.0.16. Initially, I tried to upgrade to 11.0.14, and the update would fail. So I've updated to 11.0.15 (which worked). However even on 11.0.15, when trying to install 11.0.16 in addition to this the installation retrieves almost completely finished and then generates the following error message:

  "The instruction at 0x72ad4ac2 referenced memory at 0x72ad4ac2. The memory could not be written.

  I tried on two machines here and both are the same error. We are the Windows pro 8.1

  OK to make it even more strange... I ran the update once more to get the exact error of the second text machine and the installation worked. I tried again on the other machine and worked as well (it was after he failed at 2 or 3 times). I went and tried twice on a third computer, and he got the same error "memory could not be written update" both times.   Have you tried to install the updates manually?  If this isn't the case, I would start by doing this.  Click Start > all programs > Windows Update > view update history; Double-click a update failed, and then click the link under "More information."  This should take you to a page on this update and the file available for download.  You can then save on your system and run it manually by simply double-clicking it.  Alternatively, you can perform a clean boot before installing.
