Compatibility of files between MAC 5.5 CS and CS 5.5 PC?

We are a store based on PC with some MAC here and there thrown.  Asked me to check the compatibility of files between MAC 5.5 CS and CS 5.5 PC.  The files are compatible?  either the user on a PC can create a document photoshop/illustrator/etc which is then opened by user B on a MAC without problems?

Thank you!

Yes. For programs, you said it has been the case for always and even for programs such as Premiere Pro, or again, which were specific to the platform until recently, is more a problem for CS5. Of course, you will always have to take care of different manipulations for the paths of files on different platforms for files related to the outside, but it is a different matter and nothing specific to Adobe...

  • Cannot move files between Mac and Windows

I'm Fusion 8.1.1 and OS X 10.11.5. I can no longer move files back and forth between Mac and Windows (7 x 32 or 7 x 34) while in a single window. In addition, the unit is not available (grayed out). I did a Windows Update for virtual machines two days ago and also a recent update of OS X 10.11.4 to 10.11.5 so I don't know if that's the problem. Everything seems to work another Mac running Fusion 8.0.2 OS x 10.11.5. Do not remember if I've recently updated Windows because the dates are meaningless to me.

Advice as to why it happens? In the meantime, I'll try to recover a backup of virtual machine before my recent Windows upgrade.

    Tony

The fixed! I reinstalled VMware Tools on the W7x32 and W7x64 VMs and found unity and two-way drag and drop. I do not uninstall, just ran Virtual Machine > install VMware Tools in the menu bar. There was no option to reinstall VMware Tools, so I guess that the corrupted Windows VMware Tools update that was there before the update of Windows.

  • Sharing of files between a Windows XP PC and a Windows 7 PC via a network home

I have files on an old PC running Windows XP, I want to get on my new PC running Windows 7. I tried to access the files on the network in the same way that I've always had with XP, making them available on the network through the properties of the folder.

I made the files available for sharing on the XP computer, but can't find a way to access it from the new Windows 7 PC.

With the desired files PC running Windows XP
PC to recover files is running Windows 7
The XP PC is connected through a Linksys router wireless
The W7 PC is connected to the same router via Ethernet cable

Simple, do the same for the two working groups. Windows key + break under computer. Kill the password sharing in windows 7. Right of the mouse on the LAN in Win7 network open / change advances. Select turn off password sharing. Make sure discovery tour of the network and file sharing are on.

Create a folder in XP share it. Simple file tick share if its judgment (my computer / tools / folder options / view). . Create a folder in Win 7 right of the mouse / properties / sharing / share. Select everyone up to the top, change the background of read/write. You will save mucking around with passwords, or by entering the ips in to get into the other folder. To facilitate things if you want to copy the installation files to etc. Go to start/run in win7, type shell: sendto, right of the mouse / new shortcut. Go to the network folder add it. It will appear under the send on the shortcut menu. Do the same with XP, except type sendto under start/run. And do the same thing

  • I need to share files between windows xp and Windows 7

I am unable to share files between Windows XP Home Edition and Windows 7 Ultimate edition

I have a wireless router and my two computers are connected on it.

Please give me detailed guidelines on how to share files between them.

Here are the steps of general network troubleshooting. Just cannot apply to your situation, so just take the bits that are. It may seem daunting, but if you follow the steps in the links and suggestions below calmly and consistently, you will have no difficulty to implement your sharing.

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You don't want to use the residential group unless you have all Windows 7 machines. If you do and you want to use the homegroup, see Windows 7 Help & Support. Otherwise, in sharing advanced:

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, running on Windows 7 sharing files and printer as above will take care of this for you. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

    D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response. • Is there a way I can share files between users on the same Mac without an internet connection?

    Hello world!

Quick question here: is there a way I can share files between users on the same Mac without an internet connection?

I have two users say that A and B. If I go the long way via the 'Go' menu > 'Computer', I ended up being told to contact my computer or the network administrator for assistance. Both users are admin one and file sharing is allowed in system preferences... I have to admit that I use 10.9.5 because my MacBook Pro would not work with OS Xs national parks.

Any ideas would be cool because I'm sure that it used to work fine with "Snow Leopard" without being connected to the internet - or should I just send an email to myself and recover the files on the other user :-) to recover my USB is

Choose go to folder from the Finder Go menu, provide/Users/Shared/as the path and place the files.

  • How can I share files between Windows 7 Pro and a Mac with os x?

I have Windows 7 Professional and my colleague had a Mac with os x installed. We are physically in the same room, sharing a wifi connection. How to share files between two computers? That each of them should do on his computer?

If you display links, please check beforehand that the procedure for the mac is here. I found in the internet or other of the procedures for older systems Win or network only between Win 7 PCs.

    MOSH

Of course, you can do it easily. In fact, the implementation of sharing on Win7 last month was almost as easy as it is on OS X.  ;-) I find that the snow leopard has the same bugginess of show Windows machines only randomly in the sharing of the Finder section, as it did in Leopard, however. I usually connect to Windows machines by opening a window of Finder and using go > connect to server > smb://Windows-computer-name instead. In the Win7 box, I have the network to the desktop icon (you can get this to customize > change icon).

On OS X, make sure you have checked in the file sharing system preferences > sharing. Click the Options button, and then select "share files and folders using SMB." Add the shared directories as you wish.

You must create accounts/passwords user on the Mac and Windows 7. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop in Win7 (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this.

You can find options to logon automatically for OS X in system preferences > accounts.

On Win7, go to control panel > all items in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You do not want to use Homegroup.

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

Configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, Configuration File and Printer Sharing ON will take care of that for these machines, and if you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.

OS X Firewall is done in System Preferences > Security. Click the lock to make changes, and then click the Advanced button to ensure that SMB sharing is allowed. If you set up in the share pod, it will be.

On Win7, create shares as desired. I usually just share the Public, users desktop folder and all hard drives of additional data in the system. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Problem with the help of Adobe Premiere Pro *.prproj files between PC and MAC?

Hi, I have finally got myself a MAC with a grunt to replace my PC and installed first Pro CC of the cloud on the Mac.

I copied the files on my PC, but when I try to open the first Pro CC (*.prproj files) I get the following error:

"This project has been saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro and cannot be opened in this version"

I don't understand, like the MAC and PC versions of first Pro CC have been downloaded from the cloud to Adobe.

    Can anyone offer advice please?

    Hi, Ashton,.

There is no problem of incompatibility between Mac and PC files (files .prproj) project

In your case, it is not updated to the version of Premiere Pro that is installed on your Mac. If the creative application cloud shows first as update, try updates to help Premiere Pro > updates... Menu.

FYI: You should have first installed 2014.2 Pro BUILD 8.2.0 (65)

    Thank you

  • How does the file access work between Mac and VM

Hi I am a new user to the Fusion of the VM. I have a new Mac, and I loaded Fusion of VM, some Serif desiging websites software and Vista. So, how to file access works between the Mac and the VM? All my files are on my hard drive to the Mac. I am ready to use the Serif software to make changes to my site, but how do I access files? Can they stay on the Mac and be shared - how do for them? Or transfer them to my hard drive to the VM?

    Thank you.

Can connect the guest in an operating system file system Virtual Machine as if it was another physical Machine on the LAN once properly configured at the level of the BONE in both operating systems using industry Standard SBM/CIFS shares and has nothing to do with VMware Fusion provides in itself that the Virtual Machine has a virtual network adapter connected.  No matter if it is set to bridged, NAT. (default) or host-only because you can communicate between the host and the guest with any of them.

The other option is to use VMware shared folders and or files in reverse.  While the second is a nice feature, it is problematic during the installation/uninstallation of some software in Windows Welcome and my need to be disabled mirrored folders for installs it / uninstalls and then reactivated.  To understand the issue take a look on note them it applies more so what is there in the if APPLIES to Microsoft KB Article below: article.  Take a look at you receive an "Error 1606" error message when you try to install or remove a program from Microsoft if the files in reverse are or have been activated and you get an Error 1606.

In addition to the files shared VMware and or files in reverse, you can also drag and drop files between the host and the display of the Virtual Machine, for example from office to office.  Note: All of these VMware features require the VMware Tools installed in the supported host operating systems.

Or of course, you can move the file system of the client files if you wish.

  • files between cs3 and cs5 compatibility

    Hello

What are the issues of the compatilibity between Photoshop CS3 and CS5?  Can they be used together without much (if any) questions?

    Thank you.

They can happily coexist on the same system, as long as you have the disk space.  Photoshop has always been like that.

You will be able to run one at a time, at a given moment, however.

About the compatibility of files, I did not how many it is necessary to open a file in Photoshop CS3, but the new version offers a preference setting "Maximize compatibility" to save the .psd files.  On occasion, I opened the .psd file in Photoshop CS3 saved by CS5 (using the parameter above) and I didn't know all the problems at all.
