Compatibility view settings

When I add a site to the list of display compatibility and output, it does not record. I go back and is no longer on the list. I have problems playing games on Pogo.com and the only way I can play is to use compatibility view, but after that I added the site to the list and output, it does not remain.

My small company uses JustHost to host our Web site.

Recently, I went to Firefox of Internet Explorer and found that the site is not displayed correctly. I looked back on Internet Explorer and found it was only display correctly on that because of the compatibility view.

I looked in the admin section of the site for a way to solve this problem, but I can't find anything. It is a problem, because it means that all potential customer consults our site without Internet Explorer won't be able to see properly.

Is it possible to update the site, so it can be displayed correctly in Firefox?

"Compatibility view" is a crutch for IE users, since the days when Microsoft thought they controlled the internet and had their own 'standards '.

You have some Fixin ' to do. All it may take is a tweak of the main CSS file, but it will take more than that.

  • Folder view settings and the desktop icons.

    Hello

Today, I turned on my computer to find the sight of my account settings are changed and salis.  I also found my command to change the icons of the bureau and all messed up.

Since I bought my computer, I used the settings of Windows Vista Home Premium by default for folders.

I have not downloaded anything or update of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

If I turn on "Remember folder view settings" in the folder options - nothing else happens - have seen all I don't want their value and open them in small windows.

Is someone can you please tell me why this happened?  Could this be the results of a hacker?

The second option resets all display settings. These next two commands to reset the default values defined by you.

    Reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams" /f

    Reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects2" /f

Understanding saved views and navigation records
In Windows 2000 Professional, the view you use is not always permanently saved in Windows Explorer. You can control if the views that you use are stored permanently or temporarily, to help to memorize check box of each folder view settings tab display of the dialog box folder Options (see figure 9.3).

By default the Remember each folder view settings is enabled. When you choose to leave this setting is enabled, the following occurs:

changes that you make to the folder view are saved automatically when you close the file.
    b. the display allows you to display a folder is not applied to other folders.
    c. When you open a folder, it opens in the view that you used when you last time there.
When you clear the checkbox for don't forget to display settings for each folder, the following occurs:

    a. When you start Windows Explorer, the first folder that you discover poster in saved view of the folder. Explorer Windows holds who discovers in the temporary memory and applies it to all the files that you have visited while Windows Explorer is open, unless you manually change the view.
    b. as you navigate to other folders (after having opened the original record), the view saved for each folder is ignored, and when you exit Windows Explorer, the folder view that you used to display multiple records is cleared from the temporary memory.
    c. the next time you open Windows Explorer, once more, the saved view of the first folder that you open that determines how you display multiple records.
Setting all folders on the same point of view

Some users want to have all their Windows Explorer folders defined on the same point of view. In Windows 2000 Professional, the default is that any changes to the view of the file is automatically saved when you close the file and are not applied to other folders. However, you can set all folders to the same view by using the Folder Options command, as described in the following procedure.

To set all the folders on the same point of view
    1. in my computer or Windows Explorer, set the display according to your preferences.
    2. in the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    3. in the Folder Options dialog box, click the view tab.
    4. under folder views, click on like current folder.
Important remember view settings check box each folder under the view tab of the Options dialog box of records (see Figure 9.3) affects how the display settings for individual records are applied and saved. For more information on the impact to disable this check box, see "Understanding saved views and navigation files" earlier in this chapter.

It will be built into Windows 7, any time soon?

The main reason why I love him is that I want my file music to open always as simply as possible, with a simple list of bands so it ends up being a really thin long window... It works pretty well. Windows 7 has completely lost the ability to do. I really want to have to use a 3rd party application... Please tell me it's be worked on... anyone?

    Hello

I've been looking for a solution for about 2 weeks and nothing has worked until now!

Last night, I think that I have found a workaround.  If you would like your records to maintain its display settings, then you records SHALL NOT USE THE LIBRARY to see!  the reason for this is because libraries allow you to access and mix and match the elements of one or more files quickly without moving them from their original location. Libraries themselves don't store your files or folders. Instead, they point to different locations on a hard drive or an external hard drive connected to your computer.

So, now that we have now that we can try to work around this problem I did and works very well for me.

    1. go to start - and click on your user name which is completely on the right corner.
    2. go in Tools - folder options - General tab must be low and click on 'show all files '.
    3. now you will see your "Username" folder appear under "library".   If you expand this (user name) folder, you will see your documents folders and folders of photos, music etc folders.
    4. open any folder you want, and customizes the view as desired. You can make this record at all! and it will keep its display settings.

It's worked for me!   I DO NOT USE RECORDS UNDER LIBRARY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT KEEP THE SETTINGS OUT THERE! SO I SIMPLY CLOSE THE LIBRARY AND KEEP ONLY EXPANDED MY USERNAME AND ALL THE FILES IT CONTAINS.

I HOPE THIS HELPS... PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKED AND IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER BEST WAY TO HELP.

  • Unregistered folder view settings

    Greetings,

I just upgraded to Windows Vista and I already have a problem - when I change my folder view settings (list, details, tiles, etc.), he sweeps the parameters for all the others my files. How can I change the display settings for the course record only?

    Thank you
Shane. Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385

Just to test it, and it seems to work. Basically, using 'Libraries', this is what causes the problem. To compound things, Documents, photos, music, videos and downloads links in the menu start all them open a library. To make things work, you must open a "file" (not a library). You can do this by clicking on your username at the top of the start menu. I also added this shortcut on the desktop.

To add the shortcut on the desktop,

    1. Right click on the desktop, and then click Customize
    2. Click on "change desktop icons".
    3. Click on "User files" and click OK.

  • Customer display 5.0.0 and compatibility view connection server 5.1

Curently we run see 5.0.0 eviorment but we are planing an upgrade in 5.1 mode and I'm a little confused abut compatibility view 5.1 server connection and view customer 5.0.0.

Here in this compatibility matrix, it seems that customer 5.0.0 and 5.1 server are compatible.

    ena.JPG
And here, in this compatibility matrix, it looks like this only 5.01 client is compatible with Server 5.1

    dva.JPG

So if I upgrade the servers to connect to 5.1 will be users with 5.0.0 customers still able to connect to their desktop?

    Best regards, Primoz

Customer display 5.0 is compatible with the 5.1 server connection; However, the 4.x clients are not. That's what you see above.
