  • Activation problems! Code __Error: 0xC004F050... The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is not valid.

I can't activate my OS. I use Windows Vista home premium, Service pack 2 (6.0.6002). I've been using that copy of Vista for over a year now without any problems of this kind. But now it seems that the product key - that came with the dvd when I BOUGHT it - is now invalid. I made sure that I didn't type in evil, but still the same issue. I tried to restore to a point earlier this afternoon, and once I failed tried to restore the system to a point, 2 days ago, but still not good. I thought he would have noticed in settings at that time at the time that my OS was still valid, but no.

The error began just after I had a problem during the game Flight Simulator x, and I was forced to shut down the computer because the game froze. I do not have a GPU, I use shared graphics memory and I think that I have would be overloaded or something. But when I went to start windows again, after that I selected "start windows normally", he asked me for the product key and the rest is history.

    See you soon!

    magiva

Yeh that did not work, BUT cause the just dissappeared. See, problems sometimes just disappear!

    Here is what I tried:

Enter the product key, after that I was invited to get in - that I found on the sticker on the side of the Tower. came up with the error that is the title of this thread.

activation of vista via phone (as has been mentioned in the previous post). I couldn't find any activation ID. as I said before, there were nine empty groups, labeled as 1-9 - I had nothing to enter.

tried to restore the system to a previous date: 1stly early in the afternoon, when everything was still ok. that did not work. then I tried a date that was two days before and that no longer works. It didn't work because the actual restoration process has not successfully completed - an error has occurred, so I'm not a not actually restore at any earlier date at all.

has rang tech support and the guy was just as confused as I was at my lack of installation ID. He forced me to check a few other things, and then he forced me to restart it... then a 2nd time to make sure, as he was about to try something else.

I logged in the 2nd time and wahllaaah! Back to normal, just had to put a round back photo upward once again, because the Office was all black - like what happens when you don't have a copy authentic Vista I guess. the guy said, after I interrupted him let him not the problem only "disappeared", his answer was ' really? OK, well, Sir, if you have problems in the future, please contact us again and just to mention the case number that gave you".

Hey interesting? someone tell me why this happens?

  • Error Code 57F endless when trying to update Windows 7

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron 15 (with Norton AniVirus).  Windows updates (the 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2) and update of security for Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (KB957789)) failed repeatedly to install since I got this system a few months previously, by returning a Code 57F message each time.  After troubleshooting advice, I tried manual updates at different times of the day to take ADVANTAGE of NO.

What can I do about it?

Have you tried the Fix in this article from Microsoft? Difficulty his have been created so that you can just click a button and get your machine fixed (without having to manually perform the steps).   I read that it can solve your problem.

From: the information in the Windows Update forum.

Windows Update forum is one of the three forums that doesn't have different forums for different versions of Windows (Internet Explorer and the game are the others).  With this in mind, we ask that you post at LEAST the following information.  If you don't know how to find some of the information and then post what you can and let us know that you need help to find information.

    Minimum information to validate:
Version of Windows and Service pack level. (Windows XP Home Edition, SP3; Vista Home Premium, SP1; Windows 7 Ultimate, etc...)
Post also if you use 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows.

Update the number of the last update installed before any problem.  If you do not know the number of update, then give the date that the update has been installed.  The number of updates update failed.

Error code updates failed or if you think an update caused a blue screen, give the blue screen error codes.

    Other information to validate:
Measures already taken to correct the problem and the results of the measures.

If the question is never happened before with other updates.

A few other useful parts are:
What program antivirus you use, if it is up-to-date, and there has never been any other installed antivirus program.
If your version of Windows has been upgraded from a previous version or if it came with (or clean installed with) the version you are currently using.

  • Windows Update 57F error code!

    original title: 57F error code!

I'm trying to update my windows vista 2007, 32 operating system. There are 23 updates that are needing to do. However whenever I try to update it comes up with error 57F code. Help, please. I tried several times!

Please, give him another chance & perform the procedure below

Diagnosis: Permissions were incorrect for some registry keys.

Considerations: I used this for Vista Ultimate SP1 and Office 2003 SP3. A similar procedure may work for other versions of office and Windows, I don't know.

You need to be reasonably computer or ask someone who is. You will need the installation of office files.

Important note: you should back up your registry and store the backup in a sensitive dossier (see procedure below). You can also create a system restore, just in case. Not sure what anyone in this note? for example the registry editor, permissions, System Restore, registry keys etc change? Check the Microsoft Knowledge base. (I can not take any responsibility on the problems caused by your use of this procedure. I can say only this worked for me!)

FIX: You * may * be able to use Office 2003 repair to identify the keys to the problem and then use the registry editor to change the relevant key permissions:

    1. connect to your computer as an administrator (if you can install programs, it is likely that you are an admin).

    2. run the Registry Editor (start > run and run regedit).

    3. in the registry editor back up your registry (select the top node of the computer, and then click file > export, save the file somewhere sensitive.). (Do not close the registry editor, yet).

    4. run a repair for Office 2003 (see relevant Microsoft KB).

    5. When you get an error in the repair process using the registry editor, find the EXACT registry key named on the command prompt (using the easy to find, Ctrl + F4 and F3 to repeat).

    6. right click on the key and select permissions on the shortcut menu.

7 set the user groups to enable total control and reading (click OK to save the changes).

DO NOT CHANGE A KEY UNLESS IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN THE REPAIR LINE.

    8. in repair, click the retry button.

    9. If the error prompt is replaced by a different prompt for a different key then the fix worked. Repeat step 5 above for the new registry key.

    10. If the error reoccurs prompt then repeat step 6, but assign another likely group of total control, for example the system.

    11. when all the keys have been updated and the repair finishes and then close the registry editor, and then try again the update of Windows.

    12. If this does not correct the problem, then you must restore your backup registry file.

PostScript: If you experience system problems after that you can restore the registry by double-clicking the registry file that you saved. If you can not do a repair of Office or run the registry editor, then you may not be an administrator.
