ColdFusion 8 Administrator user name in windows

Hello

I installed the edition of CF8 developer on a windows server 2 k 3. I put a password in the installation, but he never asked me a username, when I go to connect on the cfide, he asks a user and pass, but I have no idea what happened to the user. I tried everything I can think of, including all the usernames on the system.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How can I change my USER NAME in windows 7? IM using Windows 7 Home Premium in my DELL laptop. I've successfully changed in "Control Panel > user accounts. I also changed in "my computer (right click) > change settings" and changed the name of the computer, the description of full computer name and computer. After this step, right click in 'My Computer' watch my desired username, but using the "information for Windows > operating system" it shows again my old username IE Dell. Another example of username is not changed is the performance of games like EA Hot Pursuit, it shows my user name as DELL. I tried to change "regedit" too. Anyone?

  • How to change the user name in windows 7 Professional?

I recently installed windows 7 Professional and by chance I typed my user name and the computer when it prompted me to type it in. When I had typed the wrong characters in and click on 'Next', he wouldn't let me go back and change it, so I was stuck with an unwanted user/computer name. I managed to change the name of the computer for the word you want, but I didn't always know how to change my username.

I went to user accounts, and there was an option to change the name of the account, so I did.
However, none of my directories has changed its name, and all processes in the Task Manager were still running under the same previous user name, which I did not want it to be.

Is there a way to change the username of an account so it affects all the directories, files, folders, etc. without creating a new account with that name? Or, if possible, copy all the files and preferences of the current account to another account with this name?

    Any help is appreciated.

You cannot change a user account by changing just the name. Simply by changing the name will do a cosmetic change only and does not affect the underlying files/folders in the profile.

    1. from an account with administrator privileges, go to control panel > user accounts and to create the new user account named Standard the way you want to and at least one additional administrator account. Call the last 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar.
2 log in to the new Standard user account once if the profile of the files/folders are created and then connect to CompAdmin.
    3. now go to control panel > system > advanced > user profile > settings
    4. you will see where you can copy user accounts. Copy the old account to the new from there. Use her browse to select your new account (C:\Users\newaccount).
5 log in to the new account correctly named and make sure all your stuff is here and it works as you want. When you are satisfied, you can log on and CompAdmin and remove the old account from the control panel > user accounts.

If you want to access your account again, it is corrected automatically, follow these steps:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

General recommendations for the establishment of user accounts

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. Like XP, Vista and all the other modern operating systems, Windows 7 is an OS multi-user with integrated system of accounts such as administrator, by default, all users invited. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrative privileges on Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this by following the instructions written in the first part of this post.

  • I forgot the password and user name for windows xp

I accidentally locked my computer and now it asks username and password (windows xp). Unfortunately I forgot the two. Is it possible to reset it?

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you have XP Pro or Media Center and have been using the account administrator for your regular work so it is the only user account on the system, there are ways to change the password for this account to a white. Microsoft does not allow us to tell how, in these forums. Their House, their rules. Use Google or ask a technician to the local computer (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place). • I am not able to connect to my administrator user profile in Windows 7

I have a laptop HP that I bought last December.

It has been a nightmare of a laptop, there all kinds of questions remaining connected to wireless internet at home and anywhere else with Internet wireless.

I came home from work yesterday and when I turned it on, instead of you connecting to my administrator account as it has done every other time I started the laptop.  It is said that my administrator profile are not accessible and that they connected me to a temporary account.

My admin profile is the only profile on the laptop.

I tried to let it sit all night and restarted today and got the same message.

Is there a simple way to solve this problem?  I got an extended warranty from Staples when I bought it that I can use if repair is serious, but I want to fix without sending the computer com

I'm not a have a password on the account, but I don't think that is the question.

Please help me if you can, otherwise I will to get repair.

    Thank you!!

My admin profile is the only profile on the laptop.

That is where you fell down.

First of all, there is no need at all to launch Windows 7 as administrator on a daily basis - you should be run as a Standard user (protected by password) as it is the safest way to the performance of your computer

Second, you must set up an Admin account (call the Admin if you want - but not administrator!) with a password for access purposes and the elevation of emergency only

You need to forget everything about XP (if you did) - Windows 7 is much more advanced than XP that it allows to perform a Standard user account administration tasks purely by giving the Admin password.

I am trying to remove this accidental profile but when I go into control panel > user accounts > add or remove user accounts and click the appropriate profile, it doesn't have an option "Delete account" as do all other accounts. • I forgot my user name in windows xp?

Anyone know how to recover my username?

    Hi Clark,.

You can retrieve the login as administrator or any account you know the password.

You can locate all your username under "C:\Documents and Settings". You can try connecting to your pc as administrator in safe mode without password (unless you've created one). If you use the Welcome screen, you must press ALT + CTRL + DELETE (all three keys at the same time) twice to access the classic login prompt.

    I hope this helps.

  • Where can I find the Windows password and user name information

I download a new system from my computer and everything was going well until they asked my Windows username and password. I do not remember, and I can't find. Can you get it someone please let me know where I should look... Thank you

    Hello, dreamcatcher16

Please use the Forum for answers!

You upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7?

You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.

If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem with the administrator user account

When I connect to my administrator user account a Windows Sidebar message immediately rises:

"Settings.ini is being used by another process. Close the other program, and then click Retry, or click Cancel to exit sidebar. »

The problem is that there is no other program to close so I click on no to cancel. There is also a message from Catalyst Control Centre (program of ATI technology video card) that comes immediately after the message of the sidebar:

"The host application has stopped working a problem caused the program blocking works correctly." Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. »

I click Close Program, but no notice is. Try using Windows, I get the message "help topic is not found." I tried the system information (msinfo32.exe) and get the message "cannot collect information cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software.» Management of Windows files may be displaced or missing. » !!!

All the above problem ONLY happens in the administrator user account. Both regular user accounts work fine. Windows help works very well, information system works very well!

I'd appreciate any help to solve this problem of crazy.

If you "move" the files/folders to PUBLIC folders, you can then access them when you are in the new admin account and then you can place them in your personal folders.
If you do not Move To and copy to options in your context menu, here is the tutorial to "help":
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/89196-context-menu-add-copy-folder-move-folder.html

When you have completed the tutorial, try this...
Right click on any folder/file > click Move To > scroll to the destination where will be moved to the folder/file > click on move.
That's all. The file/folder is moved.

Public folders are accessible to all user accounts on the computer.
