Command line task to change settings

Hello

I would like to know if it is possible by using a batch file and OME (similar to http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/956/t/19658911

to change the settings on the page time zone and NTP, the SNMP Traps and e-mail and settings/network IDRAC page?

I would like to implement changes to the R820 servers (and a few m620s and R720XDs)

OR

As an alternative, am I better cloning a particular model, for example R820, then using OME + batch file to distribute settings cloned? Is there an example of how this is possible, if this is possible?

THX,

John Bradshaw

Hello

It is possible to set the time zone and NTP settings on a server by using the server configuration of OME feature. This feature allows you to set all the iDRAC, BIOS, LC and NIC configurations by OME. You would even be able to clone and configure these features using stateless computing. Point noted is that it is a feature under license of OME.

After white papers would be useful for you:

    Hello

Anyone is able to change the values of the ASP for the command line (or groovy), I want to change a large number of selected agents.

A previous post talks about using asp: together, but looking at the option of the command cmd - fglcmd.sh there isn't like asp: together.

I found an environment to test this script in.

I discovered that there was a mismatch between the ' / monitoredHost/name "used by the agent of systeme_windows and the virtual 'name' machine, which this script assumes must match.

    Adjust the gap, I changed:

    /vmName = val.get("name").toLowerCase)

    TO:

vmName = server. DataService.retrieveLatestValue (val, 'dnsName')? value?. toLowerCase()

After you make this change, the script worked are expected. Note that not all the virtual machines in my test environment had a "dnsName" (where the ""? "to protect themselves against the null value"), if this method can not be infallible.

  • Is it possible to adjust the settings of the BIOS via a command line?

    Hello

is there a possibility to set the parameters of the Toshiba BIOS on a command-line tool?
We have hundreds of Toshiba laptops and want to enable Wake On Lan.

I know there hwsetup, but as much as I know this GUI does not accept parameters.
We want to propagate the settings again on a script.

    Any solution for this?

    Thanx

    > is there a possibility to set the parameters of the Toshiba BIOS on a command-line tool?
Something like which is unknown to me and I doubt that this could be possible.
As you say there is a preinstalled Toshiba HWSetup tool which can be used to change some BIOS of some settings. But what a way to change the settings of the BIOS to the Windows operating system.

  • All icons changed to and will Outlook open, error message "command line argument is not valid."

I have been using Windows 7 and Office 2010 since the beginning of this year. Suddenly, I have a problem.

All my software program icons (shortcuts and start menu) moved somehow to be the Outlook icon. When you try to open Outlook and any other program, I get the message "cannot start Microsoft Outlook. The command line argument is not valid. Check the switch you are using. »

None of the software opens. This is true for Microsoft products and software from other companies.  The only way I can open/use some of my software is to go to the file and open it from there. How can I solve this problem?

I tried to use my Office CD to repair the software, but nothing has changed.  I tried to go into the properties of the icon to see if the problem can be corrected for other software but the links are to the correct files and the icon will not change.   Nothing I've tried works.  Even in Control Panel administrative tools are not open (they have also been changed to have the Outlook icon).

. I need help as soon as POSSIBLE. THX

Only, I've solved my problems with this re - create my profile.

To re - create your user profile name just as a different user and ensure that the user have a good administrator.

Go to my computer > users (Windows 7) or Document and settings (Win XP) > find the profile that have a questions and rename (* do not delete because we need a return to the top if there is all data must be transferred to a new profile)

Another thing need to do is to change the registry by go to start and type regedit (make sure administrator too)

Go down this path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileLIST\ * only Applicable for Windows 7

Oncve you see all the list such as S-1-5-18... something like this a check which is the profile who have questions and delete.

The profile with a questions can be seen on you under ProfileImagePath: C:\Users\

In fact, you can try to reconnect and it will be relaxing a new profile just transfer back up the old data of the profile that was rename in the new profile that has been re - create.

Hope this helps, if so please mark this answer.

    Thank you

    %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe c:\windows\system32\srrstr.dll, ExecuteScheduledSPPCreation

  • Change the command line parameters without having to restart LabVIEW

Is it possible to change the command line parameters passed to a VI WITHOUT having to restart LabVIEW?  Maybe I'm used to how it works just about any other development environment, but to have to do is quite frustrating.

    ronbrown,

Unfortunately, you'll have to close LabVIEW to pass parameters in a VI of the command prompt. You can build your VI in an executable file, and then pass parameters from the command prompt.  Because the program is its own executable file, it is not dependent on wheter LabVIEW is open.

  • How can I simply make wmp resume playback where I let go of a command line (that is to say, a time scheduled task to wake up to?)

Use my cell phone as an alarm clock and not having to load a song or play list to play - and therefore hear the same songs (can you say Groundhog Day?) -I am trying to understand a line comand for him to tasks. Already looking for "command line of wmp" and found nothing that worked. "/ play" with no aditional parameter does not work if wmp is left open or closed when the sleep.

Is it possible to change the parameters of the scheduled scan of the Microsoft Security Essentials from the command line or in a script?

I know that I can use the command to schedule the MpCmdRun.exe tool command line to run, but that do not change or remove the existing scheduled scan that appears in the software. Run regedit to merge into the corresponding registry keys does not work because the keys are "locked", probably by the running of MSSE program.

    CD /d "D:\^%APPDATA^%".

  • Change access to command line network services

    Hello world

With the help of Server 5 on El Capitan.  I adjust some parameters in the pane of the server. I was limiting the Administration remotely (and screen sharing?) to a specific machine - but made a typo.  The end result has been restricted access to 127.0.0.1 and the incorrect address.  So I can not long remote control administer the machine with the app Server, not with the ARD, and nor can I vnc inside.

    I, however, have ssh access.

Is it possible to set the IP address associated with the service of the command-line remote administration?

    Thank you

    -Jeff.

    Disable packet filtering:

    sudo pfctl(8) d

You should be able to connect to remote access. Then restart.
