  It seems to be a problem with Windows Installer. Try the steps suggested below and check if that helps.

  Method 1:

  You may need to unregister and re-register Windows Installer. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. click on the ORB 'Start '.

  2. Type "cmd" in the box start search

  3. right click on "cmd" program and choose "Run as Administrator"

  4. in the command prompt window type:
  msiexec /Unregister and press "Enter."

  5. then type:
  /register msiexec and press "ENTER."

  6. then type "exit" and press "enter."

  Now try to install the update and check if that helps.

  Method 2:

  You can check what updates failed to install, uninstall them completely and try to reinstall one at a time.
