combine 2 photos as layers

Hello

I know how to combine the photos as layers.

However, I would like to remove a few acres in one of the layers and merge it with the first layer of a photo.

I used the brush, both black and white color, but all I get is black and white spots on each layer I use.

Can't I merge them to a single photo, removing the areas I want to?

Thank you very much

Hello there-

He seems to want to make a Composite photograph. To start it is a great PS Touch Tablet tutorial here.

1. you can see below I have two photos, I want to merge into "one". I selected a tool eraser to erase the part of the image that I chose. I need only the woman's head, so clear it is a great way to remove some of the paint.

2 below you can see how I just head that remains from the upper layer. The table below reveals the woman's hat, I'll then want to remove.

3 I'll transform the size of the head of the woman, by clicking on the tool.

4 below I changed the size of the head of the woman. When you are finished, click the check mark.

5. I will not remove the hat of women in the lower layers. By clicking on the clone tool, I can clone the surroundings in order to remove the hat.

6. below you can see the woman's hat is now deleted.

7 I will now merge the layers. Click on the top layer, then the layer icon and tap on the icon of "merge".

8 select Merge down > fact.

9. you have now created a composite.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

  • How to cut a photo in layers

    Hello

I'm trying to cut (or cut) a photo in layers that I can re arrange me then. Let's say I want to cut a picture of a statue in 4 layers. How do I do that?

Imagine that the visible face of the statue is 4 inches deep (in reality) and all an inch, there would be a single layer. All the four layers on top of each other would give me the complete picture of the statue. It's like putting the statue and cut with a bread machine. How do I do that?

I still have to buy Photoshop presents a specific feature that I'm always looking for (I've failed to find tutorials or entries forum on this subject). If anyone could put me in the right direction please?

    Thanks in advance

    Wolfgang

Make your choice, then press ctrl-shift-J, which will put this part of the image on a new layer and delete it from the original layer.

  • Using layers to combine color photo on lined paper - loss of color

I'm doing a guest design book for my mother's wedding. I have a picture that I want to combine on lined paper (created with Word and digitized. Saved in PDF). I was going to change the opacity of the photo to make it lighter while bringing in lines in the image below. I renamed the picture so there was more background, selected, copied and pasted on my white, bordered with image and the color photo, then became a black and white grainy. Otherwise, I could have put the photo on a white background and change the opacity to lighten it and then lines on the image, but it did not work as lines has not been out of uniform. Would really appreciate help! I have a couple of PSE books, but I'm still stuck. I use PSE 12.

    Thank you!

Assuming that your double image is black lines on white background, place the image doubled over the image in the Palette layers. Change the opacity of the image doubled to multiply. The lines will be displayed and the image without change.

It is an older version of PSE so my Palette layers will be different from yours, but the result should be the same.

  • Combining a photo old and new

My sister has passed away from cancer before my nephew graduated from high school.  I have an old picture of her outfit his degree with a friend and a photo that I took of my nephews on the day of his graduation I want to combine. The question is mainly about my lack of knowledge of this product.  I got them to combine, but I want to find together the most realistic.  My sisters photo is a scanned image is grainy.  I make a quilt for my nephew and I would like to add this picture.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have attached the images.  My sister's the blonde on the left of the white shirt, and my nephew is, of course, graduation dress.Judy w-Friend.jpgfred grad.JPGfred and judy1b&w.jpg

    Hello

Here is a composite of your two photographs. As you say your sister is very grainy, but also your nephew has been fairly heavily compressed and we artifacts that allows to create a nice mask difficult. The only thing you can do is really try to cover up the problems. It will be interesting to see how other people tackle these tasks as this isn't the best thing to do to look acceptable. Of course you can easily off saturate this image to make it b & w

You can do the Panning... with Photo Story 3.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)

    PhotoStory 3 for Windows
    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=11132
(works on XP, Vista and?) Win7?)

This is not a full tutorial, but should be enough to help you started...

First be sure that the photo is less than 7200 x 7200 pixels pixels.

Import a panoramic photo in Photo Story 3 and move on
the screen "tell your photos and customize the animation."
(do not remove the black borders)

On the left, click Custom animation...

Check the box on the screen to customize the animation...... "specify
Start and end Position of the movement "." Resize and reposition the
Start management Position and final Position you prefer and
on the left, click the Preview button to see the result.

Also you can import multiple instances of a photo and
Pan from point A to point B in the first instance,... then point B
point c on the second instance and so on.

When the effects of movement are completed you can add music if
you want and go to the screen "Save Your Story."

You can left click on the 'Settings' button for several choices of
resolution... the profile of 1024 x 768 is perhaps a good choice.

Also... Choose a backup location and a name for your video.

To save the project as a. WMV video file... click Next
    last time.

Then you can import that video as well as other photos and
video clips in DVD Maker to create your DVD. If you have
problems with the video clips you may need to convert to MP4
paste them into WMV format before importing in creation of DVD.

  • How to recreate this photo with my own photos using layers?

    IMG_1566.jpg

    Quick steps:

    • Import all the images that you plan to use in your document. (You can start with a background set size if you do not have to worry about that later.) Place all these images together in a single document. (There are at least two ways to do this). One way is to open an image, then use the file > Place incorporated (if you use Photoshop CC) to place the images in the document.
    • Start thinking about how you want to composite the images together. Layers of work in a hierarchy or an "order"; a layer in the layers panel at the top is the most visible, unless the masks are applied. So you will want to probably the perfect sky and landscape at the bottom, while keeping the full swing golfer at the top. This composite data looks like maybe total 6 layers: 5 of the golfer at various stages of his swing, the background 1.
    • To begin, turn off all the layers but the background and the image of swing of the individual golfer that you want to work. What you'll want to do is select the golfer using the selection tools, and while the selection to a mask using the layer > layer mask > reveal Selection (or use the button at the bottom of the layers panel, looks like a rectangle with a circle inside).
    • The main thing is that you are now allowed to non-destructively "hide" or "hide" in any part of the image using the layer mask using tools like the Brush tool. Work of masks by using the grayscale values: black Total means total concealment of the content of this layer. Total white means reveal total content of this layer. Anything between the two as gray translates into varying degrees of opacity.  It goes way beyond the scope of this post without turning it into a novel, but if you want to get more in depth with layer masks: masks of use to hide the Photoshop layers
    • Repeat for the other layers.

From there on, it's a matter of style. for example, it seems that the sky has a thumbnail of all sorts, perhaps even a transparent gradient that has a layer mask applied so that the part that covers the golfer can be hidden. So many ways to do it.

If you have any questions, just ask. That's what we're here for.

  • How to combine digital photos in CS6 for a very long exposure

    Hi all

I want to make a really long exposure using my Canon 40 d DSLR.  If I just put the camera to bulb and take a long exposure, I get a lot of noise which eventually destroys the image.  I understand that you can get the equivalent of a long exposure by combining several shorter exposures (many?) of the same scene.  This is commonly done in astrophotography and other areas, but I don't know how to do it.  I tried Googling some of the terms, but I guess that I did not use the terminology just because the search did not turn up until I wanted to.

Is it possible in Photoshop, or do I need another tool to achieve this?

    I use CS6 on a Mac Mini with os x 10.8.4.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Image stacks you can add frames or their average.

Dark frame subtraction would reduce the dark News (especially glimmer of amplifier on long and dark exposures).

The PSE slideshow Editor features are pretty basic and do not have the ability to combine two or more files with photo on a single slide. You can add graphics or a bubble of text on a slide, but do not combine multiple photos.

You can use the full PES Editor to make a single picture file that contains multiple photos arranged however you like and then use this file single photo in the slideshow.

  • Why my photos are printed after work in photoshop to come our with faded color?

I am on a Mac with Maverick, using Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5. I make a portrait of 24 people and need to combine several photos to obtain a finished product attractive. I move my photos from Lightroom in Photoshop using the mask layers have been combining photos. When I transfer to JPEG and send them to a printer, they come out with a look of faded color. I am at my whits end trying to understand what I am doing wrong. Nobody knows what the solution to this frustrating problem?

As you can see, gator and I write similar things.  Maybe we were writing our answers at the same time, without the advantage of seeing the other, or your past answers.  It's the nature of the forums, sometimes.  In any case, two different explanations of the same thing can't hurt.

You are a beginner in LR and PS edition have 16-bit ProPhotoRGB documents, and those that should be converted to 8-bit sRGB to send to an outside entity or even for download on the web.  To do this, you can use LR or PS.

It was you needed flatten your document and convert to 8 bits before a save in format JPG, but apparently PS - CC allows you do save slot without any of the two, nowadays, that's why you have never had to do.  So the only thing required from you is to convert the color space, and you didn't know you had to until you've seen your impressions and has asked about it, here.

Save as you dialog box shows the color space that you save, so you can check every time, and he must say sRGB, unless your printer has told you to use something else and you have indicated in your download you use something else outside sRGB.  I expect that almost everywhere these days, expect sRGB, though may have a way to specify a special profile for the particular paper you print on and in this case, you will have download a printer paper-profile and convert to that instead of sRGB.  You can see the details of this in a book or a video.

I use LR for all my images and only PS for some more complex situations, so I always reimport on LR to PS and use LR to produce all the JPGs to a printer, because many of them have no need to go to PS at all.

Now, you have understood how to convert sRGB, or do you need more?
