Comments and stamps endangered shared review

A recurring problem; shared review (pdf format) is sent to 10 reviewers - all but one can issue stamps and comments. I found no reason why the person cannot put a stamp and post (this is unique to his newspaper - on - only Adobe knows him by his email address)

NOW THE PROBLEM EXTENDS - 2 examiners more have similar problems in addition to the comments can be placed and published are endangered!

Distribute forms by PC with Acrobat Pro 10, other reviewers use Reader 11, Windows 7 all around, all the updates and repairs and corrections have been tried without success.

Adobe is worse than cable companies when it comes to Service the customer.

  • Can comments publish at time intervals for a shared review PDF?

We have the documents that we put in the shared review for the collection of annotations/comments from various users. We would like to comments placed on the PDF to publish automatically after a period of time, if a reviewer forget to publish his observations. This means a critic who has placed several comments on a document, but failed to publish them, losing a job. In a blog of 2008 ("the same Page: why the comments shared?", by Ali Hanyaloglu), he said:

"4. you can work online or offline. Unlike clients based on a browser which required you to be online at all times submit and see the comments, cache shared comments on the comments that you add to the document until you tell Acrobat or Reader to publish them, or they get published automatically after a certain period of time (which is defined in the preferences (, by the way). »

I don't see this option in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI or XI of Adobe Reader. The only option is to search the published comments, additional reviewers, not automatically publish my comments after a specified time interval.

Anyone know if it is possible to post comments after a period of time?

    By the way:

We collect comments on our own internal Windows Server and reviewers place annotations/comments on the PDF document using Adobe Reader XI (shared comments are made from Adobe Acrobat XI).

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi wayniac,.

There is no option to post comments automatically after a time interval to the reader.

  • Acrobat shared review and services XI online Adobe

I have a 60 user + CC for subscription teams and I'm trying to use the feature of shared in Acrobat XI review. I click Send for shared review and the first option in the drop-down says "automatically download and follow the comments with Adobe online services. I select this option, click Next, it asks me to connect with my Adobe ID, click Next, add an address in the To... field, click Send. Now a progress bar window appears and says "status: creating a shared folder on the Adobe online services ' and I wait, wait and wait for progress in the progress bar but there is a button to retry. Clicking on it is futile.

Adobe online services are different from Adobe.com? This works for someone else?

Have you updated to 11.0.07 again?  It doesn't sound like you've done it yet.  I say that it is because the opportunity to use the Acrobat.com shared review feature in the user interface has been removed in the 11.0.07 update.

Is this really the case with the free player, the clients can access is no longer a PDF to add comments and mark out? We have always used a PDF file for the reviews of books/documents, but now we hear customers that there is no way to add comments and annotation. Please let me know if this is the case, or if there is a solution

'' If '' they use the free software Adobe Reader and "If" there is no security prevent this, he should be able to add comments.

It'll be hard to say what's wrong without more details such as what exact version of the reader they use, they open the pdf file in a browser or in the player itself and what exactly happens when they try to add comments.

  • Portfolios: Review, commenting and approval possible?

Is it possible to review, comment and approval to download a PDF portfolio?  We were wanting to send our deliverables to a client using the portfolio feature to create a document crispy with all our items inside, but it seems that the portfolio view is not the same < comment > delivered with normal PDF format tab.

No, review and comment are not allowed on portfolios. You have to open individual PDF within the portfolio and start the review or perform commenting on them.

  • Acrobat Pro DC and 365 customers shared SharePoint insiders, but the server does not not to the evaluators

    The basics:

    Windows 7 (64-bit)

Acrobat Pro DC (to organize shared reviews)

SharePoint Office 365 (to accommodate the shared review)

Acrobat Pro XI (for customers who try to read shared review)

I've implemented a subweb on our server SharePoint 365 following all the instructions provided in this article:

Accommodation of the shared reviews on sites SharePoint or Office 365 with Acrobat

My colleagues receive permissions change for the SharePoint site, subsite, and a document library dedicated "SharedView."

I opened a PDF file for shared review using Acrobat Pro DC and invited two colleagues to review; time with a link and once with an attachment.

I am able to add comments to the file and discovered the Tracker review, get updates, etc, and everything seems to work properly. The server status is 'green '.

However, when my colleagues try to access the files, they get a response that the server is not responding.

"Could not get new comments. Acrobat received no response from the server. Try again later or contact your system administrator. »

With the accessory, they can open and add comments, but cannot post comments to the server. When I check the State I don't see that they have accepted the review.

I was not able to reason on what else could interfere with their access to the SharedReview server. I noticed that they seem to only have Acrobat Pro XI and not only Adobe Reader. I don't think that would be a problem, as the only drive should be enough.

What other diagnoses is available for this process?

I wanted to report that I was able to implement a reviewer with Adobe Reader DC (free version) and using Acrobat Pro DC undertook a review via SharePoint 365, invite them. It was done through link, not an attachment.

They were able to open control file, see comments, I had already added, made their own observations and posted comments. Mind you, this is a test that is very limited by two users and a few comments. But even if it does not before.

I don't have a notification in my tracker, I had to open directly and look for open comments. Then I was able to open the file the comments Get command and voila another evaluator's comments were incorporated as well as mine. It worked!

I think the handshakes and signs are suspect, notifications do not work properly, but we can work around that.

So it seems that all participants in Adobe Acrobat shared comments via SharePoint 365, must use a version of "DC" of Acrobat or Reader. Acrobat Pro DC to initiate, CD, to contribute to the review.

This is a problem for all our reviewers on Abobe Reader DC (few have administrator rights), but at least she is promising to work in a limited test.

  • Last update Acrobat DC - shared review on the network stopped working

    Hello comrades,.

2 days ago, we received an automatic update to Acrobat DC and 'upgraded' to the 2015.006.30172 version.

After that, the shared review Wizard no longer allows to initiate a shared on a dedicated network drive review.

When specifying the path network folder and clicked on next, the status changes to "Failed to create the shared folder".

Before the update, it worked fine.

    Has anyone encountered this problem?

    Thank you!

  • What happens when an examiner saves a shared review file?

    Hello

I sent PDF files for review of a few people using a link to the shared file on our network in an e-mail. Everything seems to work very well, but one of the reviewers said sometimes must stop his commenting to halfway through, that he does not want to publish his comments again. Thus, it records the review file to its own computer using the "save under". What happens when he does this? It creates a share full version of the file in revision that nobody else can share? If this is the case, is that it should copy his comments in the file shared its own version? Or if it publishes its own version, it will inform the shared file on the network?

I'm curious to know what is happening with a "save under" it's because often my reviewers are asked if they want to save the file before closing, and they don't know what to do. I know that they can say 'No' and their comments are already saved, but what happens if they say 'Yes'? It records the shared version or create a new one?

    Kind regards

    zerozone110

    1. If the examiner wants to add comments, but not publish them, he can choose to 'Work offline' option drop-down menu button server icon in the bar of yellow color shown on top during the review.

2 do a "Save as" does not create a new version. All comments added and published in this version will be present in the old control file as well and all other reveiwers. There is no need to copy the comments in return.

    3. If the reviewers add comments and close file without publication, they will be asked to save the file as a draft or publish comments or delete comments. They can choose to save it as a draft and go on adding comments in this copy, come back later and publish the unpublished comments.

    4. If all the commnts are published, there is no need to save the file. All comments can be recovered at any time by making a 'check for new comments.

    Help in answering your questions?

  • Viewers need account adobe for shared reviews

    Hello

I'm experience the features of shared review and do some tests... I have an email account that I use for test purposes before they can start to use it, and when I open the file I do not see the option that allows you to add a comment, only the answer is available when you download the pdf file. Could someone help please? Thank you very much

If you want someone to participate in your shared review (initiated by you), then these people will also have a unique adobe (acrobat.com ID) ID that are not the same as yours. How download and open the control file, the examiner you will ask to connect with the review, then enter his login / password adobe on the sign in dialog in order to participate in the review. Please let me know if that answers your query.

    Thank you

  • Why Acrobat technical support seems to know anything about shared reviews?

Led evacuation, but also honestly ask why Adobe has to suck so badly in their support for Acrobat...

I was on the phone with technical support Acrobat today (outsourced team maybe?) to ask questions on another issue, I'll have with comments that disappears. I can't see the comments, but can another evaluator. I can see on the webDAV server comments are here, sitting in the XML file under the name of the reveiwer, but when I open the PDF file, it will not catch these observations.

Technology support not one, but TWO guys at Adobe seemed stunned by these XML files they think that I created. I had to explain that I have created nothing; That's what Acrobat when you create a shared review. It's an XML file for each reviewer and it sticks in a folder of your choice, which the URL name is cooked in the PDF. I had to walk each other through the process of creating a shared review, and they have both acted as if it was a mysterious process of weird that I'm jerryrigging.

They said it was 'unusual' I use a webDAV server, but I told them that webDAV is one of the three options provided by Assistant Adobe when you set up a shared review. (The other options are network and Sharepoint folder.) I told them that it is not unusual at all; in fact, I received all the instructions FROM ADOBE original installation.

They kept me waiting for three to five minutes to apparently try looking things up, or maybe just to avoid my growing anger.

I had another hunch that the problem might be that my synced folder may have to be emptied (obtained from this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3596773) and asked them if they could tell me where to find the sync on Mac folder, because this thread refers only to Windows. He had no idea. I asked him that, probably, somewhere at Adobe, where he works, anyone knows where that is installed on the Mac.

He put me on hold for three to five minutes and he said he didn't know, but he's going to "degenerate" it and get back to me in 24 to 48 hours, which is the execution time-out faster, they can gather, apparently.

The only soultions I ever find my misfortunes of Acrobat are users desperate themselves. I suspect also that only users (not Adobe technical support, who do not seem to care what anyone) he will never even read.

On my system with Acrobat 9 Pro, they file Synchronizer user is under:

    / Users/georgejohnson/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_x86/Synchronizer/resources

Could be a problem with the server for the user permissions?

  • Update in a shared review PDF

I've looked everywhere and I can't find a simple answer to this. What happens if I sent a PDF to reviewers using a shared review commented, and then I made the changes they asked... Can I update the file located in the shared to the new version, review and keep all comments? Or requires each revision it's own review?

    Thank you

    ZeroZone

You cannot change the file once a review was created - you'll walk away with new version.
